First of all when we called to book a reservation, the staff was very rude. I thought this was supposed to be a part of a 5 star hotel? Second of all, the music was horrible. We wanted to book a cabana or whatever they call them but they said all of them were full yet I see some that are obviously unoccupied. The one thing that really gets me is that they’re all so rude and cheap to their customers, it’s not even funny. We ordered shots of tequila and they gave us small shot glasses filled with HALF A SHOT of tequila each. If you think that I’m lying, I will post the exact picture I took below. Oh and by the way, this used to be a good place to chill at and me and my friends used to come here all the time but when we came back here on friday (December 3rd) it was horrible. They overcharge you for half a shot glass of tequila. We honestly thought it was a joke. Will never be coming back here again and will tell all my friends not to come back here as well. Do not waste your money here as there are a lot more places in Doha with professional staff that don’t treat their customers like this. Would have given no stars if that was an option here.

It was my first time here. I made a reservation prior to my arrival there. We were given table near the sea, but we requested to change it to the other side since the table and chair was slanted. It was extremely uncomfortable since I have lower back pain. I informed the staff about changing the table to another on which is flat and not slanted about 3-4 times but they kept ignoring. I spoke to 5 of the staffs about it but they said they’ll let us know and ignored it. What is the point of having such a massive good looking infrastructure and the worst staffs? I have been to all of the Qatar’s 5 star restaurants, bars and hotels and spent 2k+ riyals, I can easily say that this is the worst experience I have ever had in Qatar among all of those highly rated places. To be more precise, the receptionists in the monkey tale are the worst with intolerable behaviour. I am never coming here again. I wanted a peaceful place for me and mates to chill after work but that was ruined by your staffs at monkey tale. If we didn’t leave sooner, we would’ve spent at least a 1-2k riyals that night. Wow. Just wow. Horrible service. It was like I was at my 4 year olds tea party. Service was non existent, drinks invisible and food was from the fridge. Trying to pay for anything was like travelling to a foreign country, impossible in this covid climate. Its almost like they should come up with a concept where you can walk up to a place, order a drink, then pay for said drink. That would almost make sense... anyway, the frustration isn't worth your time

Place is nice, but service needs a serious improvement. I don't know if it is because of covid19 restrictions (yesterday was my first time there) or what, but they messed up two times the drinks we ordered (I end up having something different just not to wait again), the waiting times were too long and beers not cold enough. And then they did a mistake with the bill. Really, improve the service and the place will be much better, because the facilities are great. PS: I came back. Well, service was less chaotic (no messed up bills this time), but very unpolite and far from professional. I am afraid that I cannot give anything above 1 star.

Really love this place! Monkey tale is a true gem in Doha. Beautiful and spectacular. The ambience, the music and environment is all perfect with its dream catcher decoration, surrounded in a garden and by nature, the perfect light setting and amazing service.

Love the beach vibe of this bar with the beach in the background. The quality of the sounds is amazing and a very good place to chill and hang out. One of my favorite places in the Pearl area.

Where do I start! First didn’t note our reservation, got there and they played dumb (Typical). Then told us we could sit at the bar. Got to the bar and bartenders said we could not sit nor order drinks at the bar we had to to have a table…wait what? Then why the hell would she tell us to sit at the bar. Very nice restaurant with Bar that turns into a night "club" in the evenings. The hotel itself provides stunning views of the water and the landscaping is beautiful. The Monkeytale itself gets VERY crowded so reservations are a must if you plan on going with a large group or else you will be standing, or sitting in the back away from all the action and DJ Booth. The live Dj is great and plays a Rap/HipHip mix of all the latest hits. During the day, you can eat, drink and swim in the gulf water. Day or night, it's a blast. If you come at night, dress to impress and bring Rial to tip your servers.

We were with one group and they didn’t let one of the group to get in cause he didn’t have his physical passport with him, everywhere he was able to enter with digital copy I won’t recommend it if you are visitor!! The Indian lady at the entrance was very unfriendly!! Don’t waste your time there!!! There are other nice places to hang out in Doha

Clean beach bar, Food is good, cocktails are light, shisha is good but a bit overpriced, they have showers and give you towels, its a little tricky to reach no signs and far from parking, over all the atmosphere is good, could be better organizing wise.

The worst place in Doha I must say, with unprofessional staff with Lott of attitude, first thing is they never ever answer the calls when u want to make a reservation. After multiple calls they get back to u just to say sorry sir we are fully booked.. there are much more better places to party in Doha comparing to MONKEY TALES. My advice to all the party people in Doha avoid going to this place, Lott more better place’s with good vibes and great ambiance with reasonable price with NO ATTITUDE.it’s not the only place more party places coming up with good line up of international DJ,s … cheers.

This used to be a good place to go, but the service has fallen. We waited over 90 minutes for a drink at a cabana, tried to get drinks at the bar and were told we needed to order from the table. Went up three times to tell them no one is coming and we just wanted some drinks. The sent someone over and we ordered … 30 minutes later still no drinks. Finally left and went elsewhere. Worst service and experience in Doha - do not go!!!

The place is decent, good music and nice atmosphere, but a bit expensive. The sea area is not great as the bottom is not really sand but feels mushy and dusty. Only one shower on sand and once showered you need to step through san again getting yourself soiled up again before you can step on concrete.

We liked the atmosphere, very chill🍹. The service was good and quick. The fire show was great. 🔥The only downside is that swimming was not allowed❌, and the weather was hot. Having no access to water made it unpleasant at one point😓.

Arrogant staff. Very unprofessional and bad communication amongst staff members. I made a booking for 10pm and called them as I knew my friends and I would be late. I arrived first, got in and my friends came after. On the phone call, the receptionist or host reckons that we can arrive at any time no problem. I got there and got in with about 6 other friends. Booked for 15. When my friends arrived after me they reckon oh they can't come in. Security tells my friends that the place is full. Meanwhile, i booked for 15 and 2 of my friends left early. After saying they full and letting my friends stand outside for like 20min, they then say that it's too late to enter. Gate is now closed. I speak to the receptionist and tell her hey but we still have space for some people, 2 of my friends left and we were not 15 inside to start with. She says ok we can let 8 people in then. I go to the gate and see my friends walk away because the security had told them no entry. I go back to her and ask why did he just tell them they couldn't enter? She says oh its late, there is nothing I can do. Security says gates are closed. At this time they prob had my friends standing outside for 30min and then they left. I have a few words with the staff, very unprofessional. Security tells me I can report him if i want to. Did not get his name. He was not wearing a name tag. Did not get the name of the host or receptionist either. Will get those names soon though and speak to management about this. Good place to chill but bad experience with staff and this is not the first time. They also get their bookings mixed up sometimes . I would make a booking on whatsapp and call to confirm and they would say oh there is no booking for that day by you. Advice: have one person deal with bookings on WhatsApp and on calls, because clearly there is no recording of bookings on WhatsApp for some reason. Awesome, but needs pest control couple of rats....but love it still great view. 24th May 2023, very gorgeous restroom renovation completed clean and beautiful. Awesome music is currently still my favorite spot in Qatar....still pricey but can't say worth it as I think it's only location prices. Had a basic burger added chess on extra cost yet slightly undercooked but ok with me since I love medium rare. Since this is my Qatar favorite spot will need to review 19h00 until 24h00.

was here few weeks ago before Christmas with friends.. we had reservation but even our time of booking is not yet over,one of the server/staff is keep on coming back to our table and asking us to leave. ambience consider it as the best one facing a beach,happy hour menu is good as well.

The sound system is ridiculous, they think it's a concert for 10.000 spectators, loud as hell. You can't even have a conversation. Warm beer. We tried the tuna+rice cracker starter, the tuna was older than us. Sliders were good.
