If you want to visit the spa area, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! We were not guests of the hotel, we just came to the indoor pool and sauna... better not sell the spa visit to passers by, mockery. One small pool, cold steam bath, sauna and infrared normal. The pool area is outdated, small, like a low level sports club pool, NO JACUZZI, this is very unexpected. We stayed at the place for 3 hours only for half an hour, disappointment and spoiling the mood... Lithuania is not a luxury country, but we still have to find such a poor spa space. We didn't understand what we paid for, no relaxing atmosphere.

From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The check-in process was swift and efficient, and they made sure all my preferences were accommodated. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, offering breathtaking views of the city and the sea. I couldn't get enough of the stunning vistas from my room, which was spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with all the modern amenities I could ask for. The dining options at the hotel were exceptional. From sumptuous buffet breakfasts to exquisite fine dining experiences, every meal was a delight to the taste buds. The hotel's restaurants boasted a diverse range of cuisines, and the quality of the food was nothing short of exceptional. The highlight of my stay was, without a doubt, the casino. The International Hotel Casino lived up to its name, providing a thrilling and glamorous gaming experience. Whether you're a seasoned gambler or a novice, there were plenty of games and slot machines to choose from, and the atmosphere was electric.

Avoid sea side rooms unless you want to listen to party every evening and fireworks around 10pm.

We’re staying that hotel in Sept 2022 and hotel was full of men groups who are always shouting. The room next to ours shouted all 2 nights, we could not sleep , however we called 2 times reception at 02:30am and warned them that incase that shouting and noise keeps on, we call police, reception also could not make them to stop noise and in the morning we had to change our room. In the pool same men group also shouting and disturbing everyone even the security could not stop them, however its forbidden to smoke in the pool, they kept smooking and there was a big noise, shout,disturbance in the pool where we could not relax. Its pity that hotel security could not make anything to this group of men and as a hotel guest we felt very disturb both day and night. In addition to this, during breakfast similar men groups combine the tables and having brekfast by shouting and making big noise and disturb… Unfortunately because of this, i can not say anything good about hotel and i do not suggest anyone! A hotel should protect their guests confort and safety.

Good hotel. Very rich and delicious food in the restorant. Quite busy, but in the room it's ok. For 5 start hotel furniture and bathroom looks overused... Every even small thing cost something... We tried to play billiards in shared aria, first it was a challenge to understand how to pay for it, and after we figured it out it didn't work. In general our experience was pretty good there, but defenitely it's not 5 star experience...

We booked half board, the food is not good. No bacon in the morning, no scrambled eggs, all pastries are very dry, all the cheeses are very sour. In the evening, not a lot of meat choices, some are burned. If you are not on season (summer), the hotel is far away from the city.

The hotel is great, deserves 5 stars, decent food, helpful staff, good spa and pool services. The only issue we had was the fact it was way too noisy! There is a club right in front of the hotel which closes at 2 AM every night, with very loud music so we really could not sleep earlier than that. However if you are looking to party a lot and spend your nights clubbing this is very convenient but if you are looking for a relaxing holiday not so much (you can try a higher floor maybe, we stayed at 7th floor and could hear the music very loudly).

The staff is very rude! I don't understand why they answer questions as we should know them. They seem annoyed when we politely asked questions or made requests. Being specific, they didn't explain we have a complementary drink at the bar. Also, I told them that the hairdryer and the toilet plug weren't working and, although the problem was solved, the receptionist was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. The room telephone also didn't work. As international hotel they should take into account that we came from different cultures. We don't expect the best treatment but at least we expected to be respectfully addressed. In fact, at the cassino bar they were extremelly rude (Katya), when she told us that a table wasn't free (the table is full of empty cups and shishas), saying"don't you see" and making faces gestures. However, what was really happening is that they didn't clean the table and left the stuff on there. As you can see in the picture, the table has not been "occupied" for at least an hour since we experienced this situation. I also attach other pictures to prove that this hotel doesn't meet a 5 start hotel standards. As you can see, there were plates on the corridor's floor, next to our room and the smell was horrible!! Moreover, people were smoking cigarrets at the cassino which it is currently banned by law. I want to remark that the housekeeping lady and the costa cafe barman at the lobby were lovely :) Also, the buffet was really nice.

All great just the noise coming from surroundings and you have to know Golden Sands is extremely sound polluted place

Dont come in winter if you not going to Casino (!!!). Great place, clean, beautiful location ( on the beach), amazing pool and spa. But in wonter everthing is close in the area. I will come here in summer again.

Absolutely terrible customer service experience, from front line staff up to management. Staff was rude, belligerent, and at one point threatened me with violence from security. I felt unsafe on and around the property. I'd strongly recommend avoiding this property. The rooms are noisy and dated. The entire hotel, rooms included, smell of cigarette smoke. There are insufficient elevators, and you often have to wait for them.

It should be better for a 5 star hotel. The hotel position is right on the beach, and it is ok, but because of that it was quite noisy in the night. It wasn't a big problem, since the windows are very good. The bed was comfortable, but overall cleaningness was not perfect. The restaurant was good, but the service could be better.

What a wonderful and luxurious hotel. First class service 24/7. Large and very good furnished rooms with balconies. The highlight is the bar on the 17th floor. Great location right on the beach. I'll be happy to return in peak season. Thank you very much.

We organised a business meeting with 2 groups of 25 people during the peak period of the summer in July 2024. Besides this, the service level have been at the level of our expectations. The comfort of the huge rooms have also allowed a smooth stay during. Thumbs up to the team!

I visited Varna again after more than 20 years and my impressions of the Golden Coast are mixed. The hotel is in a place surrounded by typical mass tourism, with all its advantages and disadvantages. There is always a lot of bustle, there are many bovli on the beach, but fortunately there are also good quality restaurants. The accommodation met expectations in terms of price/value, but I would definitely not go there again. There are plenty of gambling guests who come to play for a day or two in the huge casino and that's it. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool was still quite cold in the first week of June, even though it looked very impressive. The breakfast is worthy of a 5-star hotel, plentiful and extremely varied. What hasn't changed is the hospitality of the Bulgarian people and, unfortunately, the fact that the beach - respect for the exception - is still dirty. However, progress is visible, they are building dynamically, new hotels are being built on the shores of the Golden Sands.

I have to say that the hotel attends were very nice.. the food was nice, the buffet resturant was full of food and great staff! - we booked 2 rooms next to each other.. the same kind of rooms.. however at the check in they didn’t gave us what we’ve booked and the rooms were very far from each other.. so it wasn’t a very pleasant stay, also the lifts is horrible, i could wait up to 10 min. Till it arrives, they should add more.. it is not ideal for a hotel like this.

Close to the sea, sea view, great service, great food selection with a touch of traditional cuisine, we had a generous room with large balcony. The picture below is the sunrise seen from our room.

I stayed at this hotel in Superior Room with Resort View and Balcony - Free Parking for 4 nights at 12-16 September . Lovely spacious room with a balcony, a minibar in the refrigerator, a TV, a coffee machine with capsules, a tea set and water, as a compliment from the hotel. You also get a complimentary drink at the bar. Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, delicious food. Provided airport transfer upon request. The beach is 2 minutes from the hotel. Rooftop pool. Hotel is nice but the food isnt really good to be honest. Rooms and view from the balcony are all right. Medical Center try to rob you.

The hotel is in a high level. Food is diverse and clean. Most of employees is welcoming. Well wormed pool in the lobby level. A casino near the lobby, a small playing room for kids. There's an ATM just outside the hotel, some stores around, taxis for the hotel guests just outside, but in the evening everything is dead. No buses or something like that not even a taxi at the evening. so you are on your own. As understood from above the hotel location is problematic - you have a 20m drive to the center of Varna, 30/35m drive to the airport.

The best buffet restaurant in town! Delicious food, friendly staff and upscale ambiance. Concierge(buffet restaurant) Milena was very nice and helpful-up to Ritz-Carlton standard professional young lady. Extremely satisfied with the place!

Hotel is definitely a 5***** hotel with all amenities and facilities needed for a good and relaxing vacation. Stayed in the new area. Rooms are huge & very spacious The infinity pool is beautiful and stylish. Only 2 things that needs to be improve are the elevators & the ice machines that didn't work. ***They elevators very slow and they stop in almost every floor because 3 elevators in the main lobby are not enough in a 17 floors hotel. ***Ice machines on floor 3 & 7 didnt work , when u go to a full day at the beach u need ice. Thankfully the staff in the restaurant were very helpful and helped on that matter.

Tried the "brunch&spa" offer here and it was really awesome. The SPA area is perfect with all the stuff you could wish in a 5* hotel, the staff was super friendly and cooperative. The restaurant on the 17th floor (I think) has great ambience and awesome sea view. Pleasant, cozy and also suitable for remote working. The food was also top, 5*

One of the few places in Bulgaria where you'll experience proper hospitality and enjoy great sea views! We loved our stay at International Hotel, Golden Sands! We stayed only for one night and regardless of all the mess around the prom parties in Golden Sands, the staff was able to help us with anything we needed. They were super friendly and hosted us better than we expected, actually better than any place in Bulgaria we have been before! We were also treated to a great breakfast at the executive restaurant which had great sea views. I also really appreciated that they had local Bulgarian wine in the mini-fridge and the cosmetic products were also from a local brand.

It‘s a great Hotel in the Goldensands 👍🏼 It is my second time here and it‘s again perfect. The hotel is always clean and the employees are friendly. Skyfall Pool, Casino and the view from the room are also all just awesome 🔥 I can definitely prefer this hotel!

Outstanding service! Boyana and Flora did an amazing job giving the best service ever! We loved every second of our stay at the skyfall pool and the service was excellent! The Manager came to check on us and she was very polite and made our stay comfortable and relaxed! We will definitely come back at International Hotel and Casino and we would like to “Thank” all of the staff at skyfall pool for making our stay delightful and welcoming! Thank You everyone!

First night spent in a room with a dirty and broken second bed while I paid for a high-end room without compensation. The rest of the stay went well.

Big five star hotel without all the luxury you anticipate. The food was less than mediocre. Very far from city center. Stuff were great. I don't recommend the "garden view" rooms, really disappointing. Cost more for a very ugly garden. The casino isn't more than okay. I don't understand how they got the 5 stars in the first place.

Very good food, that's all this hotel has to offer. The pool is nothing compared to what's in the pictures. The water is very cold, the sunbeds are 'reserved' for customers who will come and pay for them. Even with full board plus you don't get free drinks at the pool bar, and drinks at the restaurant are restricted to glass coca cola products, water and a glass of beer. Staff is rude as well and this is by no means a 5* hotel. More like a 3 and a half * hotel. Dissapointed.
