If you are living in Qatar but not visited this place yet, then you could be unlucky. (This building is widely known as "Fanar") Free interactive sessions, Arabic learning and many more things available. If you have a tough question about Islam and you want to the precise answer, then this is the right place. Friday (Jummah) prayers offered along with regular prayers. Plenty of parking available, yet crowded due to the shops around. (The "pay" parking lot next to the building will be offered "FREE" during Friday prayers) Recommended.

Beautiful mosque. Want to go there again. From outside, it looks nice specially in night time but from inside also very beautiful. It is on a very prominent location. It is opposite to souq waqif, pearl monument is near to it. MIA (Museum of Islamic Art) also near there. Corniche is there. They also do courses and international lectures. So, quite famous mosque in Qatar

This masjid is really nice Masha Allah. They do the talks in English for Jummah and there is plenty of space if you are arriving on time. I try and get here 1 hour before jammat time and will get a seat in the front row easily alhamdulilah.

(Translated by Google) The Islamic Cultural Center is a very beautiful center for the entry of some other religions into Islam, but I see that it lacks some strong sheikhs that convince the individual to enter Islam while he is reassured (Original) المركز الثقافي الإسلامي مركز جميل جدا لدخول بعض الديانات الأخرى إلي الإسلام ولكن أري أنه ينقصه بعض الشيوخ القويه التي تقنع الفرد دخول الإسلام وهو مطمئن

Qatar Islamic Cultural Center "Fanar" to introduce Islam in the most famous international languages. The center has several branches within Doha. Each branch include a number of "Fanar" preachers with experience in introducing non-Arabs to Islam through modern written, spoken and video advocacy means. The engineering design of the “Fanar Center” building was taken into account to highlight the authentic Islamic art, and it is distinguished by its twisted minaret in the form of a spiral, like the minaret of the Samarra Mosque in Iraq and the minaret of the Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo. Their contact number is +974 4444 7444 for any further info.

The center's most distinguished feature is its mosque which has a unique minaret design. Prior to 2009, Fanar's mosque was the largest in the country. It has since been over taken in this category by Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque, however, it remains the tallest mosque in Qatar. The mosque was named after the famous Qatari Islamic scholar and the founder of the Qatari judicial system Sheikh Abdulla bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud. The name was given by the Emir of Qatar to commemorate the memory of his achievements during his tenure as the supreme judge of Qatar. Traditional Qatari mosques were made of coral rock, mud and wood, as opposed to the mosques from the 21st century built of brick and mortar. These materials now allow the construction of high domes, replacing the flat roofs. Moreover, traditional mosques featured courtyards, which are rarely seen in modern mosques. Finally, the traditional outdoor "mothawaddah" in the form of a pool has been replaced with wash basins and running water. Fanar Culture Center is involved in several social, religious and educational activities. In addition to hosting one of the largest mosques in Qatar, the center also publishes religious studies and provides lessons in Arabic and Islam. The center also houses a library. The mosque is a popular tourist attraction and allows entry for non-Muslims

The exterior design of the mosque is beautiful. The spiral design is inspired by a similar structure / mosque that is located in Iraq 🇮🇶 (called the Great Mosque of Samarra). This mosque in Qatar 🇶🇦 is exquisite from outdoors, especially at night. The indoor design is very simple, however. I have attached both indoor and outdoor photos.

Beautiful structure. In one part of the building it has QIB bank and it is exactly facing Souq Waqif and Qatar Central Bank in two sides. Corniche is near by too...😘

I only went to the QNB branch there not the actual fanar thing, so my review might not be accurate but what I know is that there is a big parking issue there due to street maintenance atm, also the souq is close by which adds more traffic problems to the location.

Perhaps the 'stand-out building' in Doha, from the outside. A beautiful piece of architecture that cannot be missed whilst walking around the souq area of Doha. Even more beautiful at night. This is the one place I will return to on my next visit to Doha as I just hadn't the time to visit inside whilst there on this trip.

Abdullah bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center presents Islam as a way of life for all people and works on motivating Non-Muslims to become more informed about Islam. We strive to develop a social environment for people of different cultural backgrounds to come together and learn the hospitable Qatari culture and rich traditions of the people of Qatar. We constantly work closely with diverse communities to empower them through our unique programs and activities that range from sports, education, cultural tours to social and community development.

I had a wonderful experience at the culture center where I learned a lot about Islamic beliefs. The host, Adam, was very helpful and friendly. He explained the basics of Islam, such as the five pillars, the Quran, and the prophet Muhammad. He also showed me how Muslims pray. The highlight of the visit was the virtual reality tour to Mecca, the holiest city for Muslims. I felt like I was there, seeing the Kaaba, the mosque, and the pilgrims. It was an amazing and eye-opening experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about Islam and its culture. Highly recommend visiting this places. Building is beautiful and entry is free.

Great place for seeking knowledge about the Deen. Good place for non-muslims to learn about Islam. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Prayer in congregation is better than prayer alone by twenty seven times.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 619, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 650 Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning and evening, Allah will prepare for him a place in Paradise for every morning and evening.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 631, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 669

I could probably say that this building is a landmark for the Old Town of Doha. A building with fantastic architecture that captures the eye regardless of which direction you see it. Especially after sunset when the building is illuminated with yellow light.

One of the main icons of Qatar. This masjid cum cultural center is a good destination to learn about Islam . There are several facilities like library, wall poster exhibition, artifacts exhibition, video exhibition etc. The 360 Vertual Image class is very thrilling and useful to learn history of Islam.
