Another positive thing about this beach is that there is very few people on the water even on the weekends despite the line of motor homes lining up the beachfront. The negative side is that there is no huts, umbrellas or trees for cover so you are just really under the bright sun throughout your stay. No picnic tables or even public showers to is after a swim unless you have an RV parked there or brought gallons of water to rinse off the salt. So all our food and clothing are just lying on the sand.

There is a sandbar where you can stand and swim in the gentle waves of the Persian Gulf. It is only an hours drive out of Doha city but the peace and tranquillity is definitely worth it. There re two different group usually visiting Beach, One group is single friend group, usually they re preferring to stay there and night camp, second group is coming morning time after 9.00 - 9.30 and especially weekend it is crowded. Water is nice , sand is ok. And usually visitors re from western countries.

Recommend to take small tent for changing clothes or other needs as there are no public toilets on site!! Beach is very clean and always less crowded..Recommend to have rechargeable lighting with you if planning for overnight stays. The night we stayed was super misty and in the morning everything left outside was soaked with water.

If only all people behaved like dogs... unfortunately people are alot worse leaving alot of garbage al along the beach and throwing donuts in their 4x4's. Cleaning does happen, but expect to see everything from the full bbq sets to child sit in car toys. They are doing some wonderful work growing mangroves, which in winter attracts quite a few bird species that is lovely. Pay attention to wind direction to have a fresh breeze, if it is a south westerly you will breath in the fumes from powerstation/desalination plant.

January is the best month to camp out since its the cold season.
