I gave 2 stars only because the staffs were soo good and the room was spacious. The internet was too slow and calling itself was very difficult. I stayed for 10 days for quarantine, I must say that the food was horrible 🥵. Breakfast was average, lunch and dinner were horrible. And if you are looking for hotel quarantine, please choose another hotel.

I give it a 4 only because the staff were good to us.It’s a Quarentine Hotel. My daughter&I were given a big room.Internet was fast enough. Breakfast was good.Lunch& dinner were horrible.I ate it only for 2 days.I had headaches& stomach pain.My 9 year old daughter said “I will starve but won’t eat that “!- clever girl, clever decision.I ordered groceries from Lulu & made her sandwiches, cup noodles, veg.salads and fruit platter. My husband bought us snacks & food(gave it in the reception).A friend also sent food for 2 days. So,I managed.Ordered just fruit platter& veg.salad for myself & omelette, white rice & milk for my daughter .Curries&Biryanis- too oily & spicy -not for people with a sensitive stomach. They have to put the smokers on a separate floor- we suffered ...also the bathroom stinks 😷 could not go in without a mask!!...

this hotel is not even deserve 1 star. they badly treated quarantine travellers. Waited for 2 hours for registration, food was pathetic , in 4 star hotel they have provided cheap 1 rs chinese plastic cup and plates to serve food ,extra oily and seems cooked a day before it was served. and they took 2 night charges but forced to leave immediately after breakfast next day. this is their so called rude hospitality. Overall i would give them negative rating.....

For the first time in my life a security guard in the hotel INSULTED my wife in the lobby and forced us to leave the lobby. The reason for it was she was sitting there for more than half hour. As we both where so upset we wanted to talk to the person incharge. But we waited more than an hour but the person incharge never showed up. So we left the hotel nothing but heavy harts. I am unable to say what the security said in here. Trust me when I say This was one of the worst experience I ever had.

Very poor rooms and service. The rooms are very old and smelly. Have not been cleaned properly. Service is abysmal. Housekeeping is non existent. I had asked for a double bed room and they gave me a twin bed.

The lady who was positioned to handle Guest relations (Ritchel) on 19/03/2023 had the worst customer service ever. She couldn't deliver a simple concern. I felt like the whole hotel is trained to treat the guests badly. The Philippines lady is an example of unfit to work in a hotel industry,I wonder who selected her!

How the hotel got 4 star is a surprise.. They should rate this hotel in negative… Stayed for a week and had to see the same menu for 7 days… Though complained to the management, it looked there is any difference. Reply is that chef decides the menu and you have to cop with it… You will get the same chicken sausage cut in different shapes each day. The same baked potatoes cut straight or round … and the chef will rearrange the position of dishes.. One day on left side and next day on right side. And it looks the sweet section and bread section will last for days the same stuff without replacement Run for your life if you have included the breakfast with stay…

Very disappointed. Especially with the poor behaviour of receptionist Champa. The hotel is a 5 star still they don’t even provide creamer for tea. receptionist Champa was so rude she denied everything. Can’t provide creamer, housekeeping not picking up call , asked her to look into the matter she says she’s too busy. Denied late checkout. She could have been polite with us but she was so ill mannered, haven’t had such a bad experience.

Very poor Customer Support specially one Filipino Staff (Miss Adeline). The staffs are all very good but this one staff is very rude while on all and very non-supportive. This makes me not to Chose Grand Regal again. Please take necessary actions. If you(Management) want proofs please email me I'll give more details.

The Grand Regal Hotel in Qatar is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a luxurious yet budget-friendly stay. The spacious rooms were tastefully decorated and featured all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including a cozy bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The hotel's perfect location made it easy to explore the city, with many attractions within walking distance. The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and gym, were well-maintained and added to the overall enjoyment of the stay. The Grand Regal Hotel offers luxury amenities and services without breaking the bank. It's a great value for the price and a perfect choice for those who want to enjoy the best of Qatar without spending a fortune. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay in Qatar.

Booked into this place by Qatar Airways. Hotel very noisy and the food quality shockingly poor. Chicken was raw and not safe to eat in my opinion. The lady at the front desk seemed highly agitated.

  • 5/5 Zachary C. 9 months ago on Google
Note: I managed to stay here for free as my layover with Qatar Airways was longer than 9 hours, so I cannot vouch for the affordability of the hotel. Nevertheless, my experience here was great. The staff were friendly and attentive to my needs, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable as well. There was also a buffet restaurant on the top floor with decent food at a reasonable cost. Overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again if I have another long layover in Doha.

Services poor than 3 star hotel Stayed in Grand Regal Hotel for 4 nights. Services are very slow. During check in, they didnot have my details, which they found out after giving my booking paper. Surprisingly Swimming pool time starts at 10 am. Which tourist will go for swimming at 10 am. Tourist come to roam around in doha in day time. Not for swimming in day time. And it's a very small pool and dirty water. Housekeeping doesn't replenish shoe shiner. Had to request them for shoe shiner. Intercom phone was not working. Torned carpet on the sides. They took around 20-30 minutes for taking luggage and in checkout process. How come Doha Tourism has given 5 star to them? Should not give more than 3 star

We checked in because we had a 28 hour stopover, and the person at reception, her name was Champa, made us wait for over 30 minutes at the time of check in and was utterly rude and unprofessional. She rolled her eyes at us when we asked her how long it would take as we had someone coming over to pick us up, and all she had to say was that it will take time. She extremely unfriendly and honestly made the experience of the hotel 10x times more horrible. Rooms smelled of cigarettes. Cockroaches in the bathtub, and shady people all around! Would never stay here again.

Currently staying at the grand regal courtesy of Qatar Airlines due to storms/delays/missed flights. The staff at the hotel got the brunt of fed up travellers after 10-12 hours shambles at the airport. The staff here have been absolutely fabulous, none of the delays or anything was there fault and they handled it amazingly, i felt so bad for the abuse they were getting, it was not ok. My phone had stopped working and a member of staff let me use his phone to make an international call to let my daughters dad know where we were. So greatful to every member of staff, the beds have got to be one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, everything is clean, windows nearly full wall length for great views and there is so much going on in the hotel. Thanks alot to the hard working staff for a nice clean, cosy place to rest up before a long journey home

My stay at the Grand Regal Hotel in Doha was outstanding. Its prime location allowed easy access to the Corniche, the stadium, and Souq Waqif. Quick room service, smooth check-in, top-notch amenities like a gym, swimming pool, and spa, made my stay comfortable. Despite not having a front room, the extraordinary city view compensated for it. The hotel's exceptional dining experience added to the overall delight. Highly recommended for explorers in Doha!

The worst stay ever. It's not a 5 star hotel at all it is a lodge. Just checked out today. The receptionist named Champa made us wait for the Check-in coz she was busy with her own work. She asked us to wait for 30mins and was very rude. We wanted to change our hotel but couldn't do so coz we had already paid for our hotel through discover Qatar. The elevator and the room smells full of cigarettes. The kettle was broken and the worst thing is there were cockroaches in the room. The hotel is not good for a staycation. Will never recommend this hotel. Bad place.

Had to stay in this hotel because our flight was delayed. Rooms were comfortable to sleep, that's it. Nothing else about this hotel says it's five star.

I stayed here because my airline caused me to miss my layover. The airline and I both requested a 4;00am wake up call. At 4;20 my phone woke me up. When I called the front desk about the breakfast options and to find out what happened to my wake up call they said they had been busy so they didn't call. Breakfast was cooked up weenies, 2 boiled eggs and for tired of bread/pastry that I specifically asked to not be on my plate because I cannot have gluten. The bed was comfortable and the room was cold so the 4 hours of sleep I got was nice.

Nice hotel 20 min from Hamad Airport! Very friendly staff! Clean rooms great breakfast Although the room I was staying or the floor to be specific smelled like smoke from cigarets! I don’t know maybe it was for people who smoke! But this has not affected my stay in the hotel! Thanks Grand Regal Hotel👍🏻

Stayed here for quarantine for 10 days. Rooms are good, equipped with good amininities and facilities. Staff were very polite and helping. Only problem was with food. They serve only one kind of food for quarantine people. Even if the menu has lot of dishes, the serve rice either with non veg (some days chicken and some times fish) or veg. Tried the veg food once and it was really bad. Breakfast is ok. But overall experience with the food was bad. Over all experience was satisfactory when not considering the food.

The rooms are old; our curtains didn’t work well. The rates are outrageous. The staff is nice enough. The immediate vicinity isn’t nice, but at least it’s close to better areas.

We’ve been waiting 40 min to check in. We have one of the larger room so I guess they are cleaning it. In all fairness check in is at 4 PM and we were about 30 minutes early, but there was no communication whatsoever about the wait time. Like Hey, you should drop your stuff off and go explore a while we get the room ready. Definitely shouldn’t come here with the same expectations of service that we would from the USA. I guess I’m a bit spoiled, but I am going to reset my expectations and go with the flow. I will update my review upon completion of my stay at the hotel.

This hotel is an unfortunate experience for me, disrespectful receptionist poor management and even due I've paid for breakfast for 2 room they are telling us because they don't have enough customers they wouldn't be able to serve the breakfast but they can't refund the money, not for the breakfast and not the rooms so we can be able to leave this place, and about the internet its so slow and nothing more can be wrong here to ruine your vacation.

A bit dated, and it needs maintenance. Also the carpet had stains and we could smell cigarette smoke in the corridor outside our room although it was a non smoking floor.

Poor service for quarantine guest I personally advice you not to book this hotel as their services are very poor. 1. I had to order the food from out site for all 3 meals, The food they provide not that good 2. When you order food from out side, they keep it in the reception for hours without delivering it on time (Delay until you call and remind them) 3. Staff keeps on ringing your door bell for hours until you come out and check what? I am not sure why they practice that as long as you have phone to inform if there is any urgent 4. They do not have window to open - You have to stay in closed rooms without out side air (It was 10 Days)
