Full
of
anticipation
following
my
last
highly
memorable
visit
to
Veritas,
my
expectations
of
a
Michelin
Starred
restaurant
could
not
quite
be
met
this
time
round.
While
there
is
nothing
wrong
with
main
course
portions
being
small,
it
would
have
been
nice
had
I
been
made
aware
of
it
at
the
time
of
ordering.
A
more
proactive
approach
of
the
waiter
and,
I
suppose
proper
Michelin
Star
training
is
what
is
needed
here.
The
food
was
excellent,
but
the
service
was
sub-standard.
With
only
two
tables
to
serve,
empty
wine
glasses
during
the
main
course,
which
already
gave
rise
for
dissatisfaction,
is
almost
unforgivable.
Everything
had
to
be
specifically
asked
when
it
is
the
essence
of
a
Michelin
Star
service
to
read
what
the
guest
may
need
or
want.
In
all
fairness,
the
restaurant
manager
quickly
recognised
that
things
were
not
going
well
at
my
table
and
quickly
came
to
rescue
the
situation
in
a
truly
Michelin
Star
manner.
He
was
not
going
to
let
me
leave
feeling
hungry
and
offered
an
additional
dish
“on
the
house”
which
was
delicious
like
all
the
other
dishes
I
had.
Overall,
the
service
let
down
what
is
otherwise
a
remarkable
restaurant.
