Shanghai Club is located on the 43rd floor of the JW Marriott Marques Hotel. The view from the window offers a panoramic view of the west bay. Due to the pandemic, dinner is available for 2 hours with a set menu. Dishes are represented by a complete variety of Asian cuisine. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

One of the best Asian restaurants that I visited in Doha! Atmosphere, design, look from the windows, and especially service. When we just entered the restaurant, a very welcoming guy from Turkey (don't remember his name) greeted us and sat at one of the best tables with a fantastic view. I want to note a special person from the staff who served us and made our dinner more enjoyable, her name is Khai and she is from Myanmar. She really knows her job and you can feel that she cares about each guest in the restaurant. It's an amazing restaurant from any perspective, but if someone would ask me why I would come again, I would say that it's because of the service that they provide.

First time coming here and the location is really something! It's on the 43rd floor and since it's in the middle of the downtown area, it has amazing views of the buildings. I only tried their dinner menu but want to try their Friday Sunset brunch. We tried their shrimp, chicken and vegetable steamed dumplings and they were all delicious and moist. I also recommend the black pepper beef fillet, very flavorful and so soft! Also, the sweet and sour chicken was perfectly sweet and tangy and delicious.

Choose to have dinner and the place was well setup and restaurant with view at 43rd floor is great. The service was effective and fairly quick. The interiors were befitting the ambience which is great. The food menu with choice are decent. I personally found the fusion food lacks the authentic taste. Food presentation was fantastic but the food was a downer. The wonton potion doesn’t justify the taste and value. But the soup was good so as few of main courses. The jasmine tea if could had been prepared authentically. Overall a good experience and splendid view to dine with friends. Thanks.

A very well laid out resto bar & restaurant. The restaurant & bar lounge is separate yet on the same floor. The ambience is fantastic and for me it's easily the best place to be if you just want to have a drink and hangoutwith friends or have a casual buisness meeting. Super polite staff. Food is average plus , nothing to rave about though.

What a lovely evening, great service, every staff member so friendly and helpful, went there for a birthday, very romantic setting. Food is highest quality, great experience, great atmosphere. 2 small points to improve, AC was too cold, music should be more romantic, not dance and turned down a little.

Really a delightful experience. It's not essentially a Chinese restaurant. Top floor view is amazing. Dim sums are very tasty and presented in a unique shape and design. Service was a high standard. It is one of our favourite place for asian cuisines. We have been to this restaurant twice. First time it was more chinese cuisine. Today its more indonesian. The food were excellent. Taste very authentic indonesian. Starters include sushis as well. The set cost 120 qad and it was worth it. We took the 160 which includes 2 mocktails. desserts were also delicious. Special thanks to the head chef that came out to greet us later. The staffs were also helpful and friendly.

It’s very sad to say we had the most terrible experience. I honestly do no know where to start. 1. Service Timing was really poor. It took 45+ mins to bring in the food after the starters were eaten and cleaned up. The waiters had no knowledge of the food that was being served. When we asked a question they were merely just reading the menu. It was taking us a long time to get the waiters attention they were walking up and down and not even looking at their guests. 2. I have no words to honestly review the food We were in for Chef Lloyds dinner which was a set menu. Only two of the dishes were ok, by ok I mean edible not great. The rest were all returned. The fish was overcooked The fries rice was uncooked The rendang was horrible The prawns were unclean I hope this restaurant really makes some changes!!!!

Tbe restaurant reopened with new pan Asian concept away from its original concept of serving authentic Chinese food, The food was mixed of Thai, Chinese, Indonesian and Japanese, the food served were lacking seasoning and most dishes came tastless , papaya salad tasted nothing like papaya salad which something you would expect any chef cant go wrong with but unfortunately they did . Service were very slow and you can clearly see the kitchen struggling to get thr dishes out and get the order right . Waiters had no knowledge what dish they are serving and simple question as what in for dessert ? A waiter replied like that! Pointing to the table next to us . Steamed dimsum , peking duck were only dishes tasted good . Highly not recommended.

Shanghai Club is one of those places that provides an entirely different atmosphere depending on the day and the location you are seated at the restaurant. On normal week days the bar is a chill place with friends always with a DJ. The restaurant side always offers quality food and service. On the weekend most of the place is lively with great music from the resident DJ and excellent drinks. They even have offers for packages for brunch and evening packages. If you are going for dinner the duck salad and the puffs are a must try! The panaromic view allows you to see most of westbay and the gulf and is perfect for sunset time.

Beautiful views from the 43rd floor of JW Marriott tower. Service is attentive and dedicated, specially by Mr Neil who would remember preferences at months interval.

Club mit guter Aussicht. Es gibt zwei Teile (Club und Restaurant) ohne ausgeprägte räumliche Trennung. Club nur für Erwachsene. Sowohl für das Essen als auch einen Trink mit Blick auf Dohas Hochhäuser eine gute Wahl. Es war bei uns wenig los.

One of the only 3 places in Doha that serve xiaolongbao. It's a good city view from the high floor and the interior design is a statement. We tried the menu curated by Chef Lloyd. It started with amuse-bouche of seared scallop with a nice kick from pepper and green curry emulsion. The highlight of starters was the weeping tiger wagyu satay skewer, the accompanying spicy sauce was amazing. Love every main course dishes but the unexpectedly outstanding one is the brussel sprouts. They also have a great brunch on Friday.

This brunch experience with really good quality of sashimi and fresh oysters will not let you down in terms of quality and variety, no hesitation whatsoever to recommend this Koi brunch at JW Marriott Marquis over the Sora brunch at Park Hyatt.

It was a birthday occasion. The staffs were fantastic, made the night very special. They were the highlight 😍 The view was great. Range of selection for food, for all dietary types. They were very thoughtful in arranging a surprise for birthday .. 🎂🎉🎊

Didn't meet expectations, staff very friendly. Was expecting the view to be spectacular since it's on level , are thou. Beer happy hour was only on Budweiser for 30 riyals till 1h30 but beer was very warm. Broken bar chairs without leg rest. Service very slow waited 5 min for refill. Place can accommodate roughly 120 people to accommodate the dance floor but yet they kept allowing more people in having more standing without tables in an environment that doesn't allow standing.

One of my favoured haunts for Group outings. Went there 16 Jan 2020. They've changed the ambience. Music too loud. We were unable to converse. Never had this problem before. Dj was good though. We left for a quieter venue, The Den.😞

Had great experience and the food quality was great. Modern Chinese place best in town so far. Good for sharing. We started with Restorative seafood soup which was very tasty and great presentation. Followed by lovely Steamed Dim Sum plater. The Wok beef with black pepper is highly recommended. Rosted Peking duck was outstanding. Crunchy cod by oyster sauce was really crunchy from the outside. Asparagus with wild mushrooms topped by truffle sauce is a must. Will definitely go back. Stunning views of Doha skyline

Really lovely restaurant and stunning views of the city. Food was good quality and great for sharing with others. Took my husband here for some drinks and dim sum and it did not disappoint! The wine list is quite reasonable considering the cocktails look quite pricey, and the quality was good. It's a bit more expensive than other places, but definitely worth a visit!

Their sunset brunch is one of my favourites weekend culinary activities. Their champagne offering is definitely a highlight and, I would say, a must have! Typical modern Chinese food with delectable dim sum offerings and great seafood choices. I wouldn’t want to miss mentioning the crispy duck rolls which are lovely. The staff are very attentive and ensure you have a luxurious experience. They usually have a live band on Friday making it a lovely place to catch up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. Being less busy than other brunch spots definitely is a bonus if you are wanting to have a less hectic afternoon

I have been to Shanghai club a few times, but this time I have to recommend Irene. Her professionalism and detailed genuine service took my breath away.....It's not all the time you feel "genuine" connection especially when one is on the other end of the phone..... She gave us a warm welcome just as I had anticipated over the phone .... Further, went ahead and chose us the perfect table. I felt honoured really!!!!!! Thank you so much Irene,keep the good work!
