We ordered Chilli Idli and thy gave Kerala style Chilli masala. When we asked the chef he dont know Idli chilli he said we are making only with red chilli. No capsicum at all. And to make it worse thy gave yogurt onion raita with it like thy are giving chicken kerala roast.

Not upto the mark of other restaurants in Saravana Bhavan restaurant chain. They are missing in authenticity. Chennai restaurants are doing fantastic and Qatar branches has to reach that. Because there are n number of people who love the taste of real Saravana bhavan..

Not like the restaurants in Chennai... its quite average in taste and service and they charge a premium for all the foods... I didn't like the taste of Dahi vada and their lunch meals... which tastes way better in Chennai...

The food was good and tasty. There was a ample space of sitting area where you can order and enjoy your meal. There were other outlets too of different varieties/cuisine to taste. The taste of the food is awesome.

Authentic south Indian vegetarian dishes are available there in really Great taste. I was not really satisfied with their service and ambience. Felt a bit expensive for even middle class people. I love tea very much, So for me the tea served over there is really good in taste but less in quantity and expensive.

We had masala Dosa and dipped vada. Dipped vada was horrible on that day, seemed like prepared many hours earlier and was not cooked inside. Masala Dosa also was not good.

It is a counter service for Saravana chain in safari mall. Ghee roast was delicious... Although bit expensive compared to other south Indian hotels in Doha.

We really liked masala ghee dosa from here. We have also tried pani puri, instead of potato stuffing they had put sprouts, which I didn’t liked.

Food not up to the mark. Ordered for a Mysore masala dosa and got a potato filled soggy dosa. Nowhere near Mysore masala dosa. The management should taste the food before putting it on the menu.

Legitimately the best restaurant around Qatar. Doesn’t matter what I get I end up liking it. My partner and I have been eating here for a few years now. They make the Gee pongal for breakfast and probably the best sweets I’ve had.

I recently dined at a Saravana Bhavan and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of flavors and spices that delighted my taste buds. The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with attentive staff who were happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had. The menu had a good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, catering to a range of dietary preferences. Additionally, the restaurant had excellent hygiene standards, making me feel safe and comfortable while dining. Overall, I highly recommend this South Indian restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful cuisine in a welcoming and hygienic environment."

It was an ok experience, is all. We ordered rava dosa and masala dosa. Both were ok in taste but weren't hot and crisp. Dosa must be crispy. At least we like it hot from tawa and crispy throughout. We ordered lemon juice and tea, that too were hmm ok types. Overall, not that wow experience, just a meh..

Whenever I wish to eat pure veg south indian food, I straight away drive to one of the saravana bhavan branches in Qatar. Veg meals is something out of the world available here. Variety of Chutney and sambar is special here. Totally awesome

Good place for South India food located inside Safari mall. Very nice space, quiet. Service prompt and friendly. Food was excellently prepared; wide vegetarian selection. Personally, I think the best in Doha. This is an authentic south Indian food restaurant. They do serve North Indian dishes but as the name suggests South Indian dishes are more preferable. Ambiance is casual but nice and clean since the renovation. The best deal is the lunch which includes a few Punjabi items to get your fix. Some of my favorite items including the South Indian mean, vada sambar, and dosa. Excellent location, Good service, very rarely the will ve Long wait but its a very popular spot for many Indians to eat. I found the food to be of very good quality. There was no need to wait for cutleries or replenishing of any item. The place is neat and clean. Badusha salad and other sweets were absolutely delicious. We would readily recommend this place. There’s always plenty to choose from, the food is fresh, the atmosphere is hip and the staff are friendly and attentive. I’ve been back many times and never disappointed. Friendly staff and good hospitality, prices actually good for the variety of food. This is by far the best vegetarians Indian food I have ever tried. Wonderful depth of flavors! Will definitely be back.

It's inside of the safari mall food court. It's small shop but taste wise good and quantity is also good. Price wise little bit expensive Bec of its in mall, may be high. One dosa -9 riyal and coffee is 7 riyal. If we getting rarely price is ok. Chutney it's not like in Tamilnadu taste. Service is good and we get the food our own languages. It's token system based on token we must take the food from the table. They providing the water so if we dont wanna buy the water bottle u can get the glass of water from them. Please find the picture to share my love.😋😍

If you don't expect dame taste as with same chain India, then our go to place for vegetarian south Indian fare. Moderately priced, good simple food is the key. They do offer thalis and north Indian as well as Chinese food Indian style but we visit them for South Indian food & it doesn't disappoint us.

  • 1/5 Anand s. 1 year ago on Google
The Ghee Roast they served was so dry and It was like 'Pappad'. And the man who making dosa says that dosa is made like papad. Dosa was just beaking to fine pieces when evn touched and couldnt eat any of it. Such a bad and arrogant behaviour from the cook/service guy.

  • 2/5 sajitha f. 2 years ago on Google
Rude attitude from the staff at the counter... The guy who was taking order made insulting gestures. You are not giving free food. Must be polite.. else no one will be ready to Order. Food also was not served properly.

Today we went here and asked them that chilli parrota is available??? They said yes so we ordered I checked the bill they mentioned as mix veg parrota. I asked my husband y they mentioned like this , he said that they will mention like that and will give chilli parrota. After I got my order I was shock it’s not chilli parrota it’s something else. Ok may be taste be same. But it’s not at all nice. We wasted our precious money there. They can tell us directly that chilli parrota is not there but mix veg parrota only available. They lied to us and cheated. This is not a first time I disappoint in Saravanan bhavan.

This review is based on my experience of having a normal poori and a chai. I don't know if the below rating is same for other dishes. I think it's overpriced. Chai was good but it cost 5 riyal, poori was ok, and it cost 12 riyals. For this cost it is not worth. The only thing that I loved was the chutni. I felt the real south Indian taste. Maybe their other dishes might be out of this world, but I haven't had the chance to taste them.

  • 1/5 Mohammad B. 1 year ago on Google
Not good, only plain dosa, ghee dosa can be tasted, but other stuff it's normal local roadside taste... And the price it's not at all worth.. Overall not satisfied..

  • 1/5 Sandeep R. 1 year ago on Google
Mendu Vada was very bad Dosa was very average Chola bhatura was the worst For the price, Vasanta Bhavan is any time better, also they serve mini Tiffin which is very satisfying. Please avoid unless you have nothing to eat.

I feel the price is quiet high... The ambience we are getting is a crowded food court..taste of the food is very good, the crispiness of the dosa was very nice... Other than the price, everything was good...
