The reception staff was unfriendly: he did not say welcome; he looked annoyed and did not smile; he did not look at me while talking to him; he did not seem willing to respond to my inquiries. I usually give excuses the first time that maybe the person had a bad day, but I visited the hotel 2 times, 10 days-apart. The first time I visited this hotel, the same employee was at the check-in counter, and he was not helpful. The second time I went there to book a room, he was again unfriendly, so I took my luggage and left to another hotel. I paid more in the other hotel, but at least the staff were nice and helpful. To be fair, the security man at the gate was helpful and welcoming; he helped me with my luggage.

Probably it's a bit late but I would like to share my experience on Feb 01, had a very mixed (mostly bad) experience due to logistics issue. Every business has a right to service refusal but please DON'T BE RUDE, otherwise Hospitality is not the business you want to be in. The older gentlemen at the reception was very rude, good for him as he's venting out his frustration but bad for business. The reception is suppose to provide the best and ever lasting positive impression. The gentlemen, customer relationship manager was always wearing a smile, humble, sympathetic with us. I want to call out Mahesh who was in charge of restaurant and was very kind and even offered us pastries and coffee. Advise to management: Bring customer relation ship manager and restaurant in charge to the front desk they could do wonders as they were true ambassadors of hospitality.

New name and new Look very good hotel and good hospitality service

The hotel is in a good location (10/10) and we received best service from the hotel staff. The hotel building is very old, it needs renovation. There was carpet in our room and it was smelling bad. The carpet got stains and must be removed. A building can be old however it should be clean with good scent.

First, let me say that the staff everywhere in the hotel were the best... Always helpful and friendly, nothing was too difficult. Unfortunately the building is old and worn and it really isn't a 4 star hotel on a world standard. I believe they are going to renovate next year, 2023, I suggest that you wait until after that.

i stay in this Hotel 1 night when our flight was delayed. It’s shocking and comical that this place claims to be a 4 Star hotel. This hotel is extremely run down and dirty The room stunk of mold. On the 9th floor, the walls were full of mold. Best to avoid this hotel. I would not have expected anything like this from Qatar Airways. We had a headache the next day and our eyes were itchy because of mold.

Everything was excellent! The breakfast was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and the room was also clean and tidy. Special mention should go to the pool, which is clean and spacious to swim in. Overall, a wonderful experience!

We had a daycation at the hotel, for one night at the hotel. The services was really good and we really enjoyed it. The staff was really friendly as well, and helpful. The hotel is located near one of the popular tourist attractions in Doha Musherib and is close access to the metro to explore the rest of Doha. However I felt the pillows were a bit too flat, other than that it was really good.

Avoid this place if you enjoy sleep. It’s not their fault, but the hotel is located right in the middle of an area that is heavily under construction, these construction sites are working 24 hours a day and they certainly don’t focus on the quieter elements of building during the night. Unfortunately I only had about an hours sleep in total. I wouldn’t have bothered writing a review however I felt the staff were I Italy quite unfriendly towards me when I arrived, they had confused me for someone else and told me to wait in the lobby. Other than the staff friendliness, this hotel has much to offer. The rooms are old, rather not clean, bathrooms are in bad shape. The location is noisy and the hotel has loud generators and air-conditioner. I found it expensive for what it is.

Treffen House Doha is a lovely place in the heart of Doha. I visited the Lobby coffee shop at this place, and was delighted at the attentive service of Ms. Janice Villa, who was prompt in her service and recommendations. She asked about the food served, and followed up as well. Great work! Delightful place, great service and a nice location.

Old hotel, has been refurbished to a reasonable level. Rooms are comfortable as such except the two main issues we experienced i.e no locks in Bathroom doors plus no bidet washers.

Room Is Very Good ,And Clean And Tidy . Food Is Very good. But Some Time Please Make Panneer Kadai like Veg Indian Gravy Itam . You Made Indian Food Itam So Nice.

The hotel was accessible to many tourist attractions around the city. Booking was seamless thru Ms. Ayesha. The receptionist were very accommodating, especially RJ. The bellboy, Rajendra, was responsive to our needs. The breakfast was decent with wide range of choices. The hotel is highly recommended.

The shower had no pressure at all. The WiFi connection were dropping all the time, the coffee at the breakfast is totally undrinkable, there is supposed that is a 4 star hotel, isn't it?

Overall stay was good ,had nice room with pool view ,room was neat and very well maintained ,food was excellent and staffs from hotel taken good care of visitors ,one draw back is that in hotel bar renewwation was ongoing and it was closed but my friend asked for room service but they regret it saying we wont able to service to room when bar is closed.apart from that other things were good .

The hotel is one of the oldest in Doha, I went for iftar dinner, the food was very good and mostly is Moroccan food. The staff were super friendly. I would not hisitate to come back for another dinner in the future. Many times they do 50% off offer

We dined at the La Villa Restaurant located in the 12th floor of the Mercure Grand Hotel. It was a fabulous experience from the quaint ambiance to the hospitality. The food is delicious and the serving size is apt .We were served by Mr.Sayyed who was extremely friendly, patient and took care care of us the entire evening.The complimentary bread was so soft and crunchy on the outside that we purchased a loaf from the restaurant . I’m sure we’ll be visiting soon .

Went for the buffet Janice was beyond sweet. I went with my infant and his diaper had to be changed she came to the bathroom with me and help me change him. Though she’s a server she really is great with customer service

We enjoyed our breakfast which included variety of food especially the live egg station, the waffle station and the dessert. A very big thank you to the most welcoming ladies Janice and Rohan. They are always smiling and ready to help.

Overall experience at this hotel was fantastic. I love the food and the services provided by this hotel. This hotel is well located near Msheireb Metro station. The ambience and food is awesome. They serve Indian dish as well in breakfast. Staff in hotel is very good and they are very focused. Specially Janice, Madushika and Rohan are very attentive and they are always available for any help.

Our first time in qatar and this hotel had really good reviews before I booked it. Unfortunately when we got to our room there was hair on the pillow and the bathroom was not updated at all. There is paint peeling and chipping as well as (what looks like) yellow drops of liquid on the walls in the bathroom. The sheets themselves were clean which was good and there was no hassle about getting the pillow case switched out. The only other downside is that the AC unit was not working at all and the bed covers were very heavy, I would argue they were weighted blankets which made it very very hot. We spent a really nice time in qatar and unfortunately it did not continue when we got to the hotel. The waiting area is beautiful and the resturant (although we did not eat at) looked very very nice. I think they should revamp the rooms to make them more modern and in turn it would be easier to keep clean as well

This hotel for people who travel Doha for few days. Hotel is located close to Souq Wagif (historic center) and Metro station, not far from Cornice (sea side). Meantime you can enjoy good service and privacy. Sometime you can face old renovation, but this is compensated by cleanness. Good pool and place for sun bedding

An excellent stopover. Very good location for downtown Doha and very near to Metro. The staff were very helpful, particularly Janice Villa and Nerhara and another lady on reception. Breakfast was excellent, as was lunch. I liked the bar on the 12th floor where I ate a delicious Irish salad and enjoyed a glass of wine.

Wifi had trouble with whatsapp and I had to use local data to call. Also outlets are in an awkward place. I was not able to get the bedroom type I reserved, but room was fair for the price. Good amenities and walkable area. Good potato rolls at restaurant nearby

Went for the iftaar buffet. Surprisingly there was a lot of variety in salads, appetizers as well as the main course. The service was excellent and the staff was very courteous. Due to the ongoing construction in the area, the access is a bit difficult and parking is limited.

Service is very good and all staff very helpful. Rooms are comfortable but the carpet was not very clean. Hotel is on the old side but comfortable. Foto is view from my room. Food was good and salmon was very well prepared.

I stayed in room 845 for 4 nights. Location is near to Souq.. The rooms are really old and need quick renovation. Wall stickers peeled off in some places, carpets look dirty and old. That being said, the hotel staff is courteous.

Was sent here by Qatar Airways as they delayed my flight. The hotel is just not up to 4* standards and needs some serious work. As another reviewer mentioned, if you are offered this hotel you are probably best booking another one and paying yourself. You can’t really fault the housekeeping service but reception wasn’t particularly friendly or helpful and the pictures of the room speak for themselves! Avoid!

We were here for the World Cup. When we arrived, the staffs are very attentive and very helpful. They handed us water right away as we definitely needed it after our long flights. The check in was smooth, people are friendly and accommodating. They even handed us masks and sanitizers which is I like more. The breakfast buffet was good too, I enjoyed my omelets everyday when I was there. The building seems old but they are at least trying to make it clean and smells good. We do get our room cleaned everyday and to top of it is we were given water everyday which is the best highlight of our stay! Overall, it was a very good stay. Near to everything and walking distance to all means of transportations. Excellent people and great service! I wish your business to bright more and more blessings to come. I definitely suggest this place!

One of the worst hotel I stayed. Giving 1 star for house keeping staff they were very good polite and humble. I did check in Ac was not working I complained morning 2 person came to check they they will but till my last day they not even repaired AC and not even my room changed. They say breakfast is there but when u enter in restaurant and order for something they say it’s limited u can order only 3pcs (example if u order omelet u cannot order boiled egg)not more than that. I spoke with manager they say it’s policy. So after paying no breakfast. I stayed many hotels in GCC but no such policy I have seen Overall one of the worst stay for me.

Put here by Qatar Airways when our flight was delayed. It’s shocking and comical that this place claims to be a 4 Star hotel. This hotel is extremely run down and dirty. The carpet is stained, the facilities and permanently stained, the walls are cracked. None of the rooms get cool: they took me to additional 3 rooms and none of them feel that cool. All of the rooms looked and felt the same. I literally had to ask house keeping to shift the bed in my new room to be in a space that the AC directly blew on it to not feel like I’d melt. The room smelt musty and moldy. It is the kind of place that you don’t really want to get into the bed because it feels gross. Will you even feel clean after a shower? The room service was chaotic and orders were incorrect. I would never pay to stay here. This place is definitely more on par with a 2 star hotel. Mercure is a nice hotel brand, but this place is nothing at all to that standard. Any time I called for room service or the front desk, I had to call multiple times before my issue or request was resolved. It is interesting that management continues to write their apologies in response to these reviews, assuring that their customers’ experiences matter, but month after month the same issues seem to be happening.

Amazing! My daughter and I came from the airplane, very tired. So, we were delighted when we got checked in without issue. Our room was clean, and we slept very well. Then, we headed for lunch, and it was divine. Later, we went for dinner. Staff was amazing, and food was again delicious. This hotel is worthy of 5 stars. :)

Quirky, fun and full of some of the friendliest most hospitable staff you’ll ever meet anywhere, I great enjoyed my stay for the World Cup. There were lots of little friendly, details that made life very easy, big bottles of water in your room, complimentary drinks available in reception. My highlight was definitely chatting with everyone in the bistro every morning at breakfast time. I’m pretty sure Archie has a huge future in hospitality, he’s definitely a rising star.

Service was top tier. Food was good. The sales director Gabriel was more than helpful. But the real game changer was the house keeper staff.. always ready to help and keep the area and room clean no matter what time it is

My stay at M Grand Hotel Doha, Qatar was amazing. Everyone here was friendly and very attentive. I never found myself needing anything because they were always on top of my needs as a guest. Considering the hotel was full due to the World Cup, I felt like the staff made me their number one priority. I will definitely stay here if I ever come back to Qatar. Thank you for everything

I was put in this hotel by Qatar Airways as they delayed the flight but omg! It was the best delay to happen ! This hotel was so nice! The bathroom and the beds were phenomenal. It was so cosy and the view was super nice. But the best thing was the food. Oh my gosh. I wish I could live in Qatar for the rest of my life just so I could have this food again. The food was 10/10. Nothing quite like it. I wish to visit it again in the future. In Sha Allah. !

What a wonderful way to make up for a long delay. Missed the transfer flight and was allowed to stay at the Mercure Grand for half a day to relax before the late flight on. Staff were courteous and efficient and were incredibly friendly. Rooms were fantastic and food was delicious. Didn’t get to use the lovely pool and spa facilities…maybe next time! Thanks guys!

At its budget price point, this hotel is good. Clean rooms with all the basic facilities. Two decent dining rooms - an a la carte outlet on the 12th floor with a mix of western and asia food and La Brasserie on the 2nd floor that serves buffet meals. There’s a fitness room and a small swimming pool as well. Staff are efficient and courteous.

Don’t be mislead by their pictures. This hotel would be a 2 star (or less) hotel in Europe. Everything is so dirty: shower, floors, walls, elevators, tables at the restaurant, entrance halls etc. Qatar is absolutely not ready for FIFA 2022…

I booked a room at the Hotel for my brother, there were some changes to his flights but the team at M Grand were extremely patient and helpful. Special mention to Ayesha for being so helpful, attentive and always available to answer questions about the hotel. She made the experience easier, and took great care of my brother.

In general this place deserves more love. Yes it is an older hotel an a bit run down but the staff is super friendly, the food selection and taste is on a very good level and it it only a short walk to souq waqif from here. You will most likely end up in this hotel after you missed a qatar airways connection flight.

Had booked a room in the hotel 4 days in advance with Agoda booking app, with payment in advance. When I arrived at the booking date to the hotel, I was informed that there is no room available at the reception, and was told by the receptionist that it is not their problem. I was not informed in any way by the hotel or app that my booking is not valid. I would advise anyone to think twice before booking this hotel.

Had a lovely time with my friends along with their families @ Treffen house today. Service staff Rohan, Janies, Madushika, Nandi, Shantha were welcoming us & really helpful and supportive. F&B Cordinator Mr. Janaka McDonald took care of the coordination part of our gathering & gave his best in accommodating 25+ pax. All food items were very delicious & real value for money. Planning to visit again!
