This place was something that looked small (attached to a strip of businesses) and probably not a place I would’ve initially been attracted to had a local not suggested it. The inside was small, but the wait was not long and was worth it. There was plenty of outdoor seating available, but we wanted to stay inside, so we chose to wait. They brought out soup and Eddie’s special (crabstick & cream cheese) complementary. I’ve been craving Eddie special ever since we went there. The sushi rolls (Tampa & volcano) and teriyaki chicken were also great. Great service. If I lived in the area, I’d be there weekly!!

The service is fast. That’s the one star. The venue was dog eared at best. Everything was worn and ragged including walls and tables. The bathroom was filthy. The sushi was far from fresh and I was concerned about eating some of the pieces. I don’t think reviewers know good sushi, or even mediocre sushi. For two of us the bill was $60 including tip.

This place is a step above gas station sushi. Let me explain why... First, when we called in our order the lady who took it was very rude. She told us they didn't have items when we asked for them to be added to our sushi rolls. They did, we just had to say it in another way for them to understand. Which is the exact reason why they're getting two stars instead of only one. They were able to accommodate our extras added to the sushi. It was done in 15 minutes however when I got there to pick it up, I walked in and felt like they were more confused than I was when I said that I was picking up food. Nothing kind or warming about there greeting. Now, onto the food, very little taste. The house salad is a joke, it is literally lettuce with a little bit of dressing that has no flavor. As you can see in the picture, it is not worth $2.75. The sushi was of decent flavor( when I say decent I am comparing to it's lower gas station counterpart), however it fell apart on pickup, rice didn't even stay on the seaweed from the outside, they are extremely small size sushi rolls for the price and I don't know if I will get sick from it or not. If you needed a picture of the sushi for me to show you, just think about the effort in the salad and imagine it in sushi form. There are definitely better places in the Brunswick area. Waste of time and money.

Good quality sushi, especially for the area... decent environment... service felt rushed .. no wait time .. if you order a bowl of rice they bring hoppy fried rice not the typical white rice you get at sushi restaurants (just make sure you specify steamed white rice if that's what you want) Went a second time... got a togo lunch order, much smaller rolls.. be aware Philadelphia roll here is only pho crab meat and cream cheese.. jb roll is what most places call a Philadelphia roll

I was extremely happy with the food and atmosphere, but I was offended when they decided to put the check next to me before I even finsih my meal and I was planing to order more food but I left half full.

We lucked out finding FancyQ in Brunswick! From the complimentary appetizer and soup, to the freshest sushi and avocado salad and the cheerful service, we truly enjoyed the experience!

I gave this place three stars because the food is good. The service is good. The boss screaming and yelling in a Japanese rage was unexceptionable! No boss in any business should scream and yell at their employees and especially in the dining room right beside me! That employee did not deserve such treatment! We won’t go back because we will not be subjected to this type of atmosphere! Boss man you were so wrong in your actions!

So, I have mainly been going to the location on St Simons, but I was in the area, so I stopped here for lunch the other day. I was very happy to see that the level of quality and the food was just as good as the other location. I sat outside because they were busy and there were no inside tables available, and even the bar counter was full. I stuck with my usual, the lucky Dragon roll and spicy crab salad. Both were delicious and so was the complimentary portion of the Eddy Special roll!

This is a tiny little restaurant that is wonderful. You better get there early or you will be waiting for a table. The #4 roll is great.

My kids and I generally eat here once a week (because it’s their favorite) but after the past 3 experiences, I will never step foot back in this establishment. Food quality has went down tremendously. Service is well below acceptable. The rudeness from the staff AND owner is something I will not tolerate.

Honest review: First off the food is very good. I’d recommend the land and sea roll. The bad part is service is terrible. It’s not very clean in comparison to others. Owners have issues with translation. If you like honest reviews please press the like and or follow button. Have a great day!!!

Oh my goodness what a great place to eat. I particularly enjoy the outside porch tables during good weather. The food is always wonderful and fresh, the staff always happy and helpful. If you are a local or visiting you have got to try this place if you are a sushi lover or if you just into Asian food.

Great sushi place. The staff are great and the food is great. I’ve been to both St Simons and Brunswick and had good luck with both.

We go at least once a week to grab a highway 17 roll and some hibachi and it is always phenomenal. Being greeted with soup and an eddys special is awesome, if you walk I'm hungry you have good food immediately before your main course, and the food itself always slaps lol

Excellent sushi! Ate lunch, chef's sushi special, which was 4 rolls for about $15. Small appetizer, plus soup, and salad along with the rolls, which were a mix of raw and cooked. Delicious. Has a good sized outdoor seating section, which was great.

The food here was so delicious. My husband got General Tso and I got Hibachi chicken. We shared a roll that was cool and tasted really good! The place was busy but the place was clean and the waitress was friendly and always made sure we were served! Great place to dine!

We’ve eaten here before and been pleased. This visit to the area brought disappointment with our take out orders. The crunchy roll fell apart when we tried to eat it and the Eddie special was different. The pieces were cut too big and the breading would not stay on. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. To keep up their busy pace, someone will need to do quality control or they will lose business for sure. Won’t be ordering in future.

The food was good. I just wish I had more sauce on my fried sushi. The tea was simply amazing!!! Also the customer service is top notch. Keep up the good job ladies.

The food is wonderful, and I have enjoyed each kind of sushi we've ordered! The service is always great. The restaurant is very small, and space is limited, but the sushi and hibachi are totally worth it!

Fancy Q has become Funky Q. We had 2 hibachi plates and a Golden Dragon Roll. The hibachi steak was like jerky, the chicken was like rubber and the shrimp were weird and greasy. Honestly, the miso soup gave me the creeps. Even the salad was soaked in water... maybe they lost their colander? The free Eddie's special the manager brought to our table was fresh and tasty. The staff seemed unconcerned with guests, in fact not one employee made eye contact with us!! Not once did our server check on us. We had to wave him down to get his attention as he was preoccupied on his phone the entire time. I'm not one to leave a bad review. Things have to be horrendous for me complain but Fancy's is indeed horrendous and funky.

The food here is delicious! They give you the house sushi in the same manner as you get chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant! The house dressing on the salad isn't the average ginger dressing it's sweeter and not umami, a soup comes with the meals as well. All this before you even get your meal. I recommend the tempura and the highway...(forgot the number) sushi roll! Prices aren't bad at all.

Absolutely delicious! The prices were great and the wait for food wasn't long. They start you off with appetizer called Eddie's Special and soup. I had Hibachi chicken. My friend had a California sushi roll with added crab meat and avocado. The service was excellent!

I think I got scammed… I want to preface this by saying the food here is great, but I’m writing this incase anyone goes through the same situation with a particular employee. I ordered a take-out Shrimp Hibachi over the phone and my order came out to around $21. I rarely ever pay with cash but my boyfriend gave me $35 to pay with. I did not count my money when I gave it to the cashier (my mistake), but I didn’t give her all the cash I was carrying, and I knew I had $35 in my wallet when I entered. The hostess asked me if I wanted my change back, but didn’t specify how much, and her tone gave the implication that it was almost nothing. After all I’ve worked retail for years and the only times I’ve ever asked/been asked that question was if the customer was owned literal PENNIES. So I said no not thinking much of it, I don’t like carrying small coins. When I arrived back home I had $5 cash remaining. She asked me if I wanted my change back when she owed me $9!!! And did NOT tell me she owed me $9. In summary, ALWAYS ASK FOR YOUR CHANGE BACK HERE! I didn’t go back to the restaurant to figure it out because I thought I was much too at fault for it… but after talking it out with others I realized it was inappropriate for the hostess to ask me that/not specify the amount whenever she owed me so much. At all of my jobs I’ve always had to tell the customer the change they’re owed. I was getting a take out order so it made no sense that she would think of it as a tip. I think she asks that question to people like me who aren’t paying attention, and ends up pocketing the money as “tips”. Even though she did nothing to serve me because it was take out.
