Best place for veg food. I’ve been a regular visitor for many years. Their lunch South Indian thali is awesome. Mini tiffin for dinner is too good as well.

It's was very bad.. there were no sufficient people to attend the customers . The customer used to call the manager and repeatedly remind them it's past half an hour to serve the basic soup and appetizers. Food taste was very pathetic. Though it is not the first time I have visited but this time it was extremely bad . Filter coffee is special there and it was not available at 10.pm. any ways with so much disappointing experience still there was no compensation .

Good place for South Veg India food. Very nice space, quiet. Service prompt and friendly. Food was excellently prepared; wide vegetarian selection. Personally, I think the best in Doha. This is an authentic south Indian food restaurant. They do serve North Indian dishes but as the name suggests South Indian dishes are more preferable. Ambiance is casual but nice and clean since the renovation. The best deal is the lunch which includes a few Punjabi items to get your fix. Some of my favorite items including the South Indian mean, vada sambar, and dosa. Excellent location, Good service, very rarely the will ve Long wait but its a very popular spot for many Indians to eat. I found the food to be of very good quality. There was no need to wait for cutleries or replenishing of any item. The place is neat and clean. Badusha salad and other sweets were absolutely delicious. We would readily recommend this place. There’s always plenty to choose from, the food is fresh, the atmosphere is hip and the staff are friendly and attentive. I’ve been back many times and never disappointed. Friendly staff and good hospitality, prices actually good for the variety of food. This is by far the best vegetarians Indian food I have ever tried. Wonderful depth of flavors! Will definitely be back.

06 May 23 : Visited for lunch... tried E- Meals(13 QR), Mini meals(15 QR) and Full Meals(17 QR)... It was ok... not much veggies... 19 Jan : Yet another Nice dinner with family. All dishes were good. Ambience is good. Tried mini tiffin here after long time.. It was really satisfactory... Big size vada + Masadla dosa+ Pongal + 1 Idli + 3 chutneys + sambar + 1 coffee or tea of ur choice... Many south Indian people you can find here... Nice place for south Indian delicacies...

Poor service . They serve reheated tea and this is not the first time . I took a mini tiffin dosa was not cooked properly. Idly was little warm . Chutneys are good thankfully so could eat it . After telling them also they are not willing to serve well . Al khor one is really good . Must say .

Vasantha Bhavan was one of a good place for breakfast ...However, had terrible experience today with door delivery. Authentic south food taste missing. Too Spicy. I think the chef added the red chilly powder more to reduce salt taste. Items were not delivered properly. Checked with counter and they have said menu has been changed but I don't think so... They have focused only to make money and just want to deliver food with alternative items. Please be customer-focused and tell the truth if any change in menu or items are not available instead of making customer upset. Today experience made my mind not order or have any food in Vasantha Bhavan !!.

Food is good, but if you are planning to visit this place you should have patience. It may take an hour to get your food. As staff is less in number so service is also very slow. I wanted a tea and it takes 20 minutes only for tea.

I think this hotel is run by Yogi Adithiyanath supporter. (I hope you all understand what I mean). Intentionally, they treat certain set of customers badly because those are not welcomed again. Vasanta Bhavan restaurant at old salta, in Doha Qatar, is one of best place for family dinning, it ia pure veg restaurant.

Unreal place! I went for a quick takeaway and was short on time and they were very helpful and made sure it was done really quickly. It was super cheap too, really really recommend going again! Highly recommend and run by very professional entrepreneurs!

A bad experience rice was half cooked !! Service was slow too !! Another bad experience was the parking . This place used to offer valet parking due to limited parking in front of the restaurant however without informing they have stopped the service and forcing the customer to park on the road which directly leads to traffic fines. So anyone who is planning to go there to eat be prepared to pay QAR 500-1000 for parking as there is no place for parking . There are many good restaurants around which offer better food and parking facilities so why go to the place which has nothing to offer and indirectly forcing customers to pay for parking fines.

The food's good, however, the guy at the counter really needs a lesson in patient hearing and not messing up the order,always takes a full minute to answer calls, even at 07:00am in the morning and is too quick to hang up on you, barely gives you time to finish.

At first I thought “oh boy, this is vegetarian”…. But as we were there we decided to stay where we were blowen away by the tasty, spicy and very hot served dishes. The chili mushrooms and the spicy paneer combined with rice were delicious. The interior is simple, service is great, they speak English and the price is good. For 2 mains, 2 sodas, 2 bread we paid €20,- in total.

This is the first time I tried the restaurant, and I tried at ras bu abboud street next to McDonald's. As a meat lover and non India person, it's kinda hesitate to go because this is vegetarian food. I tried something that they suggested since I don't know what else to order, I asked them what is the most menu ordered by people. It is yummy, clean, and I love the spicyness, the fried things are crispy outside but so soft and delicate inside. With different kinds of sauces which is called chutney. And coconut grating inside, it's superb. The big roll of masala Dosa is so good. All are served hot straight from the stove/oven. I kept trying to find something wrong, but I couldn't. I found out that it is south Indian food. The service is also good, even the staff showed us how to easily make my tea warm enough to drink, then my husband did the same thing for my tea. I would love to try again with different menus. No meat, no problem . Will I recommend this place? Absolutely!

The quality of food has totally deteriorated at the Ras Abu Abboud branch. Ask them idli and they serve it with super spicy chutney and sambhar which has no other taste at all... It is just spicy. Have complained to the authorities a number of times, but sadly there's no improvement. Their lunch meals are also bad. Since last two times the dal vada served in their South Indian Thali tastes of raw chana dal as if the dal is used without giving any wash. The curries are spicy and they always serve the same aloo sabzi in South Indian lunch Thali.. the Aviyal was bad, Kozhumbu, Sambar, Rasam were spicy. Chapati was raw. The only saving grace was the dal and a sweet pongal. No wonder, even during peak lunch hours on a Friday the restaurant was empty. This is the first time that I'm writing a negative review for anyone.. but I felt that's needed now (had to forcefully give 1 star or else I wouldn't be able to write).
