I booked this hotel for my parents as they had a long layover in Doha. Their flight was delayed and they arrived at Doha the next day instead of the day their booking began. Despite these issues, the staff at the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels was able to amend the booking at a moment’s notice. The staff went above and beyond to make my parents’ stay comfortable and easy! Their customer service and hospitality at the hotel was beyond exemplary — they were kind, communicative, and friendly. My parents were able to relax and meet old friends, and were able freshen up before heading back to the airport. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and it’ll be my first choice if I ever need a place to stay in Doha!

Great hotel right in the center of Doha, on Souq Waqif. Perfect for a short stopover in Doha as it’s ~20 minutes by taxi from the airport. The service is exceptional - from the check-in process, through various requests and check-out - everything goes very smooth and in a friendly, professional manner. Rooms are clean and quiet (even though Souq Waqif is exceptionally busy at times), beds are comfortable. Didn’t get a chance to try their breakfast as I had an early morning flight. What might be little bit confusing is that this is not a single hotel - but a few hotels, all placed on Souq Waqif and managed by one group. In overall, recommending!

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, here is what you should know: ✅Location is great, it is located near coffee shops & restaurants ✅Very close to the metro station ✅Security & services are great ✅Give them a call and they will prepare their spa ✅They will provide you with a soap and towels so you can take a shower their ✅Very friendly workers ❌You have to travel (walking 5 min or request a golf card) between their hotels in order to use the hotel facilities. For example: the breakfast in a different hotel, the spa in another different one) which was a little time-consuming. ❌No cold jacuzzi, only hot ❌Not enough golf cards, only 2 were available during my stay ❌390 Riyal is a little bit expensive

Wonderful hotel in the city centre. The staff were friendly and caring. They had a golf cart service to our hotel room which was in Musheireb (4 minute walk). The rooms were fabulous!!! The car parking was below Souq Waqif and was complimentary for those staying in this hotel. A special thanks to Mr Ali who was in front desk and he was very understanding and helpful as well. If given a chance we will stay in this hotel again in future visit to Doha.

Several hotels around the Souq Waqif (old quarter), we stayed in one and had breakfast in another for the 27 hrs stopover. We got in late, but could still order room service. And best of all we could check out late and enjoy the room while exploring the city.

first time visitors to Qatar, I would suggest this Hotel. Very clean and hygiene, visitors friendly approach by the all the staffs. Specially the receptionists (miss Monica, and miss Jennifer ) they were very good in handling visitors and the car driver Bro.Ansar helped us in exploring the Souq Waqif Market. This hotel very easy access to Metro, beach, Market, food joints, taxi, etc and for kids they can roam around freely!

I stayed at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel for 3 nights on Qatar Airways Stopover Program. It is conveniently located in Souq Waqif which is a bustling traditional market place, especially at night. You can find all kinds of interesting items for sale such as clothing, spices, local delicacies, souvenirs and even pet birds! There are many restaurants around this area and the atmosphere is great! I was very fortunate to receive a free upgrade for my hotel room which was super nice and comfortable. Not only that, the customer service provided by the hotel, especially Mr. Ansar has been fantastic and truly a great experience of the hospitality in Qatar. I would highly recommend this hotel and I hope to come back again one day!

We had lunch, drinks in the East Cafe. Kay was the lady that served us. She was so friendly and could not do enough for us. Very obliging and easy to talk to. Had a few laughs with Kay. Thank you for making our time here very pleasurable. We would like to say that Ansar has been excellent driving us from place to place. He is very pleasant and efficient. While we have been here we have found all of the staff to be very helpful and they cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble to make our stay pleasant.

Amazing hotel, unique location inside the souq, where you can really feel the Qatari culture. Outstanding Staff they goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. If possible, ask for Abubakar to teach you on local costumes and places.

We had an amazing, even though brief, stay at this hotel (2 days). The premises are outstanding, the service is incredible and the staff couldn't be more careful about the guests. I would like to mention especially Jennifer, from the front desk, for her tenderness in taking care of everything related to us. My 4-year old daughter Catarina will not stop talking about how much she adores her, and that she will learn how to speak English only so she can keep a conversation with Jennifer next time we're in Doha! Thank you Jennifer, and thank you Tivoli Hotels :-)

Actually I would rate 4 star but would add 1 extra star for Front desk officer Jennifer who has amazing hospitality and listens to you and your concerns and addresses them on time. Many thanks for all your support … the security guards are amazing too … kudos to all of you !! Must visit place the next too …

We arrived very late thanks to a delay at immigration, but the team was ready for us at 330 am, and helped us settle in quickly. Superb location, fabulous hospitality and simply wonderful property. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Good hotel in the city centre. The staff were friendly and caring. The rooms were great, very spacious. But it doesn't have the structure of a 5-star hotel. The car parking was below Souq Waqif and was complimentary for those staying in this hotel. A special thanks to Mr Ansar who was the driver’s car and he was very kind and helpful.

Dirty, Unkempt, with horrible service and some dishonest staff. Towels smelled stuffy, ripped shutters with pencil drawing behind them. Cracks in wall, stained bed cover, cracks in sink. Staff lying about changing sheets. No place to plug your phone next to your bed. Breakfast cheap and horrible.

I don't recommend giving these hotels any business due to poor customer service as they drag their feet to do anything!!! Al Jasra hotel in particular is an interesting case as the staff are eager to show customers how "fancy" their rooms/suites are but when you fall for their trap, you find out they don't even provide basics such as hot water!!! The problem is customers have to pay the full amount for their stay upfront and therefore when you start complaining, they do not seem to bother much!!! When I found out about the lack of hot water, it took them hours to send a tech who then disappeared for hours!!! When I called the reception again, he came back reporting he can not adjust the water temp to be more than 42 degree Celsius!!! I told him that can not make any sense as I frequently visit the Gulf region in the winter and I know for sure they have hot water!!! He left and disappeared again for hours. I called the front desk and asked to speak to the manager (a guy with the name of Emad), but he never called or showed up. At this point (8-9 hours after I originally requested maintenance), I went down to the front desk and threatened to go to the police station to see if hot water can not be truly provided. As soon as I was done talking to the front desk staff, the same tech along with the manager, Emad, showed up and went to my suite. They came back 40 minutes later stating they fixed the problem but it will take hours before the hot water starts running. Again this conversation is taking place around 10 pm and I called about this problem for the first time around noon!!! After all that unpleasant experience, the water temp only went up few degrees to make the the water lukewarm at best!!!

Perfect stay, beautiful place full of nice, polite and helpful staff. Our room was under attention of Faridul and we couldn’t be served better way. Location of the hotel is very convenient, from one side entrance to Souq with many restaurants from the other subway entrance allowing to visit all Doha. Most Recommend option for 5-7 days stay

Today Abubakar guided us through the souk. The free guided tour was an absolute hit. We were introduced to the secrets of falconry and horse breeding, visited the camels of the parliamentary guard and learned about the old master Al-Bäder Khalid Dame. The guided tour with Abubakar was a highlight of our stay in Qatar and is an absolute must for every guest of the Souk Waqif Boutique Hotel. Thank you for this beautiful experience.

Very clean, very comfortable and ideally located for us as tourists. They accommodated us for a much later checkout. Our flight out was at 2 am and since we did not have the room anymore, they allowed us to use their shower facilities in the basement before we departed for the airport. Would definitely stay here again.

This may well be the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The situation is perfect in the Souq, with good restaurants all around. The room was great, lots of space and an exceptionally comfortable bed. The breakfast spread was great. However, what makes this hotel exceptional are the staff. Everyone greets you with a smile and often to ask you how your day has been, and can they be of any help. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. We will certainly stay here again when we pass through (In the winter next time)

Abubacar is very knowlegable of souq wakif, he took us on a tour and we learned about the falcon race, Qatar and horses culture. With him we fed the royal horses and visit the camel. He brought us to a nice and delicious local restaurant were we enjoyed a nice diner in the small souk wakif street. He has many good relations so he was abble to recommend us a good tour guide with whom we discovered the Qatars architecture and history. It was a very good expériences, definetely a place to visit and you will be in good hands with Abubacar. Francine and Maria

Great Hotel Amazing rooms, with a rustic feel and a nice touch to merge the past to the present, but it is all lost because of the poor location and the running around the guest have to do, whether it is for having breakfast or for taking the car out of the parking. The saddest part is that the hotel is surrounded by stables where there is a lot of smell and is not a good way to enter or leave the room. The staff were super friendly and greatly helpful.

It was a wonderful stay at the hotel, and the reception staff was wonderful in the entry service procedures, especially Miss Jennifer, who was very distinguished in her service, and this indicates her professionalism at work. As for room service, Mr. Sreemon was excellent in service, friendly in dealings, and very keen in performing the work. A most wonderful hotel and I will be a regular customer, many thanks to Jennifer for my advances and also to Sreemon.

This hotel has the perfect location to feel the culture of Qatar. The buildings near the hotel are perfectly exotic, and the design of the hotel is appropriate to feel the design of the Middle East. In addition, the hotel provides perfect service at a reasonable price, and the room is clean and large. In particular, Dhurba, who was our staff member, has greatly contributed to the perfection of our trip, and we appreciate his service.

Great hotel group. We stayed for 3 days. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dhurba from Nepal collected us from the hotel in a golf buggy and took us where we wanted to go. The temp was 43 degrees but we often saw him transporting visitors from one end to the other all day in the heat. The room was amazing with everything we needed. I would highly recommend it. Great value.

Fab hotel, set over 3 or 4 buildings in the Souq Waqif. We had a huge suite with a balcony, the pool and the gym were great (the pool got plenty of use, it was certainly the best place to get out of the 40 degree heat). They served one of the best hotel breakfasts that I've ever had. Top notch!

Truly a gem within the confines of Souq Waqif. A wonderful stay that I would gladly do again in the near future. My mother and I arrived into Doha airport around 0015, Oct 30. My mother is not ambulatory and needed wheelchair service so getting out of the airport took longer than expected. The arranged transportation was a delight. The driver waited patiently for our arrival and whisked us to the hotel. I wish I remembered his name but he was very friendly and commented to us some sites en route to the hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel guest relations who checked us in was accommodating. Thank you Abdullah for getting us our late check-out til 3pm. Special thank you to Ansar for driving my mother and I to our rooms and offering to drive her from Basmillah to the arranged breakfast location the following morning. Unfortunately our original room had a defective drain in the main shower room making it very slippery for my mother to use. To my surprise and delight on the next day, management of the hotel were able to transfer us to another room in the Najd hotel with equal or superior amenities. Thank you once again to Ansar for getting all our luggage and belongings from one hotel to another with ease. We loved the proximity of all the restaurants and shopping within footsteps of the hotel. The entire staff we encountered during our stay were polite and very accommodating to our wishes and requests. I will be talking about my experience to my family and friends in the coming days. Thank you for a wonderful transit-stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The staff were some of the most accommodating and friendly individuals. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable and hassle-free. The accommodation itself was equally impressive. It is a historical square, a square where people usually stop by to get fresh air to relieve stress. Since it is a historical square, we can call it a place frequented by its photographers. There is a bird market in souq waqif, I strongly recommend you to visit. There are colorful birds chirping there.

🔴Worest experience in "5 star hotel". 1. Rooms were booked 7 days before travel and pre check in was completed before arrival. However, rooms were not ready and the check in time delayed to unknown time!!. 2. While leaving the hotel, the manager promised to refund in less than 15 days, but nothing received. 3. Trying to contact with the hotel via website and sending email, but there is no response. I can not consider dealing with Souq Waqif As 5 stars hotel.

🔴Worest experience in "5 star hotel". 1. Rooms were booked 10 days before travel and pre check in was completed before arrival. However, rooms were not ready and the check in time delayed to 9:30 pm !!. 2. No respect to privacy. even with "DO NOT DISTURB" tags were in placed ppl will knock on the door and make up the room and remove the tags!!. 3. Bed was wear out and uncomfortable. 4. Breakfast area was small and we had to wait for the table. 5. Reception and breakfast staff weren't profissional and supportive. We asked for AC temp adjustment and luggage help...etc but, they don't support. During breakfast they do not help and ignored our orders. 6. No sounds insolation. We couldn't have good sleep because the cars horn noise.

Service here was wonderful - all staff members were so polite and welcoming. The room was nice and clean, and included great A/C, free toiletries, and a TV. We had a hand-written note in the room upon arrival. We requested an outlet adapter, which was promptly delivered to the door. The beds and pillows were very comfy. The room was, however, very humid and damp (likely from the A/C, and probably hard to avoid). Additionally, our in-room coffee maker didn't work, but we were able to get some Qatari coffee in the lobby (served with dates) - which was so good! There are 9 different buildings, so I'm not sure how the rooms in the other buildings compare. There were a handful of restaurants within short walking distance, and I looked like you could order from some of them through room service.

Al Jasra hotel Is an excellent hotel to experience Qatari culture and hospitality. We recommend the experience and warmth of the hotel, rooms and very very friendly staff. Ms Jennifer in reception is a super star,no amount of effort is not too much. She walked us to the breakfast room, helped store our extra luggage and even checked that we found our Uber driver. Ebrahim helped us effortlessly with our luggage and house keeping (sorry I forgot your name) made every effort to ensure that nothing was amiss in our rooms. If you are a tourist coming to Doha, the Al Jasra Hotel (one of the three hotels run by the Tivoli group) is the ONLY place you should stay. The rooms are large and lovely, the hotel is literally right beside the souk (even though it is largely a recreation of the original, it is still my favourite souk in the Middle East), it is extremely quiet (no traffic nearby), and the staff are wonderful. Great experience - highly recommended.

ABSOLUTE EMPFEHLUNG In one Word, it was awesome 😍 The whole stay in Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel was a so lovely experience. Beginning with the heartwarming welcome by Muhid (best Personal guide), he Showed us everything in the area and was so friendly and cared very good for me and my Cousin. Shoutout to Mr Muhib! It was a pleasure to eat in La Piazza while Miss Lushy was our waitress for this dinner. She is so friendly and nice mashallah, high commandation and props to her too. The day enden very comfortable when it was time to sleep in the warm and fluffy beds at the Arumaila Building. The next day started with a yummy breakfast, where you can choose between a lot of delicious various food. Everything Tasted so fresh and definitely The best Cappuccino ever. Our waitress Ms Dena was as her Collegues so friendly and it was very nice to talk with her. After Check Out we waited for Our driver in the lobby and Mr Muhib was again very Gentle and freimdly and Served us Dates and a cup of arabic Coffee, definitely a must Taste. The Concierge Ms Jennifer was also like her Collegues absolutely georgeus and so friendly. Though it was just one night, All in all it was a Pleasure to stay at the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel. Mariam welcomed me in one day one checkin, very professional and helpful; Rajjoun, Bikash, Fred were very attentive, helpful and very willing to assist. Muhib is a super star, he helped to organise my taxis and gave very valuable advise on sight seeing and a very fantastic front of house staff. I will like to give special thanks to all staff and most especially Muhib. I will definitely recommend this hotel. The one I stayed in is Arumail.

One of the best hotel I have came across. We planned to stay for 1 night during weekend in Al Bidda hotel. From the entrance till the end the service was awesome. The manager was great. Very flexiblie, helpful, easy to communicate and coperative. Al bidda has a restaurant called La pattieseire and La piazza isbsame name. The booling we had was having buffet menu in la Piazza. Must try there Almond croissant. And shakshuka egg was good as well. In dinner we had pizza and alfredo which was good too. The chef was very good. All 7 hotels were interocnnected and you can enjoy services from any . We had jaccuzi and sauna which was good too and was inclided in hotel price.

This hotel is spotless, the staff go out of their way to accommodate, everyone is very friendly and efficient, Aladdin in particular! Breakfast was also delicious, in different location but very close!! Chose this hotel for a perfect stay!

We arrived at the hotel after a long flight to very warm and friendly welcome by the staff. We were shown to a lovely, spacious room and then invited by the manager, Abubatcaz to join him on an evening walking tour of the area. It was a fantastic experience and we were given an insight into the culture of Qatar and shown some highlights in and around the souq area. Very very grateful for this experience. What a great welcome to Doha!! The staff are an absolute asset to this lovely hotel. The hotel has more than exceeded our expectations.

We stayed at the Souq Waqif Boutique hotels in January. It’s a beautiful location. Best option to truly get a feel of Doha. Very relaxing and calm atmosphere. Wide range of affordable and high end options for shopping and restaurants. Just be sure to check which building your room is being reserved in as there are 8 different buildings situated in the souq. Some are not so easy to access if you have trouble climbing stairs. Thank you Mr Ansar and Ms Jessica!

I was supposed to stay at the Al Bidda hotel. I asked if I could have a late check out. The staff were so accommodating. They upgraded my room and switched me to the Al Jasra location. This is the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The staff were so sweet especially Ansar who helped me switch hotels, carry my bags, and showed me my room. Best hotel experience ever. I would definitely stay here again.
