Our
host,
Hicham,
got
our
holiday
off
to
the
best
start
imaginable.
From
picking
us
up
at
the
airport
at
6:00
in
the
morning,
checking
us
in
early
to
relax,
and
driving
us
to
see
some
local
sights
(and
picking
us
up),
to
giving
us
some
suggestions
of
hiking
trails
and
places
to
eat
in
the
evening.
We
hiked
his
recommended
trail
(from
the
guest
house
up
to
the
Statue
of
Our
Lady
of
Lebanon)
and
were
served
fresh
tabouleh,
bread,
and
wicked
coffee
beforehand
to
set
us
up
for
it.
After
all
of
this,
when
we
woke
up
on
our
second
day,
we
were
served
the
most
splendid,
fresh
breakfast
of
authentic
Lebanese
food
-
we
didn't
wake
up
at
a
specific
time
-
it
just
appeared
when
we
did.
As
for
the
guest
house
itself,
it's
full
of
personality,
with
a
sweet
mountain-view
courtyard
full
of
hand-painted
murals,
a
fountain,
plants,
a
pool,
and
comfy
places
to
relax.
Our
room
was
clean
and
cool
and
had
a
balcony
with
views
of
Harissa
and
the
sea.
We
wish
we
had
stayed
longer.
