My wife and I had a short stay as a layover on our trip from Sydney to Edinburgh. We didn't know what to expect but we're delighted with the service at the hotel. We wanted a light meal and were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast served to us as room service. We must specifically mention Selim in Customer Service, who went to great lengths to ensure we were happy with the meal and service overall. We would give him, alone, 5*s for service. We would recommend this hotel for convenience and service quality.

This hotel has always made a good impression on me since I first came here in Doha. I recently booked this hotel for our 2-day quarantine requirement and so far everything is going good. The room is clean. They have good food choices and set menus so you know what to expect for your meal. I have to say that they take good customer service very seriously. Unlike other hotels we stayed, we needed to call again and again to follow up on some requests. This hotel takes the initiative to call if you need something, checks on your experience and resolves your concerns in a timely manner. Amazing.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. For the price, I couldn't imagine a better place for my overnight layover on Qatar Airways. The staff was incredibly courteous and friendly, the hotel and my room were spotless, the interior is beautiful, everything was spot on.

Great experience here. Staff is polite and courteous. Hospitality is very good. It is located around 20 minutes from the airport. Rooms are large and well kept, however the lighting in the rooms could be improved. Highly recommended.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! RENOVATION IN PROGRESS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THE ROOM NEXT DOOR! !!!! Friendly lady at check-in, nice waiters at the restaurant, but for the comforts of a 5* hotel, and the response from management, it's far from standard! One-night stay to rest up before catching an early-morning long-haul flight. The choice of a 5* hotel is to find all the comforts necessary to live peaceful and memorable moments. And we did, when we were awakened late at night by several MASSIVE DRILLING SOUNDS in the wall of our room. I called reception who told me that other rooms had also reported it. They would investigate. We were so startled in our sleep that we couldn't sleep as the noise continued. At MIDNIGHT the noise was still persistent, from construction work, tiling, tools banging on the floor!!!! I called reception again to tell them I was leaving at 6am and hadn't slept a wink because of the noise. I was told they were RENOVATING the room next door!!!!! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?!!!!! I told them to stop immediately, which they did for a short time! UNWORTHY OF A 5* HOTEL! When I complained on my return from my trip, I was told that they recognized the facts, but that my mistake had been to continue my stay! No apologies were made, and worse still, they reproached me for continuing my night without offering to relocate us to another room, and above all, they made me take the blame! What nerve and lack of professionalism! As for a commercial gesture, dream on...ABSOLUTE SCANDAL! And please, stop with your generic answers...just blah! Take responsibility! The way you treat customers WHO PAY YOUR WAGES is disgraceful!

Perfectly pleasant hotel, with great facilities. Rooms are a little dated but functional, the showers are amazing! Pool area is clean and well maintained , the gym is huge. Breakfast is well stocked and presented, it’s a little confusing and chaotic when ordering anything from the chef , but the buffet is very good. This is a great hotel for a quick stopover. If you don’t want to pay for a taxi, it’s literally a 4 minute walk to the metro station which is 10 mins to the airport, very easy to navigate and highly recommend.

Always my go to place for food and relaxation. My friends and I celebrated and dine for Chines New Year. I like the very cozy ambience and wide space very comfortable to dine. The cellar and Choices restaurant are a must to visit. Located in Old airport Doha Qatar. It’s nearby to the Hamad International airport.

I had been staying here for the last 2 weeks on business, and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! I had been unwell before I came onto this trip and stayed unwell for the majority of my stay. The staff were incredibly accomodating and took the time to go the extra mile when they had noticed I was not feeling 100%. All the nerves I had from being away from home and sick easily went away, and my stay was not only an enjoyable experience, but felt like a home. I want to say a special thank you to Bhagat and Banialam, who had been looking after me almost every morning and ensuring I got what I needed. They also have a wonderful range of food at the hotel so if you don’t feel like going out, you still have plenty of choice. The service from all the staff has truly been exemplary ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel is beautiful.....loved the quiet room and black out shades. Shout out to Joseph in the gym/pool area, he was very friendly and made some great suggestions. In the deli/bakery area the woman working late at night was very friendly and offered some tasty suggestions as well. The staff working the entrance, both doormen and the security staff were friendly and very helpful with questions about using uber. Not alot within walking distance for shopping or restaurants outside of the hotel but Uber is very cheap in Doha.

This hotel is impeccable, from the top to the bottom. Highlights: customer service deserves 10 Stars, from mgmt, restaurant, cleaning staff, etc. just beyond excellent. My husband & I are globalists and stay at HR’s all over the world, and the Doha hotel supersedes them all. If you’re flying into Doha for business, this IS the place to stay, and believe me they think of everything, you will be treated like a King/Queen. Ex. When we arrived we had chocolate truffles, fruit bowl, 8 bottles of water & a bottle of wine. I mean in the U.S. we get 2 bottles of water, but nothing else… 10 stars is what I’ve give if I could🤩

Becareful before booking with this hotel. They have a strong no cancellation policy. Flight was canceled by my airlines and I therefore had to cancel my hotel stay. When I contacted the hotel, they had 0 sympathy for me as if it were my fault that my flight was cancelled. I never want to stay at a hotel were humans are not flexible, especially since there have been high volumes of flight cancellations with all airline’s recently. I had proof of my flight cancellation and they did not care. Becareful before you book with them especially if it’s for a large amount because they keep 100% of the proceeds. As if Hyatt isn’t a multimillionaire dollar hotel chain. They won’t catch me again.

Great 10 day Quarantine stay. Spaciousness and lighting of the room was great. Food though they had options of Western, Indian & Arabic- all tasted like they came out of the same kitchen/stock of products.

The rooms are on par with a three star hotel. Very basic, cracked tiles in the shower. While checking in, a few guests complained of a non-functioning AC unit. It's very close to the airport if you are just doing a stopover and there are Uber's constantly running around the area. I would not recommend the hotel for a long term stay.

Had a fantastic Iftar experience at Hyatt recently! The food was incredible, and the service was top-notch. It was a bit crowded though. The management team did an excellent job organizing everything in advance, and the attention to detail was impressive. Overall, it was a truly memorable evening, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to host a great dining.

We stayed here for a few nights and it was ok, but I wasn’t too impressed. In my experience elsewhere in the world, this would not be a 5 star hotel, more a 4 star. All staff was friendly (except for the supervisor at the breakfast buffet). However, first the door between the connecting rooms could not fully be closed, there was something stuck. I would expect of a 5 star hotel that everything has been checked and fixed before a guest checks in. Also the extra bed was of a bad quality, the spirals were at the surface, it was not possible to comfortable lay on this. The swimming pool was large and good, with free water offered at the pool, which was a nice extra. So overall an ok hotel but don’t expect a 5 star luxury feeling.

Their restaurants have a variety. The spaniard restaurant has a great menu for tapas and wine variety. The jazz club excellent place to listen to live music...recommend this place...only drawback is that is not close to the beach

Disappointed with @HyattRegency's response to a recent accident at their premises. Despite their clear liability in a guest's slip and fall incident, resulting in severe injuries, the management has refused to acknowledge responsibility or offer adequate compensation. This disregard for guest safety and well-being is concerning. #HyattRegency #GuestSafetyMatters"

Words cannot do justice to this glorious hotel. Let’s leave the expansive beauty of the place aside for a moment and focus on their craft. It’s guest experience. I stayed there for 2 whole months and in a matter of days, they learned what I like / don’t, and my stay grew ever-pleasant from then on. I couldn’t help but feel at home. I’m going to name a few absolute rockstars - Birendra in housekeeping, who performs magic with your room. Come back after a long day, and it feels brand new even after 2 months. - Tanpreet, Zeynab, Himanshu and Paulina at The Cellar, who not only welcomed me on most evenings, but never had to ask what I wanted to eat or drink. I walked in and things appeared telepathically on my favourite table. They are a special squad - people I will never forget. I consider them family. - Chaimaa and her colleagues at the reception who were incredibly responsive and flexible to everything I asked - even when I embarrassingly locked myself out of my room a few times and had to come over with a key to let me back in. Or when they were happy to accommodate my family without deepening my pockets. - Joseph, my amazing trainer at the gym. This dude knows what he is doing and can get you into shape within days. I highly recommend you follow his advice. (Don’t be fooled into doing extra reps with his charming and encouraging manner) - Siddique, whi in my honest opinion is the best massage therapist I’ve had in 10 years in this region. Explain your problem and he will find a way to alleviate it. He has a deep understanding muscle tone and blood flow. Trust him. - Breakfast buffet: the lovely Indian chefs (2 of them) who knew exactly how I liked my eggs, the hostesses who welcomed me and brought me coffee just how it should be. All without saying a word. And I wont forget the ever-smiling, ever ready gentlemen who received me outside my car, the security personnel who shook my hand and asked me about my day, every single day. This is testament to perfection. I love the place and their people. Wish I could live there forever.

My first impression was really good, the staff are excellent and they treat you really well. The room was very big and quiet, perfect for resting. When I woke up next morning I headed to the buffet breakfast which I pre-paid and it was amazing; there was so much choice and abundance I did not even know what to have or where to start. It is a pricey breakfast though, but there is no much around the area, which is a bit of a negative as you need to take taxis to go anywhere. The restaurants inside the resort were spectacular but very expensive. Alcohol prices are extortionate but understandable due to the nature of the country/religion. The hotel also had a souvenir shop, very reasonably priced, in case you do not have time for souvenir shopping before your flight back.

Hotel is located in one of the prime locations of Doha. Rooms are very well maintained. The only problem I faced during my stay was the connectivity issues with WhatsApp video/audio calling. The rest is fine and awesome.

Great experience, amazing service and food. Rooms are the best there is. Amazing customer service and support 24*7, Just call away from room. I loved the laptop/work table they have in room. In room dining was great as there's sofa and table, I was quarantined here before travelling to Canada. Photos are not the best as I took them when I was going to check out on day after.

Went for the mussels night on Tuesday in The Cellar. Great value, but something is wrong with the mussels: all shattered, must be some earthquake in the country of origin 🤔...? OR perhaps an expediting way to ensure all are getting opened... Not really beyond my seafood eating skills but unpleasant.

5star service for me.I did my 10days quarantine here at Hyatt Regency and I can honestly say that it's been a wonderful experience. The Staffs are very professional and friendly. They deliver healthy and delicious food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I would like to personally commend Mr.Gazi, one of the hard working Staffs from Hyatt. His passion, enthusiasm, and professionalism are highly commendable. He made my 10days stay at Hyatt really comfortable. Kudos to the whole Hyatt Team🙌 You guys are exceptional.

I stayed here for 14 nights and was travelling for business. All staff were polite and helpful. Housekeeping was good as was their laundry service. Their food quality and prices are pretty good so I ended up eating their most nights. The room was spacious and the WiFi was decent. Metro station was 5 mins walk so easy to travel to other parts of Doha. Will definitely stay again during another visit.

I stayed with them when this was Oryx Rotana. Didn't get a chance to stay once Hyatt took over. I liked it before. The rooms were decent. Nice and cosy bedding. Lack of modern tv channels though. Rest all is just as a hotel room should be. Has all essentials like slippers, hangers, iron, complimentary tea coffee etc.

  • 1/5 SL AP T. 2 years ago on Google
I have been using Oryx hotel for the last eight plus years for various services. Last two stays have been, as DQ welcome program. Services has declined beyond recognition. I checked-in and it is impossible to get through to the staff. Albeit, the stay is not normal, given the pandemic. I leave it to your imagination, as you read my feedback.. 1. Food was sent to my room 15 mins after I checked-in; And, it was palatable, but STONE-COLD. I requested to change my main and it was not handled well. 2. No glass for holding toiletry in the Vanity counter 3. Excessive amount of bath amenities, but no face towel. 4. Bed sheets and linen smell of stale food. 5. Corridors smell of left over food + sewage 6. Laundry bags missing, and when asked, a used laundry bag was provided. 7. Guest services and Room service do not understand requests 8. Telephone calls are not answered 9. Rooms are tired. 10. Couch cushions are ineffective, as they are microscopic. I generally do not review my stays, but was energised to write this review as I booked this stay based on my last stay not so long ago, and I am repenting that decision. Services provided are below par of a two star hotel.

Interiors are outdated (maybe even spooky), only few staff are friendly. Most of the Security staff are quite intimidating and not very welcoming. Smelly hallways too. :( Housekeeping and food server teams are lovely, thankfully! Food is okay. Gotta love the pancakes! Coffee is not bad. Construction right outside upon stepping out is quite a view ;)

A nice hotel. Staff was really nice and helpful. We arrived in Doha early in the morning and ask for the check in at 9 am and we got immediately an offer for a room even though the official check in was at 12 am. Really amazing service. The restaurant, the gym and the pool are really clean. It is approximately 15 min from the airport and 15 min to the downtown. We stayed at this hotel because we had a longer overlay at Doha, but next time we will stay longer.

So we only had a 27 hours layover in Doha (only 🤣), so we decided to stay off-airport and explore the city. This hotel was incredible! The location is perfect for a long layover, as it's only 15 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to the city center. I highly recommend the breakfast and the lunch buffets. OMG, is the food and selection incredible! Probably the best I've seen in the world (I know... very books statement, but accurate)! The staff are friendly and attentive and the gym/pool facilities are great. Honestly, I would stay there again just for the buffets 😉

I reserved a room at Hyatt Oryx Doha during my stopover with the Qatar Airways stopover. Pro: - Location is near the Airport. - Gym studio is nice and well maintained. - Friendly staff at the restaurant and the gym. - Big bedroom with big shower Con: - Breakfast menu can be more variable, unfortunately not many choices. - Check-in process, without asking, the check-in staff put me in the smoking room. As I checked-in the middle of the night and was really tired, I did not realise about the room. In the morning I asked the front desk to move me to a non-smoking room. Thank you for your quick response. I advise you to ask the hotel guests first before putting them in a smoking room. - I booked the room as part of Qatar Airways Stopover Package. The rules are quite clear. Check-in and Check-out are 24 hours. On the check-out day at 12:47 PM the front desk told me that I should leave the room. But after I had a quick chat with him, he suddenly understood the situation. Kindly please inform your front desk staffs, some of the guests have different reservations rules. I think everybody knows well that regular check-out is around 11 AM- 12 PM. However, my situation is different, I know well too about my rights and my check-out date/time (otherwise I will miss my flight).

Close to the airport, the Hyatt Regency Doha is a very solid choice for Hyatt members. The hotel may need to be renovated as some cracks were visible in the bathroom. Some things such as the light switches are outdated and hard to operate. The hotel shines in the food department. The breakfast is rich and offers a variety of high quality items. Their smoked salmon is excellent. Globalists have access to a lounge on the first floor that looks quite small for a hotel of this size. However the food on offer during cocktails hours is truly excellent. I rank the selection among the best I have experienced among most Hyatt Regency hotels I have tested so far. Staff is courteous an professional. Special thanks to Mr Habib who was really helpful and quickly solved an issue I experienced in the morning. Highly recommended.

Loved my stay at Hyatt Regency Oryx Doha. It was very luxurious. The Staff was very friendly. They attended and served to smallest of my needs. The room was neat, clean, and with all necessary accessories. The food buffet was complimentary. The food spread was the widest of all i have seen. I enjoyed the sweet delicacies as well as the variety of different global food items they served.
