First time trying Idam on the top floor of MIA. Extremely beautiful and elegant interior, really loved the Arabic calligraphy and poetry on the carpets and chairs. They had a special caviar tasting menu to celebrate their 10 year anniversary and it was well worth the price and experience. The menu focused on 3 types of caviar, Ossetra Beluga and Sevruga. The whole experience took about 3 hours and I definitely recommend it for a special night out. It was an 8 course meal but with a couple more surprise courses. Started off with their freshly baked bread and butter and salt. Then we were served with an amuse bouche of small bites topped with lots of caviar. For me the weirdest and maybe not that flavorful dish was the pre starter which was an almond milk mousse topped with caviar. All the other dishes were delicious and beautifully crafted. Then the starter of scallops in a parsley oil topped with lots of caviar, incredible! Then roasted potato with seaweed and savory herb broth, really flavorful. For the main courses, we started off with Seabass served in a creamy caviar sauce with caramelized chicory, this was my favorite dish, the creamy sweet taste of the sauce and chicory with the salty caviar. Next was the roasted chicken with mushroom and spicy pepper sauce. The last main course was seared wagyu beef with a tarragon and shallot reduction. This made it a bit spicy but paired well with the steak and caviar. For the desserts we were first served with their citrus composition of loomi/lime ice cream on top of grapefruit skins. This was really refreshing and nice way to end the savory dishes. Next we had the Idam Chocolate which was made of 7 chocolates served with a cocoa sorbet. Finally we had the Apple Tarte Tartin, delicate pastry topped with caramelized apples served with mango & passion fruit marmalade and crunchy brioche bites. Food: 9/10 Price: 8/10 Location: 10/10 The price was on the high side of 690QR for the 8 course menu, but with the huge amounts of caviar served per dish, it was well worth the price, especially for the lovely service and experience. It was my first time trying so many dishes with caviar and I enjoyed it!

Again, we had a fantastic lunch at Idam. The best restaurant in Doha, we believe it’s the best in Middle East. We were welcomed by Mr Mathieu, the restaurant manager, himself. He and his team offered highest hospitality throughout the whole menu. The food was extraordinary, Mr Ducasse can be very proud of Chef Fabrice Rosso and his team in the kitchen. It’s such a one of a kind experience to dine through a couple of hours, never rushed, never waiting for the next course. Just perfectly timed and deliciously prepared. We are looking forward to our next visit. And yes, we fully recommend this amazing restaurant- if you love fine dining in a very beautiful environment, idam is the place!

What a wonderful experience we had! I have to say this is the best restaurant I have tried in Doha. It's a bit pricey but the food and drinks you get in there are pure enjoyment. I will recommend you go for the 8-course menu. I am pretty sure that you won't regret it. Not to forget about the mesmerizing west-bay view 😍

My husband and I ate lunch here on 21 June 2023. We hadn’t booked ahead and are both vegetarian but the chef whipped up the most amazing courses - each was an artistic and gastronomical delight. The restaurant itself was empty which was very strange given the high quality of the food - but it might have been down to this being low season. The decor in the restaurant is spectacular and worth a visit just to look at. We were waited on by Sayed . His service, professionalism and friendliness were second to none. Thank you Idam for an amazing culinary treat at a reasonable price given the very high standard of the food.

The food is amazing but prices is very high. No words can describe the place & the design. You need to have reservation in advance. Security in main door will tell you museum is closed only, but they should say the restaurant is open as well.

We went there for lunch and had the most wonderful experience. We had a beautiful table inside with amazing views of the Doha skyline We were made feel very welcome. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the various flavours as well as very colorful presented dishes. Service was amazing and very accommodating We can highly recommend idam. Its a very special experience. one should absolutely visit and enjoy it for themselves.

Fascinating experience, amazing view, excellent food and impeccable service from Zayed. It's a hidden gem with an amazing view of west bay.

Excellent meal and service from the staff at the restaurant and starting with an interesting selection of mocktails to pair with each dish. It was great to be given access to the kitchen and meet with the very nice French Assistant Head Chef Leopold.

The service and atmosphere are elegant. However, i order 4 starters and 2 mains and nothing met my expectation, actually most of them were not tasty. Price is considered high for these type of dishes. On the other hand, the dessert on french cuisines are always amazing. I wont visit the place again.

This is hands down the best meal I’ve had in Qatar, the food was fresh, well plated and delicious. The service was wonderful, offering no fuss customisations for our vegan guest and explaining the intricacies of the meal. 5/5 will be back!

It was exceptional experience. A very very delicious food with excellent service. It was worth the money spent. I highly recommend it.

Server said the lunch will take 1.5 hrs, ended up taking three which is a lot if you want to do more things while in doha; food is not bad, but more for locals to experience france than for visitors to experience qatar

I had wanted this reservation for months so I sent an email. Imagine my excitement when someone emailed me a few weeks prior to my trip to Doha saying that they had availability for dinner, then a days before they changed it to availability only for lunch. Fine. Then the appointment was confirmed the DAY before I was supposed to go. Then I cut my trip to the National Museum short so that I can rush to the lunchtime reservation, specifically going hungry so that I could enjoy this food that I heard so much about! It wasn't until I was physically in the restaurant that they told me that the restaurant wasn't even open for us and they were only catering to a select number of people. Even after I showed them my emails (one of them written by the very woman that I was talking to!), I was turned away. I am extremely disappointed, and I wish you guys could have given me that information a little earlier over the many emails that were sent between us, and that you didn't ruin the one day I had in Doha!

Very delicious afternoon tea and the most beautiful view in the town

Went there for afternoon tea, first we were seated at a seat in the back with no cushions despite having a reservation! We were finally given a different table, the waiter had a bad attitude unfortunately. We were given an option of 1 dessert, 1 juice, and 1 tea or coffee per person. They did also serve some marshmallows, biscuits, and saffron filled little pastries. No sandwiches, no scones. I tried the “Qatar Flag” leychee juice it was not good. We also tried the “Sunrise” juice it tasted like straight up canned pineapples.. Desserts were okay. The view was spectacular, it was the reason I came. Got lots of pretty pictures of doha skyline during sunset. However I would not recommend the afternoon tea, and probably won’t be visting again. Total cost was 120 QR for the afternoon tea for 2 people.

A must visit for any foodie. If your budget doesn’t stretch to their excellent full menu, check out their afternoon tea in their terrace. It has one of the best views in the city and at QR120 for two people is great value
