We really liked the hotel. Close to the old city. Nice rooms and the whole architecture is like a village. Relaxed atmosphere 😎 but we excepted a little bit more of the Ritz Carlton experience. It was just all very good, breakfast a little poor - but not the super wow 🤩 you might expect. Very fair pricing for the rooms. So over all: very good fine stay 💖

Beautiful inside and out. Spent a few days at the start of our vacation. The service and staff are very accommodating. Flowers and beauty everywhere you look. The scents abound with hookah, lillies and spices. Their perfume/cologne shop is a must visit (and buy). Big shout out to the Concierge who assisted us in scheduling an appointment at the Turkish Hospital (ended up seeing an Orthopedic Surgeon, obtaining an MRI and X-ray all on the same day). Great location, close to the airport, and yet quiet and relaxing. Rooms are very large and well appointed.

Sharq Village is one of the nicest getaway place in Qatar. Despite being located in the center of the busy capital Doha, its "Madinat" type architecture, patios and fountains will make you feel like you are outside the city (this is even more true since the relocation of the airport). The pools are stunning with a lot of shaded seating spots, not forgetting the in-pool bar and direct access to the sandy beach. The overall hotel and rooms are very clean and comfy. However what truly make the difference is the quality of the service, qualified and friendly personnel. For the Spa lovers, it is a bit on the pricey side but while staying there you get 20% discount plus free access to the hammam and sauna in again one of the best spa of the country. Highly recommended for a relaxing family day or romantic getaway!

Paradise in Arabia. This hotel is not only beautiful but it’s very private and secluded; an enclave of relaxation. The hotel is set as a bunch of villas on the seaside surrounding pools and gardens. The breakfast was amazing and probably the best in all of Qatar that I’ve tried. Nothing, though, is as exemplary as their spa. I have had treatments all over the world and this is the absolute BEST massage I’ve ever gotten (request for Sabir). They understand the technique and goals of a massage rather than just playing around and trying to make you feel good like so many other places. Stay here just for that. Service was also 5 star. Nothing but good to say about this place.

Amazing! Can't wait to return again someday in Doha Qatar If you ever go to Qatar THIS is the place to stay You can not pick a better location or a nicer hotel. Good services, The Team worker are Helpful and have a good definition of Customers Relation. Every time I Came back it's better. Wonderful location, nice selection for breakfast. The pastries were super delicious! The nice room and the staff were the best part of my stay. Overall experience- great. Would highly recommend a wonderful hotel! Nice rooms, very clean. Big choice of restaurants at the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay there again. Thank all for the staff and service. Loved it and can’t wait to go back to this perfectly situated beautiful hotel.

The staff at the breakfast/lunch restaurant were simply amazing! My son has an egg allergy and they went above and beyond to take care of our needs and keep him safe. They provided delicious meals for him and were so friendly and kind! Thank you Mariam, Sunny and the rest of the team! The one thing I wish the property did have was a proper indoor kids club. It was well over 100 degrees during our stay so it was too to be outside during the day. I wish they had an indoor facility as well. The kids area outdoors looked amazing - just couldn't use it because of the heat. It would have been 5 stars otherwise!

Amazing place to visit, nice and relaxing resort in the city. The rooms are nice but do require some maintenance and modernization. The pool area is very nice, although at the end of the afternoon people start to struggle finding sunbeds. The staff is very friendly and helpful, around the pool and in the hotel, and the complimentary water throughout the day makes it more convenient. The public changing room/toilets are not very clean and outdated. The staff providing the breakfast in the buffet restaurant are very helpful and kind, really appreciated them. The staff providing the dinner in the buffet restaurant did not seem so interested to their customers. 4 out of 5 stars, since this is a 5-star hotel with 5-star prices, all above should be tip-top, but it needs improvement on some points though.

Sharq Village offers a wonderful spa service worthy of the Ritz Carlton name. The gorgeous pool is chilled. The restaurants offer first class food. It is possible to have lunch in front of the beach or by the pool and the service is very accurate. Highly recommended.

It was a fantastic experience. The location is excellent, and it's very peaceful. You can easily access everything within a 20-minute taxi/Uber ride. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. The room is spacious and beautifully designed. I will definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic time at the hotel. We had a little issue with our food order at the pool. The manager on duty, Shakila addressed the issue with a high level of professionalism. In the end, we were completely happy. I would like to congratulate her and her team for the special attention. We are definitely coming back. Highly recommended!!!

We spent very nice few days in a suite with sea view. As there is no access to the beach directly from the room, I recommend the room with balcony and sea view. Our breakfasts were served with high care. Thank you Salma and the team. The Spa takes you to a unique experience. Highly recommended.

I had a 5 star experience at this 5 star resort that went above and beyond to provide exceptional service and facilities for me and my friends. The pools and hot tub, and the waterfront were all immaculately maintained. The bartenders were super friendly and accommodating. The food options were on point. I hit the jackpot when I came here to celebrate my birthday and watch the World Cup. I highly highly recommend this place. Visit for a day and stay for as long as you would like. You will not be disappointed.

THE WORST! SO BAD!!!! Don’t ever think of doing any party there, they’re the worst! Only good in taking money from you! I did my party there & I regret it so much! A gold bracelet was stolen inside the party by one of their staff members!!! I’m involving the police to compensate me!!!!! THE WORST!

Such a great stay! We stayed here because we had an overnight layover in Doha (18hrs) and wanted to stay somewhere close enough to the airport, but that was also close to Souq Waqif so we could get dinner the night of our layover. From the check-in experience, to our room, everything was great!! We wish we could have stayed there for at least 3 days to enjoy the pool, beach and restaurants! Also the lobby area is beautiful!

Amazing hospitality from an incredible resort This is our first time visiting Doha in mid-Sept 2002, and staying at The Ritz-Carlton branded resort for three nights with a baby, we were totally blown away by the amazing hospitality of the staff, the village-inspired architecture and the traditional decor of the resort. We had few separate bookings done at different time including American Express Fine Hotel & Resort booking plus two additional nights booked with Marriott Bonvoy points with Titanium Elite status. Since the resort is under the Ritz-Carlton brand, the suite night awards (SNA) couldn't be applied on the booking to help secure the room upgrade. We were allocated to the Deluxe King Room with a furnished balcony where you have the Arabian sea view close to the private beach of the resort. Next to the king bed, we also have a crib for the baby. The marble bathroom comes with separate shower and tub, and toilet with bidet. The room also comes with a mini-bar with refrigerator and Nespresso coffee machine. The room has the Qatari design that is very different to any other hotel rooms we have stayed in the past and indeed was what we were looking for. We love the traditional decor and architecture of the resort, the lobby looks amazing when the light cast on the atrium wall from different angles. The facilities in SPA was incredible with many treatment rooms, and the fitness centre, steam room, sauna, hot/code pools are complimentary to the hotel guests. During our stay, we had an awesome experience with all the staff we have met. Specifically, frontend desk helped us setup the Ehteraz mobile app and answered many questions we had. While the concierge team took care of our travel planning need in all possible way, and was above and beyond my expectation with the special arrangement for our wedding anniversary with a 1 year old baby by the pool side. Staff from Al Liwan restaurant had been super friendly and helpful that introduced me the available cuisines and catered all our needs, we were also surprised by their special arrangement for us at our last breakfast from our stay. We also had an amazing Persian cuisine at Parisa restaurant where we could use the food and beverage credit from American Express Fine Hotel & Resort booking. We would like to take the opportunity to shout out the Concierge team Mr. Jaime, Ms. Minuri, Ms. Shakila, the front desk team, Mr. Kadlen, Mr. Faozi and everyone from the Aliwan restaurant including Abdelhadi, Boutayna, Meryem, Heryem, Nissvivnne, Diya, Afae. We were very much appreciated with the friendly hospitality we had experienced at this resort, and the facilities it has to offer, and wish we could have stayed longer. The positive experience we had was beyond our expectation and unmatched so far in our experience with hotels and resort. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable. We hope to be back soon! I wish The Ritz-Carlton Sharq Village, Doha continue to succeed with the incredible staff and will not hesitate to recommend this place for visitors to Doha.

An amazing hotel close to the airport. But my only concern was the staff especially the pool staff and restaurant team who are little to in your face and when visiting with family it’s not required. We were just there for a rest and found some staff a little to much. Apart from that small Winge, the location was great and hotel so clean food was excellent and breakfast was out of this world (apart from final day and a 20min wait for two poached eggs)

💚💚 Luxury and the best cultural hotel in Doha with the coffee and clean room service. More than 50 diverse food selections for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff knows Qatar and they helped us to explore Qatar in a best way. Whenever I call reseption, they solved my issue in less than 5 minutes. You will never have communications problem with the lovely staff. They help us when we had emergency health issue. The FOOD is very healthy. You can find different selection from Mediterranean to French and Middle Eastern in the hotel. The staff is warm welcoming. Special thank: *Executive Chef, Mert (for his sincere welcoming and yummy exclusive Adana Kabap.) *Rawan, *Faouruk (for his warm hosting and delicious breakfast) *Melisa *Mercy *Ahmed (for his smiling face and welcoming us with heart warming tea during check in and check out) *Abdulrauf (he connected us from my villa to my family villa with the club cars) Hadi *SPA TEAM and my YOGA instructor And, valuable other staff for organizing an amazing Wellness week. ❤️❤️❤️ Sharq Village hotel is a heaven for FAMILY. A fantastic getaway from all the hustle and bustle of doha. A very relaxing family break. Special thanks to Abbas as the main kids entertainer and activities lead. HOWEVER, Being a one team is great but it meant he couldn't always be at 2 places at the same time and consequently it meant some of the scheduled activities didn't happen on time and as a result my children got bored if waiting and missed out. Dear management, please note: There should be more staff for these activities otherwise it leaves a disappointing experience for families.

My stay at Sharq Village Doha of Ritz Carlton was exceptional! The beach was a tranquil escape, and their top-notch service truly stood out. The staff's enormous effort to help me retrieve my Formula One tickets was remarkable, allowing me to enjoy the event. I especially want to thank Hizan for the time end effort he put in to save my F1 evening. This luxury retreat exceeded my expectations in every way!

This is my favorite day-pass spot on Doha. The cocktails are amongst the best in Doha. The vibe and crowd is laid back, not too fancy, not trashy. Service is on point. Only down side is that the food is just average. Nothing special.

This is an amazing place to enjoy the day with your friends or family. My experience there was amazing. Few months ago I visited there with my friends and it was a great experience. Lunch buffet was superb and well worthy to try. Then my favourite part is the beach and pool. Unbelievable. Area is so clean and relax. Gentle crowd and atmosphere was perfect. Had few fun activities like badminton etc. And I can't leave here without mentioning about the staff. They are very supportive and well trained to their works. And I'm highly recommending Sharq Village. Must visit place in Doha 😊

Not much more can be said about this wonderful hotel other than it is 5 star on every level. The thing that makes this hotel what it is is their staff, never have we been to a hotel where every member of staff makes you feel welcome and goes the extra mile for you. As a young family they made our stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. We had an unfortunate incident with our son who needed hospital treatment and the staff could not have been more helpful in seeking us medical attention but their attentiveness and care to come to our room with a cake and get well soon message embodies the kindness that the team showed us all holiday. The small gestures throughout shows how much the care about their guests. Aside from staff, the facilities are first class and were amazing for children and they manage to perfectly balance entertainment for the children along with relaxation in keeping with a 5 star resort. The resort is spacious with a lot of space across the two large pool areas. The gym was first class and was amazingly set up and equipped and the food was incredible with a great variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff by the pool, the lifeguards, the pool barmen were all so kind and helpful and made our son (18 months old) the centre of attention which was so nice to see and experience. Thank you to all that made our stay amazing we will be back. Alex

I like the style of the hotel. It is not the newest, but it is definitely have its charm. Cozy, with amazing swimming pools and green garden around. Little streets around the villas. It feels that you are not taking a staycation, but travelling to another country. The style of spa is nice. I didn’t try any services for a long time, but I remember before it was really good. I would definitely come back for a staycation again

Beautiful hotel in a very good location if you don’t mind that big plane getting ready for landing above your room every morning at 6:30 am. The food just ruined my holiday. The hotel is designed in style of an Arabian village and it’s really beautiful. The rooms are located in massive Arab style villas which feature beautiful courtyards with ambient lighting and small fountains. Fantastic! Standard rooms are rather small. Too small for a resort. Bathroom features shower and small bathtubs. In total quite small. Beds are heavenly. The suites are massive in size and very comfortable however poorly maintained. Our 3D shower didn’t work. The aircon out of blue made noise like an airplane. They fixed the aircon. I’d expect staff to check the function of standard items daily at this hotel class rather than to rely on guests calling technicians. The pool area and beach are very nice but small. Too busy and cramped. At least they got a ping pong table, table soccer and some other items for smaller kids. They got Ritz Kids. Not sure whether it’s any good. It sounded promising on paper though. We started our culinary journey at the Persian restaurant and it was okay even though very slow. Even drinks take ages. The very noisy cash register behind my back was annoying me the entire evening. Breakfast place small and cramped for the amount of guests. Food was literally everyday the same. Small selection, poor quality of ingredients and poorly cooked. Service at breakfast understaffed, disorganised, unprofessional and certainly inadequate for a Ritz. Fruit - if stocked at all - limited to unripe pineapple, watermelon and melon. Quality the cheapest of the cheapest! Waffles burned everyday. Taste like plastic. Indian options limited to bread and patato curry. Served daily. But wait! Why Indian in Qatar anyway??? What happened to Machboos, Thareed, Harees, Balaleet, Luqaimat, Madrouba, Ghuzi, Samboosa, Um Ali and Qatari Coffee??? People are paying them thousands of dollars to and all this Ritz has to offer poorly cooked breakfast you could literally have anywhere in the world. I stayed 124 nights at Marriotts around the world in 2023 and never saw such a misery like at the RC Sharq in Doha! I Booked the Latin restaurant for the last night two weeks in advance. They wouldn’t tell me that no kids are allowed. They revealed it when we arrived for dinner. We suggested we could sit somewhere else and they agreed. Again that awful breakfast place. Waiter didn’t write the order down so items were forgotten. Food was so awful we didn’t even ask for them. Food options at the beach deep fried to death. Small tip for management: visit St. Regis, Langkawi, Ritz-Carlton Bali or Vana Belle, Luxury Collection in Koh Samui and learn what breakfast and service are expected.

Amazing food and beautiful relaxing place. We went a few times now and the only weak point is the service. In fact the attention to customers is not at the same level for everyone, more dedication is towards local or Arabic clients in general.

The place gives a combination of old heritage and modern vibes, plus the beach and pool were amazing too. Since its summer i must commend that the air conditioner in the room is working very well.👍🏻 From checking-in, going to the villa and checking-out , it was hassle free. The staff were very accomodating too. Kudos to Clarence, Norul, Mercy and Nishan, we also love the room decorations which I availed for a simple anniversary celebrations. Definitely our overall stay was funtastic😍

We visited the Iris Restaurant. The service was beyond HORRIBLE!! The waiter attempted to serve my husband and I our cocktail and glass of beer in a plastic cup saying that that was what they used to serve drinks. We quickly pointed out cocktail glasses and beer cups on other peoples tables that we could see and he then said he will go change it. The Seafood stand in the buffet area was unmanned for a long time and all the food was cold and uncooked and there was no one to provide direction on how to get the food cooked or grilled. My little daughter had to take some outside to the staff grilling to grill some for us. Lastly, it was my Husband's 40th birthday and when I booked, I told them and asked how they make their diners feel special if it was their birthday and they said the staff will sing to them with a cake and that they sell cakes. I told they we have a cake, I'll bring it and drop it with them and they'll bring it out and sing to him. When we got there, I handed the cake over to the with fire crackers. When I signalled for them to bring the cake, one waiter just brought the cake with the fire cracker and dropped it on the table and left. No happy birthday no singing to my husband alone or with his Colleague, very haphazard dumping of the cake and leaving the table. We decided to spend my Husband's birthday as a family having brunch at Iris, your team ruined it for us! We were sooo disappointed. Even my kids mentioned, 'mummy, these people don't seem to care about us!!

Good location, not far from the so-called city center. Views are good when the weather is not too hazy. Located next to the old airport (now called Doha International Airport DIA) so happens that there are a lot of aircrafts' takeoffs and landings. It's an advantage for me 😊 Unfortunately, mostly military aircrafts (which are quite noisy) cause civil aircrafts based now in the new airport Hamad International Airport. Good service, nice pool, all necessary facilities are there. They have a day beach access option. One thing which is upsetting me is that the hairdryer in the male changing room is not in service for more than a year 😑

  • 4/5 Yasser M. 2 years ago on Google
On the beach, great facilities and right in the heart of Doha. A short drive from the airport and the city centre. Came here for a work function which was a welcome break away from a claustrophobic office. The staff were very helpful and were able to put on a variety of activities and team building events. My only qualm was that it was naturally very busy with a lot of families and people using the pool and beach area. For work functions a separate area to allow better conversations would be very welcome to contrast the conference rooms.

  • 5/5 Nagham D. 2 years ago on Google
It's a very nice vibes, my favorite resort in Qatar. But I wish the Ac in the changing rooms have better room temperature, cause it feels 16degree and for kids it's very dangerous to shower them and change for them in this cold area. Thank you.

Absolutely in love with this place. The employees are extremly friendly and accomodating. We went for a day spa. You get free plain water, as much as you need. There are several pools to swim or chill at. Access to the beach is also available. The food is very good, the drinks are even better. Highly recommended

The place is amazing place to unwind after a buzy week especially the beach and pool access. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Mr. Atul and his team at the pool bar are very hospitable, courteous and engaging. They take care of all your requirements and remember your preferences. Weather your are visiting the place with family, friends or even along it absolute delight.

Reception and sales teams dafentily need an intensive customer service training. Sales team has changed the agreed rate on reservation without even informing me, I was very much surprised with a new rate on check-in. Buffet is barely 3 stars in terms of food and service. I am a regular customer at Shaq and have noticed a decline in the overall quality of the place and people. Please take this positively to improve. Thank you,

This village could manage to became one of my favourites if not the favorite pool and beach complex in Doha. The place it’s total amazing, the place has a kind of traditional architecture,a big pool with a lot of different areas that you can enjoy (like a cascade, bubble zone, swimming zone, etc.), a lot of bars (one inside the pool) with a amazing and very kindly service, they hace a table tennis, a table of mini football and a beach volleyball court where you can play, and the beach it’s also charming. The others restaurants and bars inside the hotel like “El Cedro” are also amazing and I really recommend to have a drink in such a good places! This it’s one of the better Pool and beach village of Doha for me and it’s not too expensive too compared to others, and they gift you a soft drink with your entrance too, I highly recommend it!!

Ritz Carlton 'Ladies and gentlemen, serving ladies and gentlemen'. Quality service and fantastic vibe. Some food outlets are a little below par for Ritz Carlton, but a lovely location, and built in the style of a traditional desert village. Happy days! Amazing pool...

Words cannot describe how lovely a stay at the Ritz-Carlton here in Doha really is for any level of traveller. Luxurious setting in the heart of the city. Friendly, knowledgeable, personable staff who went the extra mile. We cannot wait to return.

Nice place spend a day at the pool and the beach. Good service. We can expect to get we choice on the menu. But the stock is not up to date. For that I give only 4 stars.

This hotel has a very traditional vibe. All throughout the architecture and decor is traditional arab design adorned with elegance. Beautiful lobby area. Beautiful set up in the resort area many areas to lounge, sit, enjoy the pool waters, enjoy the coast, see the beautiful spa, and play games. You will not get bored staying here. We received a special surprise during our stay. Very much appreciated the kind gesture and efforts. Staff are very professional. Great location. Very close to downtown area and airport.

A wonderful place to stay. The rooms are pristine and the facilities excellent but it's the staff that make it. From Alan and Shakila in reception to Marvelous at the beach side bar, who is frankly one of the friendliest most open people I've ever met. Our stay was excellent. 6 out of 5 stars, would recommend to everyone.

Beautiful hotel with a few Restaurants and Bars. Rooms are nicely designed, high quality and mantained really well. Staff is super friendly, some of them are a bit slower than others but that is OK. Bar at the Pool was fantastic so is the El Cedro. Al Liwan is their main restaurant and it didn't dissappoint. Would definitively come back though the location is a bit far from day to day life or when you want to get some groceries like soft drinks
