Good location in port area.Terrible food for Greek standards & cuisine. and these standards are very simple - food to be fresh and to be delivered fast to table. Maybe is good for people who never visit average Greek tavern. Gyros portion was pork fillet on slice - That was a joke. Only one option for ouzo bottle (200ml). Good idea but terrible execution! Choose other places in Varna - there are any in 1st alley.

it was honestly a terrible experience. we visited “Marmalad” last year in August, it has a great location and a beautiful sea view but the food was horrible. i ordered a “Elizabeth Pizza” which was without onion, because i hate onions, I waited an hour long for my pizza which was with ONIONS. turns out the rude waitress gave me “elizabeth regina pizza” which is with onions and something else, i ordered elizabeth and said loud and clear WITHOUT onion. anyways… i ordered some lemonade (i think) and i waited 30 minutes, and it wasn’t even that cold, i was so disappointed, we also ordered a sea bass and we waited also a hour and it wasn’t even good. we were SO mad… for dessert i decided to order ice cream and i thought that it would be good. i ordered raspberry sorbet and mango, the raspberry was kinda good, but the mango was disgusting. i don’t recommend this restaurant. we went there hoping for a good night out and great food but we were extremely disappointed. oh and also!!! i forgot to mention that we went there at 11PM and the waitress told us that the kitchen is going to close soon, but the other waitresses were accepting orders from people on the tables next to us?? we ordered food but we were disappointed. my cousin also ordered a salad and when we got back in our hotel she threw up. i don’t recommend this restaurant at all.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The menu is extensive and the food is well cooked and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Well worth a visit👍

The food is great. Our fave dishes are Quattro Formaggi Pizza and Pistachio Chocolate Cake!!! The interior on the second floor is amazing, like you are in a magic fairy little sweet house. The staff is kind and helpful.

I got a food poisoning last night. We got our food in less than 5 minutes after we ordered and it wasn't just salad! I am sure they are preparing the food in advance and give it to clients whenever somebody orders. Also waiter said that 3 people gave back one of the cheesecakes, as it was bad and she doesn't recommend it. By visiting Marmalad you have a perfect way to ruin your vacation with food poisoning. Not recommended.

One of the newer restaurants at the Varna port. It gets very busy in the evenings, but the food is really good. Worth a visit if you are into Mediterranean food.

Service was ok, Standard, but food far from good, not terrible but so far the worse restaurant I've been during my holidays and the cherry on the cake dirty glasses and cutlery

Only the view on the balcony was good! Prices are inflated. After ordering a large beer (500ml) I received an almost empty glass and the rest of the glass was filled with foam. The service was poor and the food was not up to standard

Varna seems to be the only place I have ever visited where meals come separately instead together. This completely messes up the point of dining together as we all got our meals at different times. Also, service is terrible in most places but this one is the winner. We had to follow up on our order multiple times and still didn't get everything. Waiters are pretty casual and disinterested. The food was ok, not great, not terrible depending on the dish, the atmosphere was nice with live music.

Ok food. Pictured is the vegan pizza. I recommend they invest in some vegan cheeses or some other options to make the pizza a bit more interesting. Very nice decorations and location.

Balcony view is great, but that is where it stops. Even the coffee is overpriced and the quality of everything couldn’t get much more worse.

The food is not bad, but the place reeks of cigarette. Every other table had people smoking indoors and ventilation was nearly non-existent.

I have very visited this restaurant three times already. Once in the start of the summer and once in mid September. All my visits were in the late afternoon rather then in the evening. That said I had very positive experience with the staff and the general atmosphere and feel of the place. The service was good and most of the orders arrived on time. The food was generally tasty - there are certainly room for improvement. Some of the dishes I liked were the squid, the "tarama" style caviar and the pork shank. The prices are slightly higher, but comparable to those of other sea side restaurants. I know some friends that complained from the slow service and the lould music. This said I would recommend this restaurant for lunch and early dinner, when the place is more relaxed and less crowded.

It takes forever to order and get even drinks. The staff is completely useless. Better make it self-service. Ask for the bill right away, that is another 20 minutes.

Great food great service lovely location!

AVOID!!! We were 8 people, none of the dishes we ordered were eatable. The meat was like it was frozen and unfrozen at least twice, it was dry, impossible to chew. To top it all, one of us got food poisoning from their mussles. Additionally, all very overpriced: the prices in the menu are without tax, expect 20 % on top! Such a scam.

The food was underwhelming when taking into account the asking price. The service also wasn’t super impressive, as the waitress spilled some sauce on the floor. Otherwise, the location is good and the view outside is nice.

Great place! Friendly service but it took too much time to deliver a shot of espresso and lemonade. The lemonade was great- one of the best in town but coffee was not. My girlfriend was very impressed of the interior!

Friendly people and good environment near the sea. Lovely view. The downside was that the serving plates were a bit rusty and the food was a bit oily.

This place has not changed.. Only the name.. Food comes late and cold... Out of 6 people only 4 ate.. Drinks take about 30minutes...then starters another 30minutes...you will be in for a long night especially if you eat upstairs... Food is delivered up to the bar... Where it can sit for a while hence Cold food!!! May be better service in the day.. I won't know because we won't be back.

Best enjoyed with sunny weather outside with the wonderful view of the port. Cake menu is pretty strong and tasty. Offers classy dishes. Servants are helpful and polite. Deserves a second visit.

The worst food I have ever tasted , meat it’s old with disgusting taste . Never go there unless you want to get food poisoning. This restaurant should never serve food to people or even animals!!!
