Stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 2 nights. Pros- beautiful grounds, amazing beach access included in cost. Amazing lounge areas. Bakery in lobby is amazing. Balcony/patios from the room are great and comfortable. Rooms are clean and housekeeping staff are very attentive. Cons- we checked in at 7:00pm. We requested to purchase the lounge access for our second night. The front desk associate told us that he would throw in the access for both nights- when checking out we noticed we were charged the lounge fee for two nights despite the associate advising us he would throw it in as the lounge closes at 8pm. He explained to us we still have an hour so we could go enjoy the lounge. The management removed this charge as we did not agree to this- double check all charges! The food on the resort is mediocre. The breakfast at Santa Monica is 6/10- eggs overcooked, not enough seasoning on the food. For a hotel of such high calibre, the food should be of high quality.

Im giving a star for the pool and for the poor people who work as valet or cleaners. Other than that, I doubt that this hotel is five star. Poor hospitality at the front desk. Unprofessional employees. They answer the phone for a service and keep you waiting for more than 30 mins. Not all rooms are clean. We switched two rooms because there was insects and bad smell. I wont recommend at all. Go to the one next to it much better S.R.

Rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. I highly recommend the Santa Monica Breakfast Club. A great start to the day. The choice of food was amazing - I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. A special mention must go to Thomas in the Club Lounge. He provided a friendly and professional service, offering some great advice about getting around Doha. Thank you Thomas.

The stay was good however 2 of the hotel employees were able to upgrade our expectations from good to excellent. The first one was Zakariae from the front office; he litteraly had a solution to every problem we had, always available and always ready to help. The second one was Mohamed (the Moroccan) from Monkey Tale; because of his energy and great spirit (despite the heat) we spent the best time at this place and we went back every day! Thank you!

The hotel has been one of the best in Doha, however recently with many new hotels opening in Doha, I believe that the Grand Hyatt should consider renovating their hotel. The rooms are very dated also the lobby and the main hall feels very old. Also the parking in front of the main entrance should at least be free to the hotel guests. The food at the room service is okay, however I believe that they can improve it just like the restaurants in the hotel. The main pros of the hotel, is that they have a private beach, the hotel offer villas so if you are a big group of friends or a family this would be a great option for you, and the location of the hotel is the best as it is very close to the main destinations in the city. Overall it is a really nice hotel, however with the same value you can find better options.

The worst 5 star hotel experience in the beginning, no coffee machine in the room, swimming poor is not clean, food not very fresh, too many external customers using the restaurants and facilities, and the hotel sometimes only allows external customer reserve table. Although there’s a Thai restaurant in the hotel, they have outstanding food there, really recommend. And the good side is, after we reported the reviews, they took care of it, and trying to make things up, appreciated.

My expectations of Grand Hyatt was high. But I was disappointed to see that the place looks tired and worn-out. Yes they have a very glamorous and spacious lobby but. The Ambiance was poor. The lighting, The hallways, and carpets looks old. Our rooms was nice but needs refurbishment. Hotel amenities was poor. So many things were not there. And also They dont even have espresso that most or nit all 5 star hotels always have. . And what i dont understand from our 3 days stay was there was so many male teenagers roaming around the property all day. In short very crowded. Now in Doha, competition is very high. There are a lot of new 5 star hotels operating and coming soon. Grand Hyatt needs to step up.

Had a party with a colleague and chilled at Monkey Tale. Love the sounds to chill out after a stressful day. The beach provides a good relaxing background and it makes you forget you're in the center of Doha. Love the beach vibes and staff were very attentive to guest needs. The lobby of the Grand Hyatt is one of my faves in the city. You can feel the hotel is old, but the breathtaking lobby makes this property very classy.

Typing this while me n my baby struggling to sleep because of the AC, this is our second night, AC IS NOT COOLING THE ROOM, we tried calling room service but no one picks up. Although my daughter loved the pool and the beach but she said she wants to go home and not come to this hotel again because of AC. The staff all over the place r very friendly n polite.

I booked 4 days with family the service was terrible we tried to contact the reception they are very disrespectful. I always book here with family and it's my last time . Even when it's time to checkout they call us many time to leave the room this isn't a 5 stars hotel service. Not only i am a gold memeber but I Called 77992418 which Grand Hayatt have provided multiple local corporates with, and someone's name ahmed picked up the phone. I have asked him about the rate for one month stay.. he asked me what is my budget! Do you guys ask your clients what is their budget or do you provide them with a rate so they can book? Then after I told him I need to know what is the rate he replied back with "give me 10 mins I will go have my lunch and call you after". When I asked him if his lunch is more important than the client he struggled answering and started telling me that he meant he will go check the rate! Are you guys for real?? This is a different level of unprofessionalism and lack of training! Please spend time with your associates and train them better on how to support your clients and generate business.

I am a resident near the hotel and they have no duty of care to their neighbours with their extremely loud music at their beach club. The volume is unbelievable and I have to leave my apartment to escape the loud beats. The hotel MUST check their volume levels. I live in the pearl and could hear it. It's affecting my mental health and it is NOT what a decent hotel would do. Not professional at all.

It is an absolute disgrace that a hotel and also a brand like Hyatt spoil the stay and tranquility of hundreds of Guest by organising an open air night club with sound level of music so Loud that it must also be heard by passengers of aircraft flying over. Totally disrespectful. This area which is supposed to be quiet and family friendly has become a nightmare. You can be sure I'll make everything I can to deter people coming here.

Well , I had stayed in this hotel for a staycation package with my family. They have a good property with plenty of greens around. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. But the amenities provided is not upto mark for a five star hotel . If u are planning for a room service , you need to place the orders well in advance as they take around 45 minutes to deliver the food . The quantity of food is very less and the taste is average. The pool and beach is something that you should not miss. Kids and adults both will enjoy.

The level of cleanliness in the 3- bedroom villa we stayed in was not up to a 5-star hotel. There were no trash baskets inside toilets. Bedroom bathrooms have no hand-held toilet sprinklers!!! NO coffee machine, NO toothbrushes, NO tissue boxes :( . Low-quality electric kettle. The microwave screen was almost black showing no setting. Even Qibla direction is not shown anywhere and there was no prayer mat 😔. It took them ages to send a golf car to the villa. This place was not at all up to my expectations and its brand name reputation.

There is nothing Grand about the Grand Hyatt. It's actually quite the opposite of Grand! Definitely one of the most disappointing hotels I have ever stayed at. A/C only blows cold air, with Doha's winter/December breeze...It feels like you're in a refrigerator. There is black MOLD around the A/C outlet, room and bathroom!(photo evidence are there if anyone cares to see) The place is crawling with pests(like cow dung with a million flies buzzing around it). You can find mice at the villas as well(from a friend who stayed there a few months ago). To add to the list: meh service, dusty/dirty rooms and the walls have cracks all over them. In all honesty this place is an outdated hotel with a huge price tag due to its location, by the Pearl. If it was up to me I would say this hotel is a 3 star max, only because the lobby looks amazing and the location put you close to the pearl, katara and 51 east mall. There are many hotels around Doha that offers higher standards (better rooms and better services) for half of the price. Choose wisely my friends.

Great hotel & superb facilities..from the private beach to indoor regulated pools to outdoor pool, everything is top notch..my family had a great time in the resort..The breakfast was one of the best in doha which was in saint Monica breakfast club.. Fabulous staff. Really quick and polite, and friendly service. Visited for Friday brunch. Even with some technical problems with a fan, the team moved us to a different location without fuss. Chef made a wonderful pizza using ingredients I selected from the buffet. Best brunch I've ever had in Doha. Highly recommended.

My first experience with valet was the worst, we had to wait for 20 min in queue in front of the hotel entrance. At the end the valet guy was running around and informed most of the cars waiting that valet is full. I am not sure it it was the parking spots or his keys cabinet was full of keys !!!!!

Our room is big and clean. It has a balcony. I think every room has a balcony and a terrace. We have the pool and sea view. The receptionist especially Natasha and Innocent was very accommodating and so kind. Even Natasha called to ask me if my room is OK. S And the breakfast, it was delightful. That outdoor pool was huge. It's already my second time staying in this hotel. But still they/it amazes me. My son always talks about it. Definitely will go back anytime soon.

Great stay at the hotel, testing out all the different facilities. There were few things not working in the room when we just checked in, but staff were very helpful to address these problems right away. Also for some reason the room service menu is not provided in the room, you have to specifically call and ask for it - just a tip. However, everything else was exceptionally well done, the restaurants offer great value and delicious food. The Spa was a great experience as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach and swimming pools too. Not too many patrons this time of year.

The breakfast buffet was full of options but the taste was only okay, feel like everything was just frozen and reheated. Room was clean, spacious & while there was a mixup at the front desk about what I paid for as part of my package, the check in was simple & straight forward but a little long for a pretty calm, not at all busy afternoon. I expected a little more from a hotel that’s on the upper end of the spectrum, but not disappointed either. Side note: wasn’t courteous to remove guests from the breakfast area due to a mistake on the hotel’s end during check in. These subtle issues differentiate a good hotel from a great hotel.

Worst 5 star hotel in doha. Check in was slow and crowded we came 3:00 pm they told us to come back we came 4:30 and one of our villas was not ready. Villas were clean and spacious. We were shocked next morning that they brought the breakfast of the two villas in one while the other villa were waiting. The breakfast came as paper boxes.. for sure not a 5 star hotel level. Someone from the other villa which did not have an assigned parking was parking on our villas parking and we complain and no one did anything.

Visited the venue Monkey tail on a Saturday afternoon, great venue, music was really good. Staff was very unprofessional, I had to chase down the waiters just to make an order only to be told they will come to my table. 15 mins later I finally was able to place a order for around of drinks. The drinks sat on the bar for so long waiting to be brought to my table the I've had melted and I had to ask for fresh drinks. I literally had to tell the waiter his tip depends on how long my drinks take the second time. So Horrible service!!!

The best part of my stay at the Grand Hyatt Doha last week was the gym. One of the trainers there named Jose really motivated me to workout. He has a specialized knowledge in his occupation and working out with him was not only motivational but also it was very fun.

Unfortunately although specifically requested non- smoking rooms, one of the rooms was a smoking one! After a long flight had to change the following morning due to the hotel being at full capacity upon the evening of checking in- not acceptable! The beach, hotel and cuisine is outstanding.

Stayed in the King with the View, actually upgraded, cause you know ocean view. Didn't know that Monkey Tail was at this hotel. You can hear the music loud enough that a silent sleeper would (and did) struggle to sleep. Rather save that money and stay in the normal King room. The room was good, but compared to its competitors, there is way better for that price range. We had dinner at Santa Monica B/F club, the rib eye was really good but the service was slowish. The breakfast at SMBFC was mediocre. Really don't see why people go there just for breakfast. Wanted to go for a swim but the pool(s) was closed in the morning and the ocean was dirty. The staff is super helpful and friendly!

We just arrived to this hotel it looks nice but the king bed that they provide it doesn’t consider as a normal king that I experienced in the other hotels like intercontinental as we were there and we decide to change for 4 nights to this hotel because of the beach The rooms are not as the nice and have humidity smell And i just call and told them as i have 3 year kid so i needed a king bed and this is the second room we came and i dont want a change so they told me if you want extra bed will be extra and i said im not going to pay and then they called me that is free I just feel its not that Hyatt that i had experience in australia or dubai …. Not even coffee machine in room as most hotels especially 5 star have that And the amount of shampoo they put its just good for one person not 2 ?? We travelled with family and stayed from February 11th for 8 nights. All 4 of us had a wonderful time and could not fault the hotel. A super location (short walk to the metro station) with great facilities but it was the staff who made it extra special. The Santa Monica Breakfast Club was excellent every morning, from Christine who greeted us with a smile and quickly remembered our room numbers, to all the staff and managers we had contact with there. Along with Christine, Sangran, Sagor, Singata and the Kenyan chef on the pastry counter were especially friendly and helpful. Our final morning was extra special when the staff there presented us with delicious farewell and birthday cakes. Housekeeping was also excellent and the lady at front desk on our arrival (early hours of February 12th) was very welcoming and efficient, as was Dol who took our luggage to our rooms and remembered us later on in the holiday. The security guards were very friendly (we enjoyed chatting as we moved in and out of the hotel), especially the Ugandan security man who worked 7pm to 7am for the majority of our stay. A real selling point of the hotel is the club lounge. Wonderful food in the evening and a great selection of drinks. So much more than we had expected. The staff there were so helpful and extremely friendly, helping to make it a very memorable trip. Special thanks to Tanmoy, Thomas and Prakriti who went out of their way to welcome us and help us. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them. It was very easy to communicate with the hotel prior to arrival too and they responded very quickly to answer a couple of questions we had. Overall a fabulous holiday and we would love to return!

It took me about 3 hours to receive the room after suffering with the bad service from the reception staff. The hotel management was contacted to solve the problem, but unfortunately the management is bad in dealing with guests. The administration asked me to wait at the reception until they come to solve the problem, but unfortunately they did no come and I waited around 1 hour and the administration did not come.

During my recent staycation in Grand Hyatt, I decided to try out the set menu for Suhoor at Majlis restaurant which was included in the Entertainer offer. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed with the value for money I received from this menu. However, the variety of the food did not match the price tag as it’s not mentioned on the app what they offer along with the set Menu. The photo attached is self explanatory. In conclusion, I would not recommend this set menu to anyone looking for value for money.

We had a lovely stay for two days. The service was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The Santa Monica breakfast was amazing. The only complaint was the view from our room which wasn't very pleasing.

I booked a family staycation for my wedding anniversary and had the most fabulous weekend. Tanmoy received us brilliantly and made sure to check in on us during our entire stay. Excellent service. The food at all the restaurants were 5 star, and the breakfasts were excellent. Our server (named Sury I think) was also extremely helpful and polite. The pools and private beach was really awesome and filled with little fish and marine life to entertain the kid. The gym is also really well equipped. Would highly recommend this hotel and return for another stay. Keep up the excellent service.

Our visit to the Doha Grand Hyatt was a highlight of our Hyatt stays. We are Hyatt members and have traveled from Denver to Washington, DC to Dubai to Oman to France to England and none of our stays at a Hyatt equaled this visit. The staff is beyond friendly and competent. They are welcoming. They treat you like family. They engage you. They are curious. Pinky, Sogar, Prakriti, Thomas, and Tala are of the finest employees. I trust Hyatt realizes the quality of their staff and treats them compatibly. It also says a lot about the training at Hyatt. If these employees are representative of that,... We opted for the club room which is basically all inclusive as the breakfast and evening buffet are ample. The evening meal in the club lounge is described as canapés and snacks but it is way more extensive with 2-3 mains and lots of salads, cold meats, cheeses and puddings, as well as cocktails and drinks. Thank you to Matias at the front desk for his incredible service and emotional intelligence after the lady at check made a mistake with our booking and refused to acknowledge it. Customer service from All staff is of the highest quality and we will be coming back. I’d suggest any residents consider staying rather than paying the day pass rate.

I had such a lovely stay here. It was only a quick one, but I felt so at home. Tanushree and her housekeeping team did a great job - the room was spotless. I loved that the chocolate on my pillow was actually a really good chocolate, not just a gesture ;) At breakfast, I was welcomed by Namuna and Happiness and both treated me with so much kindness. The pastries at this breakfast buffet were fabulous. Even though I knew I would be returning soon, I felt a little sad to leave. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Management here are irresponsible and not caring for the neighbourhood. Their beach club plays music exceptionally loud that apartments nearby can hear it! I can't even begin to imagine what the music level is like at the beach club. Management must take action and check the music volumes are acceptable to suit the neighbourhood nearby.

This place is nice, however the bar (Monkey Tale Bar) on the premise is horrible. They play their music very loudly. You cannot even hear people in your group talk to each other. They can manage this place a lot better . They always pose problems for the ajasint apartments complex

I came there three years back that time it was really amazing the service &staff, but unfortunately this time it was totally changed ,especially the house keeping team they did a terrible incident& they are not aware of basic rules how to get permit prior to enter the guest rooms ,although I met the housekeeping supervisor (zulfiqar)after the incident immediately, and he promised to take prompt action against the case, but he did nothing, anyway I was planning to have a case against them,but BCS of my family request I forgot about it and tried to enjoy A 5star hotel's staff should be well trained. A very bad experience, will never be repeated again. Also to be fair rooms are great &views& all restaurants are amazing with great staff , but sometimes one person will destroy a great team.

The management of this hotel is disgraceful. They have parties every weekend in monkeytale where they play music far louder than what is legally permissible from 4pm till midnight. The entire day I heard the boom box and beat and became physically and mentally unwell from the noise. My several complaints were ignored as I was told the volume was turned down but in reality it continued to be very high. A very bad reputation for an international brand and ruined by bad local management. Unprofessional and have no regard for neighbouring residents who have children and elderly who need to sleep.

Housekeeping staff is very helpful too. Excellent location . Bang opposite Lagoona Mall. So shopping is no problem. All nice sight seeing places are close by. Rooms are big and very clean. Very quiet place . Love the vibe. Must Visit !

Had breakfast at the Santa Monica breakfast club housed within the Grand Hyatt. The concierge was polite and helpful and the hotel has great ambience all through the reception area with plenty of seating space for guests. Lots of good spots to take photos too. The hotel has several restaurants and an outdoor dining area and bar with beautiful gardens leading to the beach. A nice spot to chill on an afternoon.

Amazing service (particularly from Thomas on reception/club lounge and Happiness at breakfast). The club lounge had a fantastic array of food at dinner, good drinks selection and a lovely spot to get away from the heat.

Lovely hotel, friendly and very courteous staff, totally enjoyed my stay here. I particularly love the attention to detail in cleaning the rooms. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Doha.

Great hotel in Doha - the staff is really friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Breakfast is insane - everything is super tasty and the selection is pretty much unparalleled. The location is great - variety of shopping options nearby, and getting here from the airport is easy.

We had the annual gathering meeting and the atmosphere was very nice but the food was the qorstbwe ever tried before. They should work on bringing better chefs because food tasted very bad. I was really chocked this 5star hotel with this low grade quality of food.

Attended one conference in Hyatt. Very nice arrangements done by them for our function/meeting. Different varieties of foods, sweets, and drinks were available with them. And was good in quality & taste.

It was great experience with this nice hotel. The room was so tidy, clean and elegant. The service is highly appreciated. Good workers and staff. The location of the hotel is so perfect as it near a metro station and near Lagoona Mall that contains everything you need.
