This is one of the biggest private museum in Qatar. This is located almost 25 Km outside the city. Pros - Can see various antique pieces which collected from across the world (mostly Asian and African countries) - For car lovers they have very good vintage car collection. - Arrangement of items is good - You can take photographs Cons - They have lots of items which are just displayed, but there is no any information and descriptions about that. - Mostly all the items from 18-19th century. Very few are ancient times items available for see. - And as it's private museum it has entry fee.

What a diverse collection. Across 50 years, Sheikh Faisal amassed an enormous collection of artifacts and memorabilia. While it does take some driving to get to, this museum is a must see as it is also housed within a preserved fortress. From Samurai armour to classic cars, every room has something to explore.

With over 30,000 objects spanning over a hundred years and ranging in size, FBQ Museum represents a modern version of a Cabinet of Curiosities. Worth to visit. You will be asked for a QID or passport at the main gate. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance for 50 riyals for adults. After your tour you can relax at the coffee shop.

Once inside it is full of local information and Qatar history. Beautifully displayed and layout. On arrival you are greeted with Arabic tea and friendly staff. The price is very reasonable and only 30QAR if you are a teacher! Children under 12 are free. We didn't use the guide but was a tour for children and they were guided around the museum with a fun map/treasure hunt. There is so much to explore and take in that I feel the need to visit again -it's too much for one trip. I particularly enjoyed the display of classic cars.

The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is a privately owned museum located in the municipality of Al-Shahaniya in Qatar, 20km westward of the capital. Sheikh Faisal's enthusiasm for collecting initially elements of cultural heritage and ultimately share them with the public as his rapidly growing collection soon became too large to be housed in a private setting. All of the artifacts in the museum were collected by Sheikh Faisal over a span of 50 years. There are 15 halls in the museum with a total of over 15,000 artifacts grouped into four main categories: Islamic art, vehicles, coins and currency, and traditional Qatari artifacts. Impressive collection, I truly recommend ...

This is one of the great museum that I ever visited in Qatar. Located outside of Doha or around 20 minutes from Education City, we can explore many kind of collection from Islamic Arts such as textile, jewelry. Moreover, we can see the weapon from Century to Century from Middle East and Asia. The most interesting as well is the car collection from year to year. In one of room section, we can see the Dinosaurus's head and bones. The entrance fee for this museum is 50 QR. Happy explore.

An amazing museum where you can clearly see the passion of reflecting upon the past and showcasing significant times of our history. The collections are amazing and cover swords, clay work, furnitures, clothings, Islamic arts, Holy Quran room, Qatari house, antique cars, Pearl diving ships, medicine room and much more. The museum is serene and rich in history. It truly reflects what they say as a journey through time and place. The place is undergoing expansion and definitely worth a visit for history lovers.

Entrance fees Qr 50 is there for adult. Nicely arranged everything. There are lots of historic stuffs came from different parts of world and Qatar as well. Located outside the city in a traditional style fort at Al Samriya Farm, the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum houses the Sheikh’s personal collection, with a body of works including Islamic art, Qatari heritage, vehicles, handmade carpets, and coins & currency, from over four continents. These diverse and eclectic objects tell the story of the museum’s founder, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim, as well as of humanity in general.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Sheikh Faisal Museum in Qatar, and I must say it was an outstanding cultural experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the museum, I was captivated by its grandeur and the wealth of knowledge it held. The museum's collection is simply remarkable. Sheikh Faisal Museum houses an extensive array of artifacts, spanning various eras and cultures, showcasing the rich heritage of Qatar and the wider region. The meticulous curation and attention to detail were evident in every display, allowing visitors to delve into the past and gain a deeper understanding of history. What truly sets this museum apart is the passion and expertise of the staff. The knowledgeable guides were readily available to answer questions and provide fascinating insights into the exhibits. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it further enriched the overall experience. The museum itself is a masterpiece of architecture. The elegant design seamlessly blends tradition with modernity, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere for visitors. The spacious galleries and thoughtful layout ensure a comfortable and engaging journey through the exhibits. Furthermore, the museum's facilities were top-notch. The amenities, including clean restrooms and convenient parking, contributed to a hassle-free visit. The souvenir shop offered a delightful selection of unique gifts and mementos, allowing visitors to take a piece of this extraordinary experience home with them. I would highly recommend a visit to the Sheikh Faisal Museum to anyone seeking a profound cultural encounter. Whether you are a history enthusiast, an art lover, or simply curious about Qatar's heritage, this museum is an absolute gem. It's a testament to the country's commitment to preserving its cultural legacy and sharing it with the world. I extend my sincere appreciation to the management and staff of Sheikh Faisal Museum for providing such an exceptional museum experience. My visit was truly memorable, and I look forward to returning in the future to explore more of the museum's treasures.

This is more of a private museum of the Rulers of Qatar (Emirs) …this was built in the year 1998…lot of effort to maintain each and every item is clearly visible …Islamic tradition, vintage cars ,boats , clothes from various areas of Islamic heritage, swords and weapons used by the royal family and gifts received are all kept in this museum…ticket prices are a bit on the higher side but for a history it’s worth a visit

Wonderful trip down Memory Lane; the museum showcases some beautiful objects from not too long ago: the perfect place to get nostalgic and at the same time to teach our children and help them understand what life was like when our generation was young. Even though it is a bit disorganised I would say compared to what you’d expect from a regular museum, it is so beautiful to see all it had to offer. The museum was built around a real well they said about 75 years old and my son had a blast learning about how we used to get drinking water. The building itself is lovely and there is a little caffe at the end; in the winter you can sit outside next to a small lake with the partly sunken ship (my son loved this). On the drive to the museum building we saw peacocks roaming the grounds and even crossing the road so please do drive slowly and carefully there. When we visited the main cars showroom was under renovation but we still had an amazing time. My son can’t wait to go back there. The entrance fee is 50 qrs and we were very very warmly welcomed at the reception by nice people who explained to us a few things about the museum as well as served us with the tastiest traditional Arabic coffee and dates.

A great collection of all of the bits and bobs that a man of such standing accumulated over the years. From ancient arrowheads to an aeroplane and everything in between. A good couple of hours spent outside the centre of Doha city. Easy to use Metro to the end of the line at Al Riffa (by Mall of Qatar) then Uber final part. (Though remote you can get a taxi for the return back to the Metro!) Only negative is that museum is currently being reorganised so many of the cars that form part of the collection are not currently on display.

The museum was massive, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. It took me a good two hours to explore its diverse exhibits, which included sections on cultural history, animal leather, religious history, an impressive guns collection, vintage cars, and even a helicopter. The range of displays was fascinating, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in a wide variety of subjects. Tickets cost I think is QAR 50

If you haven't visited this place yet, you are missing a lot. This museum is like a travel in time , you will be able to see more than 30 000 items from weaponry to carpets, clothes, vases, households, cars, planes, boats and many other. And all of these items are the personal collection of cheikh Faisal himself. The place is also good for kids they can get a map and do some sort of treasure hunt. There is a coffee shop, but when I went it wasn't serving any food, only beverages. Pictures are allowed inside.

  • 5/5 Tarubva N. 8 months ago on Google
The collection is pretty eclectic and shows an appreciation of many cultures. I especially liked the Syrian House and the story behind that. I also got lost in the fossil collection. I don't remember that being there last time I went, pre- Covid. Also, the added car collection is really cool. I wanted to see the Oryx on the farm, but I came in the afternoon, and this is too hot for them to be outside.

You need to there as early as it opens so you can have a full tour and be able to enjoy every part of it. The staff are very friendly in general. The lady on the reception and the man offering coffee were very hospitable and the Egyptian guy who walks around and tells people stories about the items was also very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my day there.

Only one word can be used to describe this museum: vast! There is literally so much in this collection that you need more than one whole day to be able to see everything and take it all in. There is everything from rifles, knives, carpets, cars, old telephones, sporting memorabilia, furniture, musical instruments, the list goes on and on. The space in which they are all displayed is massive, it goes on and on! The only downside is, that quite a few of the exhibits have no English translation as to what they are so I was left wondering what some of these items were actually for.

Kind of a drive to get out here from doha, but worth the trip because it has a huge collection of interesting things. The location looks like its under construction but its the only building that looks somewhat completed construction wise. Inside you'll see lots of pottery, bowls, dishes, boats, cars, planes... so much to see. Also, the coolest part is they have a replica Syrian home that they disassembled and brought over. Definitely worth checking out!
