I
recently
dined
at
a
restaurant
located
in
the
Bin
Mahmood
area
of
Doha,
Qatar,
and
I'd
like
to
share
my
subjective
experience
based
on
comparisons
with
other
restaurants
I've
visited.
This
establishment
presents
itself
as
a
warm
and
welcoming
spot
with
affordable
prices.
Their
main
attraction
is
an
unlimited
Gujarati
thali,
promising
an
authentic
taste
of
traditional
Gujarati
cuisine.
The
service
at
the
restaurant
was
commendable,
with
the
staff
providing
helpful
explanations
about
the
dishes
on
offer.
The
food
was
served
promptly
and
undeniably
reflected
the
authentic
flavors
of
India.
While
some
might
appreciate
this
level
of
authenticity,
I
definitely
did
while
I
was
eating,
however
the
experience
may
not
be
enjoyed
as
much
by
a
western
palette,
for
me
it
felt
as
if
I
had
been
transported
to
a
local
eatery
in
India.
As
a
result,
it
left
me
slightly
concerned
about
potential
digestive
issues
that
I
may
experience
later.
In
my
opinion,
this
restaurant
seems
primarily
geared
towards
serving
the
local
working
Indian
population
rather
than
catering
to
tourists
or
visitors
or
restaurant
goers
in
general.
The
establishment
appeared
dated
and
in
need
of
an
update.
Though
the
attentive
service
was
a
plus,
the
staff
could
benefit
from
allowing
patrons
more
time
to
enjoy
their
meals
at
a
comfortable
pace
rather
than
constantly
trying
to
top
up
the
food–
though
this,
of
course,
is
a
matter
of
personal
preference.
The
overall
taste
of
the
food
was
enjoyable,
but
there
was
a
disappointment
with
one
of
the
dishes
I
ordered,
the
khandvi,
which
tasted
stale
and
unpleasant.
Moreover,
a
less-than-pleasant
incident
occurred
when
the
waiter
removed
our
condiment
(tray
containing
various
pickles,
and
sides)
tray
before
we
had
finished
eating
and
placed
it
directly
on
a
neighboring
table.
This
raised
further
concerns
about
the
restaurant's
hygiene
practices
and
the
handling
of
food.
Unfortunately,
my
suspicions
were
confirmed
when
a
few
hours
after
the
meal,
I
experienced
stomach
cramps
and
spent
the
rest
of
the
evening
feeling
unwell
and
making
frequent
visits
to
the
restroom.
This
was
quite
unsettling
and
confirmed
any
doubts
about
the
hygiene
standards
at
the
restaurant.
In
conclusion,
the
restaurant's
concept
is
promising,
but
it
desperately
requires
updates
and
improvements
in
its
protocols
and
presentation.
As
a
result
of
my
experience,
I
find
it
hard
to
recommend
this
restaurant
in
its
current
state.
After
spending
ten
days
in
Doha
and
visiting
several
establishments,
this
is
the
only
one
that
falls
below
my
expectations,
and
I
would
rate
it
less
than
three
stars.
