I
stayed
at
Saraya
Corniche
Hotel
for
the
mandatory
5-day
quarantine
(May
20-25)
Worst
hotel
experience
by
far!
Definitely
shouldn’t
be
rated
as
a
5
star
hotel
(doesn’t
even
deserve
a
3
star
rating).
Air
conditioning
doesn’t
work.
It’s
just
a
(very
loud)
fan
that
lets
out
hot
air
into
the
room
(the
daily
temperature
in
Doha
is
reaching
mid-40s
Celsius).
Had
trouble
falling
asleep
because
the
room
is
very
hot,
and
the
AC
fan
is
very
loud.
Reported
it
twice,
nothing
done
to
fix.
Fridge
doesn’t
cool
properly.
Also
reported
(3
times).
Front
Desk
says
“they’ll
send
maintenance
right
away”
but
they
never
showed
up.
Water
doesn’t
heat
properly
in
the
shower,
and
the
shower
head
doesn’t
work
properly.
Showered
in
cold
water
for
5
days.
Food
options
are
limited,
and
the
food’s
not
good
to
begin
with!
I
ended
up
having
to
order
groceries,
most
of
which
went
bad
because
of
the
fridge
not
working
properly
(see
above)
Room
service
almost
never
answers,
or
the
line
is
always
busy.
Which
is
a
problem
because
you
have
limited
time
to
place
quarantine
meal
orders.
Found
used
and
broken
cutlery
(plastic
knives
and
forks)
under
the
bed.
Also
found
a
date
palm
and
other
small
bits
of
food,
and
saw
a
couple
of
ants
around
them.
Upon
arriving
on
the
first
day,
there
were
no
towels
at
all
in
the
whole
room
(or
robes
or
anything
like
that;
not
even
small
towels
for
hands/face).
Also,
no
q-tips
and
other
bathroom
amenities.
All
drawers,
cupboards
and
closets
need
fixing.
They
look
like
they’re
about
to
fall
apart,
not
to
mention
the
ones
that
already
do.
Wifi
and
hotel
phone
cut
off
for
the
better
part
of
a
day
(Sunday
22nd).
Was
literally
isolated
from
the
outside
world.
Couldn’t
connect
to
internet
(I
had
work
to
do
online),
and
couldn’t
reach
front
desk,
housekeeping,
maintenance,
or
any
other
representative
of
the
hotel.
After
all
the
calls
and
complaints,
it
wasn’t
until
day
4
(out
of
5)
that
I
spoke
to
the
manager
directly.
He
ended
up
moving
me
to
another
room
for
the
last
night.
Which
was
better,
but
not
by
that
much.
You’d
be
more
comfortable
if
you
sleep
on
the
sidewalk.
Wouldn’t
recommend
this
place
to
anyone.
