I visited this hospital due to a knee pain. They said I have a torn meniscus and need surgery costing QAR 35K. There was a visiting doctor Romain Seil who said while he is operating he will be sure of the cause of the pain and will be able decide at that time only. He said maybe he will not do anything and close up and I just have to trust his judgement. Their statements did not give me any confidence and I took the images and consulted to another doctor in my home country. This doctor told me that the lower section of my patella is anatomically larger than usual and high stress and overuse due to exercise caused an inflammation. He reviewed my workout routine and identified the exercises which might cause the stress and advised alternative exercises to move the stress from my knee to my quadriceps. I followed his advice and after 2 weeks I was knee pain free.

You will be very lucky if you phone and get through, they never answer the phone. However, if you're lucky and you do get through the first thing they try and do is pass you on to another department while you're still talking to them! You can phone and get passed around 3 or 4 times to finally get to a department where they don't answer the phone or hang up on you while the conversation is still going on! This is a review of one star only for the admin, the medical treatment seems to be good so far. Expensive, not insurance friendly but fine so far. Admin staff in Aspetar does not know anything about insurance and is not at all willing to support your claim to your insurance.

Got one appointment which was surprisingly quick! The doctor was very rude. Refused to listen to any complaint other than what I literally have mentioned on the phone while booking! She requested an MRI scan that was booked 1 month later without any note about the cost which I was later told to be QR2000! For 1 knee. Was not a good experience. Will not go there again.

They rarely answer. I finally booked an appointment and went there for the first time. They seemed welcoming, except that Arabic lady at the reception desk seemed easily irritated when I mistook the doctors name. She doesn't possess basic mannerisms. The doc. told me to see him in two weeks time to ensure that my condition is better. He also told me to get physical therapy sessions to strengthen my condition. So I went to book sessions for that and they told me I should be one the waiting list. What? I wasn't expecting this. It's been a week since I saw the doctor and they still haven't notified me about the physical therapy sessions. Smh. Tottaly unreliable. If you have the time in the world to deal with them then go ahead.

The reason for three stars is that doctors are truly amazing but getting an appointment is really a nightmare! I have been trying to get follow up appointment for three weeks now and my job depends on this, however it has been impossible..Always being informed to call after a few days and then the schedule is closed and like that all over again..For the sake of your patients please work on this 🙏🏻

The hospital has a high level of talk and distinguished services. I would like to thank Sister Ibtisam from the pre-operative clinic department for her kind treatment and assistance to me during the time of my injury.

I had visited Aspetar yesterday based on my appointment. A very professional and hospitable atmosphere. Starting from security to reception, doctors and technicians. Every one was professional and friendly. Felt very confident about the treatment I received. A world class hospital and was happy to see one of its kind in Qatar.

World class facilities. leaders in sports medicine, sports science. Urgent patients are prioritized first so it may take time to get an appointment, which makes sense. One of a kind hospital.

The worst service ever that I had in my life! I got my first dose covid vaccine in this hospital. And imagine no one mention it in the system that I got my first dose. Today is the day of my second dose. For the second dose they told me go to another health center cuz we dont have second dose here. I went one of health center and they told me you dont have appointment at all and in the system even doesn’t show that you have first dose!!! What kind of hospital is that?! I will complain to Ministry about that! How comes patient got first dose and you dont update it in your system?!

It's probably very good, but I was suffering with a lot of pain in my back, inflicted by a sports injury. I was turned away saying the next appointment is after months, maybe a year. What hospital ever turns away a patient? This one does!

Waiting time to check for sport injuries are several month to one year. Cant be serious - on the phone it sound like they do not care.

Avoid even calling and trying to get an appointment if your condition is serious. I’ve called several times and the last time I called, they told me that the appointment could take 3-4 months.

I don’t advise anyone to get treatment at Aspetar unless your an athlete at a sports club just because players/athletes are linked into the system and get special treatment. The call center and doctors don’t really care about outsiders. Regardless of your injury they still won’t care. A lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding happen internally between patients, doctors, appointments. SO BE CAREFUL AND ONLY GO IF YOUR WILLING TO WAIT FOR MONTHS UNTIL TREATED

Very bad experience with Customer Service. They hang up the phone when you are still talking to them and if they transfer you to another department they never pick up! To get an appointment you have to beg and call them 10 times. I hope they undergo a special training for customer service. They are not very helpful at all. Really disappointed!

The physiotherapy really does help when doing surgery or just normal physio - could be a delay to get an appointment but its all worth it in the end
