I stayed for one nigh, as a weekend break, with the family and unfortunately i had more bad experiences than good. 1. Check in. Had a reservation through my employer. The staff insisted to give my work badge as proof that i work for them, even when she was holding my QID in her hand and just didn't want to aknowledge what is written on it. I asked if i really need to go back to the city for my work badge and she said yes...... i mean.... Apparently she was happy i provided my insurance where the employer was written.... the QID wasn't enough. Very poor experience. 2. We were told, due to company discount we have 20% off on all consumation in hotel. At check out turned out was a misslead. The discout was applied only to food. Very poor experience. 3. We were at the kids pool and at about 6PM, at dusk, alot of small flies made an appearance and my child was bitten multiple times. We told them they should use some pesticides and if they have anything for the bites, about 8-9 of them. "Head of Security" came to the room, checked the bites, said they don't have anything for them and we should head to the farmacy for a check and buy. THIS was the biggest "FU it is not our problem your kid got problems on our premises". Absolutely shameful. 4. We ordered some drinks in the room. Following up after 30mins of no show.... they didn't registered the order.... They apologiazed and brough some complementary sweets. 5. We ordered a 7.15AM in the morning drinking water. At 9.50AM, yes after 2hours and 30 mins, someone called to apologiase they forgot and brought it... very poor experience. If this is "posh" or a 5 star hotel behaviour....We will never set foot on it, that's for sure. I had to eat some wasabi home just to get rid of the bad taste this experience left.

Here's my experience from the hotel stay: Facilities are excellent, spotless cleanliness and spacious. The staff that are eager to interact with you and are ready to go out of their way to assist you with anything you need. You will find the general manager (Carlo) present at almost all the different times we visited the common and lobby areas. The Spa experience was great, with massive facilities to use. STK venue was also lovely where the restaurant manager (Issa) and his team were there to introduce his menu and entertain us. Definitely a Gem hotel in Doha

The hotel is classified as one of the most luxurious hotels in the State of Qatar. The service is very excellent, the place is clean and close to most tourist attractions in Qatar. I would also like to thank Mr. Musa, the receptionist, for his hospitality and respectful manner.

I have never experienced a level of service or customer service as this hotel. Best rooms, services, and all out experience. Highly recommend! Make sure you get the lounge access as well, the staff are amazing and in tune with the customer and the chefs are world class.

The hotel was clean, friendly staff. Was able to check early and was brought up to the lounge (which was really nice). The business lounge food was not bad, some days the food was excellent and other days it was okay. The fresh fruit was always fresh. The staff at the lounge were very pleasant. We enjoyed our 6 day stay immensely. One thing the pool was very crowded on Friday.

Alex at the spa reception makes the entire experience so stressful. He is rude and stands out among the rest of the staff as lacking customer care training. The rest of the women staff there are lovely but unfortunately he is their manager. There are some good therapists but the overall experience isn’t particularly luxurious. $320 for a massage? Yikes. The pool and spa facilities are dated. The rooms are okay. Way overpriced for what you get. Executive lounge is insanely priced. Noteworthy too: This hotel does not honor some benefits marriot rewards members get at other Ritz Carlton hotels.

We stayed at the Ritz in Doha for one night. We've previously stayed at Ritz properties around the world and this one is easily among the best! The service was very genuine and warm. We were a little lost when we were trying to explore the hotel after checking in. An employee noticed (I forgot his name, but he was from Iran) and took us on a 20-25 min guided tour of the property where he acquainted us with everything on offer. Another example is when I was having trouble deciding between getting 20% off the spa vs free afternoon tea as part of my Bonvoy Gold benefit, and the check-in agent gave us both! Rooms: very spacious, well-appointed, excellent views, comfortable bed+pillow menu, etc. One small gripe was that the body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash wasn't Asprey (which we've come to expect when staying at the Ritz), but some of the other items were. The replacement product wasn't as good, IMO. Food: The breakfast buffet was among the best we've had anywhere in the world. Excellent options across all major cuisines. Everything was high quality. I'm still thinking about the omelette! Gym and spa: the property has two pools (indoor and outdoor). The outdoor pool was huge and had a swim-up bar. I felt like I was in Cancun. The gym had very new equipment -- and the range was the best I've seen anywhere. They even had machines for stretching. The Ritz is going to be our go-to place for future layovers in Doha. Again, highly recommend, and the price can't be beat (barely $250 per night when we visited!)

Just wanted to review probably my favourite hotel in Doha. Absolutely love the pool area the staff always go out of their way to treat every guest like royalty! Nothing is to much trouble. I would say the ritz and the service one receives is a credit to the management team. The food is excellent always cooked to perfection. Habanos is a fabulous bar feels like an exclusive members club. All guests are treated like VIP’s Definitely a hotel to look at booking if you are travelling to Doha 😊

We did a short stay, but it was wonderful. We were in town for the Van Pimpenstein concert, which also was fantastic. The hotel staff were kind, responsive and very knowledgeable. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious. There were tons of options. They accommodated us with a late checkout, which we very much appreciated. The gym was great. The pools were big and clean. I would definitely recommend the Ritz-Carlton and I hope to stay there again.

The rooms and food are average. The prices are too high compared to the deals you get at similarly rated hotels and for what you get it’s just not worth it. Various facilities have issues like the pool area is half under construction- not sure how the hotel thinks it’s okay to charge for facilities that are not ready for guests to enjoy. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s a very male dominated environment and not particularly inviting for families or women looking for some privacy. There are a lot of staff that interact with you every few steps and it can be a bit much to pass and engage 6 staff members within 5 minutes of walking in the door to the elevator. You can’t motion towards anything without a staff member involving themselves. It’s a lot. Management needs to rethink this too. The lobby can sometimes smell like cigars because the cigar lounge is the main attraction on that particular floor. Also the coffee to order is pretty bad. It usually tastes burnt, super bitter, or watery. The grand Hyatt next door has very nice coffee and a dessert bar in the lobby. Same prices for food. Room rates are much less. 3 pools instead of just one as the Ritz has. Indoor jacuzzis there too. And a more developed looking beach area (also on the lagoon). Worth checking out to compare.

An incredible hotel with a glorious view of the water front. The rooms are very well appointed, the food is delectable and the service is top notch. The amenities in the rooms are also outstanding. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

The food is the best I've ever tasted. With the projection on to plate of a six inch chef preparing your meal. What an experience! The staff finishing the experience to make a great time.

We were looked after very well by the staff reception who were friendly and professional. Nice hotel to be spending time. The pool staff were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast was dissapointing, needs improving. The staff and food felt tired. For a 5 star hotel I expected someone would take my hot drinks order, nobody explained how the breakfast buffet works either. I ordered a latte and my husband a cappuccino, they were both the same in size and taste, I asked for a weak one. Then for the tea I had to go twice and ask for it, it came in a mug not a tea pot I would expect from a 5 star hotel with hot milk instead. While the pastries were mediocre. More training for the details it's need it. Plenty of staff around but not very effective.

High-end Luxury with Room for Improvement - The Ritz-Carlton, Doha Editor’s Note: This review has been updated to reflect recent changes made by The Ritz-Carlton, Doha in response to our initial observations. Sections of the review marked with “Update” contain new information. Update: It’s a rare and delightful occurrence when an establishment not only takes feedback to heart, but acts upon it immediately. True to its amazing service, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has swiftly addressed our observations, taking our guest experience to a whole new level. There's no doubt that The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is among the crests of luxury worldwide, let alone in Qatar. A place my family and I call our home away from home. From our very first visit almost a decade ago, it's the sense of familiarity and warmth that beckons us back, time and again. As repeat guests, we've found our preferred suites, an extension of our comfort zones. The unbroken tradition of impeccable service is admirable. The recent addition of children's activities was a delightful surprise, one we immediately ushered our children into and which adds to the hotel's familial appeal. The grandeur of the lobby, the beautiful view from the poolside, the 24/7 gym and the rejuvenating spa experience - all retain the charm that first won us over. What truly sets The Ritz-Carlton, Doha apart, however, is the mesmerizing view. In my opinion, it's the best in the country. The culinary offerings - be it the gourmet restaurants or the comfort of in-room dining - never disappoint, creating staycation experiences that rival any outdoor adventure. And as someone who doesn’t mind staying indoors, The Ritz has been close to perfect for me. Yet, it's with a certain endearment that I write down some persistent wrinkles that I hope will be ironed out. After all, no love is without the desire to see the beloved reach their absolute best. Update: We had shared some suggestions for enhancements. True to their commitment to guest satisfaction, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha took these observations to heart. They have even replaced the television sets with stat of the art smart TV’s. Something I did not expect them to address immediately yet it is on brand with their commitment to impeccable service towards their guests. Bravo! Update: Due to the swift and considerate response of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha to our shared experiences, it only seems fair to revise our rating to a well-deserved 5/5 stars. It’s clear that The Ritz-Carlton, Doha places immense value on guest feedback and continually strives for perfection. We couldn’t ask for more from our home away from home. As I write this midway through a two-week stay, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the memories we've created here and the promise of many more.

The hotel and rooms are beautiful. I missed a connecting flight and stayed in a Deluxe King Room. They gave me a room with a beautiful city view. The hospitality and service were awesome! I'd stay again. This hotel was further away from the airport and city, if that matters to you.

I had a wonderful experience here. I stayed for a month, and through that entire time I was taken care of very well. One of the notable staff was Bunyod Mamajonov. He was always great to talk to at the executive lounge, he was always very helpful as well. I hope to come back in the future.

5 stars expectations from a Ritz Carlton brand as expected! Greeted and welcomed from the very first step. Expect nothing less than quality and services delivered in a tailored manner.

Perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are truly incredible. Jeet and the team at Lagoon anticipated our every need at breakfast. The pool is relaxing and has many little coves to float in—plus, the shaded areas are abundant. The Lounge is a great option too. The Ritz in Doha is definitely the tip-top of luxury.

The service is very bad a lot of waiting time with reception. The North African ladies working in the hotel seem to all gather in the ladies spa area for a chat. Females at the main entrance over friendly with our local men. Passed my 2 female friends and not even a word to them. All is visible from the lobby chair area. Not your normal Ritz.

Everything was pretty good until midnight, I couldn’t sleep from the noise! I’m staying at the 21st floor, yet I can hear people shouting, screaming, singing, laughing and the sound of music was SO loud. I couldn’t sleep at all that night. Nor my 8 month old daughter had slept. Very unpleasant experience, I came to relax, turns out the Ritz Carlton is not a place where you can relax at.

Our stay was perfect until the end, when the front desk called and came to kick us out of our room 2 hours before we were scheduled to check out. Their unprofessional lack of communication put a bad taste in our mouth as we rushed to pack and felt unwelcome. The staff was not accommodating despite having confirmed late check out the day before and receiving confirmation in writing. After forcing us out of the room, they did not make any attempt to make up for their mistake and poor hospitality. We expect better from this brand.

I am a Ritz-Carlton resident and have stayed at Ritz-Carltons in 5 states an 4 countries and this is the BEST of all of them. The service was perfect. They truly wanted to make you feel special and have all of your needs met. Starting at reception, they truly cared about us and made sure we had everything we needed. As an example when they learned we were leaving before breakfast they had a special made to order breakfast box created for us and ready at 04:00 am. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and soft bed linens. Wonderful bathroom with shower and tub. The towels were very nice, but for the "best R-C" they could have been softer and fluffier. Check-out was seamless and we were sad our stay was so short.

We had a 5 night stay and a genuine 5 star experience. Nothing here that we can fault. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. Thank you guys!

This is a lovely hotel, in terms of surroundings but my stay was let down with the level of service I experienced. I have stayed in this chain before and other 5 star chains, and the level of service was far better elsewhere. Our room was set up for 1, even though there were two of us. When we asked for an additional balcony chair, it never arrived. We were asked by customer service about our experience and provided feeback, which she said she would sort out... that never happened... There are more examples of how they just feel like they had dropped the ball on the high-quality service you usually experience within a Ritz-Carlton hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a stay, you can get a much better experience in other 5 star hotels in Doha. The service in the restaurants was exceptional and isn't related to the above..

  • 5/5 Deborah L. 4 months ago on Google
Where do I start. This hotel is everything 5star hotel should be. I give it the ratings of 1000/10. Let me start with the staff, people who are paid to do their job however go above and beyond every single time and can see it’s a joy for them to be at work. The staff literally give so effortlessly. From the doormen, security, to concierge to reception, to customer relations team, to housekeeping team literally every single individual truly understand what customer service is and I am so happy and grateful to have received such an amazing service from this hotel. The team have made my stay a memorable one. Bax, Prosper, Zeina, Ebou, Abdelhamid, Ali, Ilham these are just a few names that I remember, they have all be exceptional. The Ritz Carlton Doha is truly a 5 star hotel that has no fault unless if you are someone that looks for faults in everything. The room I stayed in room 609 was the perfect size, nice and big, my room was cleaned twice a day with nice little treats left every time. Everyone at reception will alway greet you with a smile and always happy to help. The breakfast is another perfection of variety of food ranging from Indian breakfast to the everyday continental breakfast. What I loved about breakfast the most was how you could order your preference that was not readily available. I told the staff that it was my birthday and they did not let me forget it, they made every effort possible to make it special for me, from the singing, to the flowers and cake’s delivered to my room. They really made it a memorable time. The location is also perfect as you could get to all the hotspots in a Uber ride which is nice and cheap. The pool and beach, ok it’s not the beach you are used to but its a nice one for relaxing and catching a nice tan. The facilities offered is also perfect. If you want a nice chilled, relaxed filled with luxury type of holiday and want to feel welcome and appreciated then Ritz Carlton is for you. I could go on and on and on. Anyone that left a bad review is someone that cannot be pleased no matter where they go. I guess we all have different experiences however my experience of this hotel was the best ever and I surely will be back to Ritz Carlton whenever I’m back in Doha.

Excellent business lunch at the STK Steakhouse. Great food, great service, and breathtaking views. The salad with pear, candied walnuts, and blue cheese is a show stopper! Of course the steak delicious and my colleague had a lovely grilled fish entree.

Room are a little dated but the service is world class. There are 2 pools (in and outdoors), a small bird sanctuary, gym spa, children corner... what you would expect from a 5star. Worthy of a mention would be our request for early breakfast due to our unscheduled first flight change. They moved the bfast to our room before 6am! I am impressed.

  • 4/5 Teta K. 2 months ago on Google New
Very nice place , with nice service and good atmosphere. But, their food doesn’t match their prices, and they have a small food menu, and they serve very little food for high prices, and their restaurant service isn’t that good. They should work on this, otherwise they are the best.

The Ritz Carlton, Doha is located on its own island in the West Bay area of Doha. We really enjoyed our stay and were treated very well by staff throughout the hotel, with the small exception of a hiccup in service when I ordering room service. The staff at the lobby lounge and beach were particularly charming. The hotel has everything thing you could possibly need including its very own private beach. We enjoyed three meals at the hotel, and all of them were good to outstanding.

Had a fairly decent experience at this location. Service: 5/5 - from the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly. Over the course of our stay, several staff went out of their way to ensure a special stay! Special shoutout to (aplogies if names are spelt wrong): Prosper, Nassira, Alam, Salah, and Kashaka. Rooms: 3/5 - rooms are not as big as expected. The carpet seemed old and old, the curtains were not pleasing, and the balcony was smaller than expected as well. Location: 3/5 - the resort itself is beautiful! With a beach, lovely animal section, gardens, pools, etc. everything is stunning! However, it is far away from everything making things like shopping, exploring, and food difficult. Regarding I'd recommend booking the package with food included. Food: 5/5 - the staff is all wonderful in the dining areas. Salah greeted us with salaam in the dining area which we found to be kind and warm gesture! The buffet has lots of options and is set up beautifully. Overall, it was a pleasent stay, but we did expect more!

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Doha in September of 2023. It was the best experience of my life. Also, at the lounge on the 23rd floor, Ms. Molka Rahali provided great service with a smile. No matter what time of the day, she was always taking care of customers. Ms. Molka shows what great customer satisfaction should look like. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the outstanding services it provides.

I came here with my fiancé to spend a chill time at this property. What I could say, the whole team and property exceeded our expectations way beyond. The room was extremely cleaned. The staff were smiling and helpful. The hotel facilities are the best in class. Gym, the steam room, and the spa were amazing! Personal thanks to Mr Anan, Mousa, Ali, and the breakfast room staff, especially the people handling the outdoor tables. It is a ritz-carlton standard and thats what’s a hospitality should be.

Love the stay there. The guys working in the pool bar are incredibly nice. I requested for food when all restaurants still closed but still they managed to prepare it. The pool is clean and cold (finally). For kids the pool is very secure and the safety staff are very professional and polite with kids. Very recommanded.

Was here in 2004-2005, beautiful decor, many nooks to sit & converse, or read a book. Bathrooms incredible. I loved this hotel, except, a group of men were in my room, while I was out on balcony sunbathing. I had a DO NOT DISTURB/Do NOT make-up room, sign on door. My husband came back to our room & found about 10+ men "cleaning" the room!!! How they knew I was out there, I'll never know, because, at that time, there wasn't much built around there, & I was on an upper floor. Staff was Very friendly 😂🙃😉& accommodating. They will bend over backwards to accommodate your needs/desires. ***Foreigners beware: YOUR PHONES & SOMETIMES even YOUR HOTEL ROOMS, ARE FOR A FACT, "TAPPED", -IN OTHER COUNTRIES, YOUR ATM/BANK TRANSACTIONS ARE MONITORED, and, sometimes, depending on the host countrys' interest in you, you can be followed by their secret police. That being said, great pools, restaurants & gorgeous views. Bfast buffets incredible back then.

All reception staff also so kind and helpful. All people who work in the hotel always smile to you and you feel that you are welcome in this hotel! We are glad to know that now you opened beach, will check it early morning before check out! How wonderful if you care about children! We find out in our room kids tent, sweets for them, story book, ritz kids are the best 😉 This what my son actually said ) Spa treatments are amazing! Thanks to miss Trisma for nice and professional hot stone massage, best experience EVER. House keeping and room service very fast and responsible, it is really important for us as a guests to don’t wait for our orders many hours) Food is high quality and delicious 👏 So really guys, thank you for this experience! We never try RITZ before and I don’t know why😱 But after we came here this weekend we will get use to come here as often as we can!

I absolutely loved this place. Let me start with the super friendly staff. There are no exceptions. Everyone was very welcoming, smiling and helpful. The rooms are luxury at its finest. Very modern interior. Super quiet and clean. The balcony view is stunning. The pool is amazing especially for kids. The beach access has a chilling atmosphere with chair beds, swings and a volleyball net. Again very friendly staff. I would just wish more "children friendly" restorants. I recommend this place to anyone, either family or couples.

As it was my wife's birthday we choose Ritz Carlton as we haven't been to the hotel, so wanted to experience the food, ambiance and the service so we decided on booking your hotel for a day. On booking we informed the hotel that it was a special occasion my wife's birthday hence we were coming there, our checkin was fast and has to wait for our room as we were early, our room was great with a small terrace and a good view, the hotel pool as nice with a temperature controlled cold and hot pool. The highlight of our trip was the pool attendant Ms Ann from Nairobi as she got to know it was my wife's birthday she immediately told me to wait at the pool area and after few minutes she brought us a cake with candles and sang happy birthday to my Wife Mallika. It really was a small but meaningful thing that we will remember and make us book your hotel once again.

Thank you for making it a lovley afternoon. The food was very good quality, and well explained. They even catered separately for veagn and children's needs (also good quality) Fantastic place to hold an event. Would recommend it!

Stayed there for a night to attend a wedding celebration. Although the hotel was busy , the staff were very helpful and attentive. We had a special discount rate for the room as we were attending a celebration there which was great. Ordered room service which was very tasty. The breakfast was good not great. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

I spent a wonderful birthday weekend at Ritz Carlton! I must say I am very impressed with the genuine hospitality of all the employees ! They went beyond my expectations and it’s really the case to say that in hospitality the real difference is done by the people ! Everyone was smiling, efficient, supportive, friendly, professional and did the extra mile (which nowadays is not so common in Doha). Well done to everyone !! Definitely recommend everyone to go to stay at Ritz and thank you so much to the RC team !

The food is not good at all and expensive for bad quality food?? I don’t understand.. the rooms were good, the tv channel numbers doesn’t match with the TV guide in the room!!! There’s no kid’s activity or private area for different times during the day except swimming pool? You need to upgrade your services if want people to pay for them start with disgusting food.. the good food you have is hummus only… 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

I have had a perfect two nights here. Great rooms, great staff. Did not like the swimming pool though. The Club lounge I can highly recommend, staff is even better here, diamonds all of them. Club lounge breakfast is -much- better than the one downstairs.

If I can give it below zero I would, their customer service is the worst also when you call for room assistance they never show up. Had to wait 1 hour for them to take my luggage. You can hear the people talking next to your room, no noise proof.

We were in lagoon for Eid Dinner.. It was bad experience Food variety very limited.. Food not delicious and spicy.. No any thing suitable for children..just pasta corner.. Service was very good.. But overall we were not satisfied.. We pay 185 person..but the actual price must be 50!!!!

The best hotel experience I have ever had. Location was perfect and the staff went above and beyond for our anniversary celebration. Special thanks to the club lounge Gracy, Carla, Stefany, Janine and Peri for the memorable experience!

One of my best staying experience. Staff are very helpful especially Ahlam, Motasehem. I would say that their performance is outstanding. Most of them are credits for the hotel and they adding value to it. I would definitely come back again.

Tower building in a great location. Perfect for business / corporate / congress / diplomatic type of stays. All accommodations have been extensively renovated, however, suites are most impressive

We had such an amazing experience at the Ritz from start to finish. Nothing felt like too much trouble and all the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Mary, Marwa, Hamid and Ali were great and made us feel like VIPs. The actual room was excellent and the staff decorated it beautifully for our anniversary. We had such a nice balcony view of the beach. Housekeeping were so attentive, for example if they noted we liked a certain nespresso capsule more they would refill this one with more frequency. If they noted we used all our 10 water bottles the next day there would be 11 or 12 left for us. They also left cute towel animals for us when we came back. The facilities, lounge and pool were amazing and nice places to relax and chill. Staff were always attentive in getting us towels and ice water if needed and always helped us order taxis. The staff always remembered us and gave us a personal touch. A truly amazing hotel which we miss sorely. When I come back to Qatar we will stay here again for sure.

I come several times a year to Doha, each time I try new hotels but this one conquered my heart. Everything was beautiful. The staff was very caring. I will definitely come back to the Ritz Carlton.

One of my favorite hotels in Doha! I always recommend it to all my friends co-workers visiting Doha. It’s farther into the city, which makes it more quiet and private. It’s not too far from everything and the calmness is worth the distance. Their pool and beach are incredible as well, I go every Saturday.

I’ve stayed in a few 5 star hotels and this by far is one of my top. The hotel itself was amazing and clean and the staff were really friendly it’s located pretty conveniently and is one of few hotels with access to the beach. We were kindly upgraded to a sea view room which had phenomenal views. Will definitely be staying here again when in Doha.
