Went there today , costumer service was amazing and were very kind and helpful …but honestly in my opinion I did not like the exhibition one bit frankly I found it pretty lame …the “art” pieces idea were too far fetched for me to even consider it art rather then some stupidity. Costumer service was amazing tho hence the one star . wouldn’t recommend going

Nothing much to write home about. You may not enjoy this place that much unless you're an art aficionado. It's an erstwhile fire station converted into an art gallery and retaining its original name. The courtyard is spacious with a popular cafe and there's also a good-looking arts and crafts store that seems to be well stocked. I saw the KAWS exhibition here, but didn't feel it was great. Not worthy of the QR 25 per head ticket price even after the 50% discount for Qatar residents. They should have made it free. The exhibition had a small gallery space and it was spread over two rooms at different locations on premises. The artist, Brian Donnelly, made a few teddy bear-like figures in various poses which wasn't droolworthy in my opinion. The nearest car park is the Al Bidda South underground car park, a short walk away.

Visited the Virgil Abloh exhibition, Figures of Speech. Interesting viewing and it was great to learn of his inspirations. The rest of the exhibit was closed which meant after the exhibition there wasn't much else to do.

I was inspired by the Jedariart art work at the walls of the fire station. Beautiful work by different artists of Qatar. The sculpture at the entrance, the central pillar, wall pairings are all very well done. Good to see for any at enthusiast. Looking forward to see the other murals in and around Qatar.

(Translated by Google) It is a place with very interesting proposals when it comes to the world of art. It has a large and beautiful store of raw materials for artists (paints, papers, brushes, markers, etc.), although it is not the cheapest you can take a walk there. I attended some talks and workshops where I was able to verify that the facilities are very comfortable and the staff who work there are more than friendly. The last exhibition I saw in his gallery were pieces by Kaws and I remember that you had to pay to enter that sector. It also has a very comfortable, bright cafeteria where I ate some delicious burritos.

The Fire Station is a beacon of creativity that sets the example of promotion of art in the GCC and all Arab countries. The exhibitions by the exceptional curatorial team are thought provoking and are an incredibly clear example of the Qatari ability to project soft power and influence through creative endeavors. Highly recommended stop during your visit to Doha.

Potentially a fab place! Great location - leading onto Bidda Park. Stunning views outside of the Corniche. Only a couple of exhibitions open inside when we went, we thought that there would be more use made of the buildings. Gift shop had awesome choices aside from art supplies - similar options to the children's gift shop in National Mueseum of Qatar.

Old Fire Station of Doha converted to an Arts and Cultural Center with galleries, TV studios, restaurants, etc There is also a big Art’s supply store close to the galleries. It is located close to the FIFA Fan Festival, in the opposite side of the Corniche entrance. During Qatar22, exhibitions of Al Jazeera TV at the main building and of Qatari artist Yousef Ahmad at Al Markhiya Gallery. Also resident artists exhibitions: - From____To_____ (water/sky/land) - Arwa Al Neami: Art is not a race - Note to self

  • 4/5 Ulises B. 6 months ago on Google
Beautiful museum! It's interesting to see this old and small building coexisting with Doha's skycrapers. My recommendation is to check what's being exhibited before going because your experience will depend mostly on what's being exhibited at the moment and if you're interested in it.

  • 5/5 Vicki “Lina” G. 5 months ago on Google
Fire Station Museum is where a good part of the new Visual Art creative energy in Doha happens. It allows for trendy, upcoming art exhibitions, annual group exhibitions of artists in residency and panel discussions on art. As the name says it is situated in an old fire station, refurbished to host various exhibition spaces set around a plein filled with murals to the brim. There is a lovely coffee shop which is as trendy and creative as the museum. It's more of a contemporary avante garde space than a museum truth be told, and the sense of the space is giving young, upcoming artists an opportunity and space to exhibit and grow. Great energy and artistic vibrancy.
