Fantastic place to have South Indian food - we had South Indian thali and felt like homely food. This place was not busy on Friday afternoon whilst other places were horrible. Parking available front and backside of the restaurant. Both side access door available. Sorry to not to include front entrance.

Had a grate dining experience, staffs are very friendly and especially Mr. Sundarapandi Yan one who look after the branch treated in a way like family member. Awsome experience and strongly recommended to visit anyone.

Pathetic taste. Nothing special. Dosa was just below normal with High pricing. Filter coffee for 7qar - even any local coffee shop coffee is better than that. Also, their Management did NOT Allowed to Pray SALAH there even after multiple request. There was much vacant area, still.

Initially it was a great restaurants (in terms of food , the place was always pretty small) I am a great fan of Saravanan Bhavans ( through out the world, specially Chennai ) .... But.... Today as I ate the food I felt disgusted and immediately regretted ordering... The service was horrible just one person and he couldn't speak any language besides Hindi... The washroom was a mess .... In this era of Corona they must atleast ensure cleanliness.... But the worst of all was the food ... I FOUND A HAIR IN MY DOSA.... I wanted to ask the manager about it but unfortunately there was no one to even complain to ... So all I could do was pay the cheque and leave .... Don't believe the hair story ? This South Indian restaurant in Qatar is among the finest for vegan food. Foods are always of high quality and pleasing to the palate. Despite often frequenting other branches, this was my first visit. Most of their dishes were ones I tried. My all-time favorite food combination is a Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee.

Recently opened and was out 1st dine out after Lockdown, was an unexpected plan. Was worth it, Idli Dosa Vada Upma all were equally yummy with the Chutney and even better Sambhar. Definitely a come back place.

Visited new Salwa Branch recently.. New look and wonderful ambience.. Spacious parking available on backside of restaurant as the front side is always busy (because of various car service showrooms nearby)!! Since it’s a new branch & we went non-peak hrs it’s not much crowded.. As the varieties of food they serve more, superb friendly staff helped us to have special varieties of Dosa they recently introduced in Qatar!! It was so delicious 😋.. Highly recommended to visit & taste it.. we also had SB’s authentic sambar (mini) idli.. Finished our great dinner with wonderful coffee!! Amazing food!!

Saturday morning at 9 it is jam packed, and why not? Delicious food and especially their oil free gooye Upma is worth relishing again and again.

One of the famous Indian Vegetarian restaurants in Qatar. Comparitively smaller than other branches but well arranged seats. Washrooms and toilets available. Parking space available. Food has kept the usual quality of Saravanabhavan. Servise is very good by the waiters.

The food was just okay , but it’s not worth the price . The gobi manjurian smelled odd, but the paneer butter masala was okay. Tali was also average

It's located in a busy area full of shops related to car detailing works. You have to be careful not to miss it. The entrance is small. But there's reasonable space inside. The tables are placed too close which can be problem for people to move in and out. It's an open kitchen. Parking can be an issue. Food was really tasty. Ambience is average.

Best place for an authentic South Indian breakfast or lunch. Went there for breakfast. Ordered podi ghee masala dosa, rava masala dosa, puri and mini idli with sambar. All the items tasted good. On the way home, we bought some sweets and savory as well. Their jangry was best, just the way I used to like in India. Badusha was also delish.

The dosa and chutneys are decent here, I feel its always fresh. The service could improve though, the staff are not too friendly, they seem overworked always.

Good clean restaurant, food tast good but price wise costly

Friendly staff. Good food. Prices are on the higher side. However one single dish is enough clubbed with a filter coffee to satisfy your hunger.

There's not much space inside. But the food maintains the regular Saravanaa Bhavan standards..

Authentic South Indian food, first choice Sarvanaa Bhavan. Salwa Road branch has good capacity to accommodate 50 people. Service is little slow as it is crowded on weekends, cleanliness & hygiene is good. If you go after 9.30 PM normally less crowdy and you can get parking easily on the front side else backside parking is also available. Need a bigger waiting area for customers. But overall food is good location is perfect also. Staffs are good. Enjoy the food.

Not worth for money. Very pricey . Menu rates are something and served more and charged more. I ordered Idli wada rate was around 8/9 riyals, pieces not mentioned , he gave me 2 Idlis and 1 wada. But charged 13 riyals. Whoever goes to this restaurant, please make sure it's clear for your order. That's my experience.

Last Friday I visited and enjoyed South Indian Masala Dosa. Really home made taste, and they are maintaining really quality food and hygienic atmosphere. They charge you extra for take-away's and not transparent about it. It's not mentioned anywhere in their menu pamphlet (not as of today that I was able to identify it) and when your are at the counter to pay the bill they end up telling you about it.

Saravana Bhavan is a brand, reknown south-indian veg cuisine in one go. The food's quality is a thumbs up, a bit pricey though. Dosa varieties are just wow, a must try for all vegetarians out there. However, the service is a disappointment.

Absolute worst experience. We went a bit late and there was rush because of the weekend so its understandable. First of all the staff didn't even ask for our order for atleast 20 minutes. Finally when the staff came we ordered. People working don't even have the courtesy to tell us that they have exhausted todays stock.. After 30 minutes again the waiter comes and says that there is no stock please order something else. Absolutely worst service. Please don't be fooled to think its an Indian restaurant so why not just go for it... go to places where there is better service! Wish I could give this 0 stars but that was not possible.

The supervisor needs to learn some manners in the hotel and mind the way he talks to the other staff, I was greeted nicely, I had no problems whatsoever, But the waiters and cooks in are being verbally abused and treated badly by the Supervisor who wears spectacles. Wouldnt suggest. 👎

Very bad experience. We waited for more than 30 minutes before someone came to take our order. After about 30 more minutes we noticed that customers who came after us were being served. After waiting for more than an hour we decided to leave. It ruined our weekend. Will never ever go to sarawana bhawan nor order online.

Ambience was good.. I ordered idly and Mysore masala dosa idly was ok.. But masala dosa disappointed me very badly.. They served some soggy sweet taste dosa. But I had same dosa in another branch by morning that was great.. My suggestion is go by morning or brunch

I've been having breakfast from here since my childhood and it's nearly around 8 or more years. And I'm still excited to go there every time my dad says 'let's have breakfast from sharavanaa....' And it's always a part of good memories for most of the GCC kids or kids from anywhere.... I mentioned kids because I've entered adulthood on few years ago. 😁

Loved by South as well as North Indians in Qatar for its lovely Dosas, delicious chuttnies, crispy vadas and aromatic Sambhar!! The restaurant has ample parking space, quick service and a friendly staff. I loved the freshly juices, especially orange.

The casheir is the only person taking order and delivering the food that too without scooper( spoon) . I saw him putting idli through his hands without scooper and also collecting cash through hands. Not at all hygiene.

We ordered ghee roast and plain dosa.. dosas were not crispy at all.. Also the coconut chutney was not good.. They have significantly reduced the quality of the food compared to before.. The service was mediocre.
