Next time when you visit the souq, try to spend time at this small restaurant and add more spices flavours to your trip.

Great food. So glad this option exists. Qatar has so many international cuisine offerings, but so few local cuisine options (probably because the locals just make local food at home). It’s kind of tricky to find, but it’s basically behind the police station.

excellent! You can not leave Doha without trying Qatarian traditional dishes. The owner is a lady who cook with her daughter. There are home made foods which are served in a small cosy restaurant in old city center. oh là là ! the foods are deliiiiiiicious. There is a lady who help and does not speak English, But the owners does. Ask them which dishes are the most special. Don't forget to eat "Mazrubeh" here. By the way, the dishes are served gorgeously and price is Good. we were 2 nights here from our 3 nights. If I go again in Qatar, I just eat in this restaurant !

LOVED this place. Away from the crowds so it was quiet and very delicious. Authentic cuisine. The two ladies working there were very nice and sweet. I am so glad I found this place during my short visit to Qatar.

If you are looking for traditional food from qatar this is the place to try it.. It was a little hard to find but if you are in the main street by the golden thumb look for the signs on the wall and follow it.. The food was delicious, esp the Madrubba..It is owned and operated by my women which is just an added bonus.. It was quite place and I cant figure out why it's not packed.. I fugure it will be soon enough as the word gets out..

Highly recommended! You get traditional Qatari food for a fair price and the portions are extremely large. It's a bit winding in the alleys, but it's really a great insider tip for Doha.

I'd like to thank Marian for a truly great and warm experience at The Al Jasra restaurant during my holiday in Doha. I'd been in search of traditional Qatari cuisine, whem i came across Al Jasra's webpage. Snugly set away inside rhe famous Souq Waqif, the food was as great as i hoped it would be. Additionally i was made to feel very welcome, and hospitality paired with great food, make for a truly great combination. So, if you're in Doha looking for that memorable experience, may i encourage you to visit AlJasra's. If you are tired of usual western food and would like a real tradition one then this is one of the best restaurants to visit. The people works here are professional and gives you the feeling like you are eating ar home I love the food and the resturant
