    From the moment of meeting Kevin , I knew I found a great place. He sat , listened to me and my challenges & he and Matt have pushed me , challenged me & supported me in a way to make sure you don’t get injured along the way. As someone who’s into fitness, this was very important to me. Working out at Locomotion is a workout you will have never experienced before regardless of your fitness level. EveryBODY is different, find your at locomotion.

    If I can rate locomotion with more than 5 stars I would. I was an active person. I ran marathons , I am a CrossFit-ter, I love working out … until everything was put into hiatus Bec of back injury where I could barely stay standing for long hours to having trouble sleeping in my back Bec of back pain. The pain was intolerable to the point where i was scared of moving again. Kevin helped me get the fear out of moving. He cares about people, he has the knowledge. Give him the trust and let him show you what locomotion can do. I love this place!! You won’t regret it.

    I'm just half-way through the on-boarding process and I'm already feeling the benefits of the strength and mobility that comes with natural movement. If this is the type of physique you're looking for then this is place I most highly recommend!

    I restarted my movement journey with @locomotionnewyork, @kevinneglia, @bruceshi 6 months ago and it’s been incredible! Kevin and Bruce’s coaching is beyond reproach and they continue to exceed my expectations. Thanks to their coaching, support, and motivation, I continue to achieve movements and routines once thought too challenging to accomplish (ring routines, 5 rep strict ring muscle up, shoulder stands, etc). I continue to be impressed with their ability to coach movement(s) to all skill levels, their focus and attention to each student, and their ability to create a positive environment. Based on my confidence in @locomotionnewyork, I also entrusted my three kids to attend. They now attend and greatly enjoy the kids movement and specialty classes.

    I stumbled upon Loco Motion through instagram when I was looking to take a new approach to my health and fitness, because I couldn’t stand the monotony of my old gym routine and I am so glad that I decided to give it a try. Just a few months in to my practice here and I’m feeling stronger and healthier with less back pain than I’ve had in a very long time. In the beginning, I was nervous about not being strong enough for some of the movements I was seeing others do, but i had nothing to worry about because all of the movements are scalable and the staff will work with you to find what version is best for where you are currently and help develop the strength and skills to progress over time. Every class is different and offers fun and challenging ways to move and strengthen both my body and my mind. Working out is no longer a chore but something I look forward to doing because of the classes and community here.

    Amazing teaching staff, really welcoming community and students, great classes to show you where your strengths and weaknesses are. Forces you to think about movement differently. Has been really fun for me and every time I leave class I’m always feeling really happy even if there were things in class that were difficult and I feel like I struggled with. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know.

    I decided to try Loco Motion as I recently had a baby, wanted to have more energy, feel healthier and fitter. And - I felt like I needed an outside motivator to keep me committed to a lifestyle change. I didn't know what to expect from Loco Motion as it doesn't seem like a traditional gym which was refreshing but also made me (just) slightly hesitant. From the first get to know you session I felt very comfortable with Kevin and at Loco Motion. I felt comfortable giving up full control to the trainers (I've worked with Kevin and Matt) to guide me on what's best for me and my body, as they are clearly very knowledgeable. Sometimes I feel bad that I don't ask more questions regarding why they do something, just so I can learn a little, bc it's quite clear that there's a strong foundation in theory and practice. I also like that they incorporate games into some of the training sessions to keep the energy light while still challenging you physically. In the couple of months I've been going I have noticed a marked difference in my energy levels, strength and how clothes fit. This is in large part due to training at Loco Motion which has had a ripple effect on how I approach daily activities to ensure I continue to move. I can't say enough good things about Loco Motion and am happy I made the decision to begin training with them.

    I highly recommend Kevin and Locomotion. If you are looking for a lifestyle of free movement and free thinking, try this unique and special place! Flexibility, strength, focus, muscle awareness, self awareness, and a great group of people is what you will find at Locomotion!

    I have been going to locomotion for almost 3 months now and me and my body are loving it! I’m moving my body and mind in different ways than I am used to, and I feel much more mobile and strong since doing so. The locomotion crew does a great job providing guidance while making sure the classes are fun, engaging and full of new ways to think and move! If you’re on the fence about trying something new/switching up your exercise regimen, definitely give locomotion a shot - you won’t regret it!

    We need more people like Kevin! Passionate, dedicated humble and extremely intelligent person! Joining Loco Motion has been a life changing experience! 90% of muscle and joint complaints have slowly faded just after 12 sessions, definitely different than typical gym routine why loco motion is worth every penny! Affordable and class schedules are convenient. Private sessions are the way to go but if you enjoy group sessions that’s a whole different experience in itself. So glad I found this place right here in the heart of Dix Hills. Thanks Kevin & team for making me feel right at home. 💕

    If you're feeling hesitant about joining because you're unsure what to expect, take the leap! I had been following the Locomotion Instagram for a long time before finally getting the courage to sign up and I wish I joined sooner! Welcoming isn't strong enough a word to describe how the staff and other members treat new people. I'm only a few weeks into the program and I love it more and more with each class. Don't hesitate and get moving!

    I have been working out at Loco Motion New York with Bruce for a little over a year now. I am in my 60's and when I started I suffered from chronic pain from a previous injury. Bruce works me hard but he is so skilled at knowing what to work on and what to avoid if it aggravates anything. I have to say, I really look forward to my twice weekly semi private classes. I feel great- am almost completely pain free and look and feel so much stronger and toned. I have been getting a lot of compliments lately with people telling me I look great and asking me if I'm working out! Love this place- everyone here from staff to Kevin the owner, to all of the members are wonderful and so supportive. I recommend Loco Motion NY 1000%!

    I decided to try locomotion after having knee pain from running long distance. After 4 months I was able to run 10k without knee pain. I have been trying different types of gyms/group classes, couldn’t stay longer than 6 months. It got boring. Loco motion’s every class is different so it’s impossible to get bored. They are completely unique, as are the classes and the students who fill the room. It never feels like a workout to me, it’s feeling of discovering my body and having fun. Cannot recommend Loco enough.

    Kevin's way of training+ teaching is next level. I have spent far too many years in various gyms always striving for some sort of perfect that doesn't exist. Kevin has helped me realize that perfect is the enemy of good- and forward progress is better than the outcome. His approach is kind, warm, fun, and always with the goal of maximizing your own potential. I feel strong, vibrant, healthy, and have a positive relationship with movement and my body for the first time in a while! If you are looking to get fit (mentally and physically) and step outside your comfort zone- I can't recommend Kevin's workouts enough. You won't regret it.

    Incredible results from amazing coaches. When I first started I lacked the skills to properly climb a rope or perform a handstand. After training with Kevin and his team, I can now confidently do both. Unlike my experiences in other gyms, where I felt embarrassed and awkward while learning new skills, Loco Motion offers an incredibly non-judgmental, caring, and accepting environment. They encourage you every step of the way. Highly recommended.

    An exceptional studio. I found this place unexpectedly. The instructors are patient and keep a log of your progress and monthly goal reviews. It’s an eclectic mix of various forms of fitness and art. All of the instructors Kevin,Matt and Bruce offer different perspectives. There is also a community aspect which makes locomotion very unique.

    I have been going to Locomotion for a couple of months now and I CANNOT say enough about it. I, like the rest of the world blew out my lower back and sit behind a desk all day. I was in unbearable back pain and couldn't even make it up a regular flight of stairs without stopping to catch my breath kind of pain. I started working with the people over there and my quality of life has improved! I can walk up the stairs and even carry a small load of laundry now 😁 I can get out of bed now without wanting to ooze off the bed, onto the floor and stay there until help comes. 😏 I have been sticking my landings when I fall over nothing or trip. My body doesn't hurt the next day. I can go on and on, but you have to go and see what it's like for yourself. You will walk out feeling very limber.....with no pain!

    I am very happy to say that joining the Locomotion community was a great decision. Huge shoutout to Bruce who has been guiding me through strengthening my shoulder after a minor injury at the end of last year. Our sessions coupled with PT have left me feeling alot stronger and in significantly less pain. I am very grateful for both him and Kevin who have been super informative encouraging and welcoming the last 9 weeks. I can’t wait to continue learning and working 1 on 1 and within class settings as well going forward.

    Joining locomotion has been one of the best things I’ve done for myself over the past couple of years! Kevin, Bruce, and Matt are wonderful teachers- thoughtful, approachable, and encouraging. The approach to fitness they use is unique, challenging, and so fun!! I’ve experienced many positive physical and mental shifts while practicing here. The community as a whole is super welcoming from day one as well! I highly recommend locomotion for anyone who wants more play & variety in their movement routine and to meet lots of friendly and interesting folks in the process!!

    Hi…about a year ago someone mentioned to me about Locomotion gym and I decided to check it out…fast forward a year later Locomotion is now part of my family. I found here unique programs that allow me to increase my mobility, improve my strength, and my favorite- handstands. Bruce, Kevin, Matt..are the most amazing teachers, with tons of knowledge and motivation. I would recommend to everyone to stop by and see it for yourself ❤️💪😊

    I was following Locomotion on Facebook for a while before I decided to dive in and I’m so happy I did. My main goal was to learn handstand but they have taught me so much about movement and mobility. My coach Bruce has been beyond awesome and patient as I work on conquering my fear of going upside down. Everyone here is so friendly and it is such a welcoming and fun atmosphere. If you are thinking about trying… DO IT…. You will learn so much, get in great shape and actually have fun doing it!

    Being a student at Loco Motion goes beyond "working out" when you come into class you are learning, thinking, getting stronger, playing, moving your spine, balancing, lifting, crawling...the list goes on. The teachers at Loco have so much knowledge and do a great job of teaching complex patterns/concepts and breaking them down. Loco is for everyone, if you are looking to be challenged and to move in a meaningful way come try a class. You are for sure pushed out of your comfort zone here but in the best way possible. I am so grateful for being introduced to Loco Motion, it truly has impacted my life in such a positive way both physically and mentally.
