Short,
pleasurable,
overnight
stay
spent
with
my
wife,
during
phase
2
of
the
Covid
reopening
of
Qatar.
We
stayed
in
one
of
their
standard
rooms.
The
room
was
very
modern
with
a
central
computer
that
can
control
everything
from
the
lights,
the
AC
and
the
electronic
curtains
that
looked
out
onto
a
sea
view.
The
smart
switch
device
was
very
fiddly,
however
there
were
plenty
of
more
conventional
switchs
and
remotes
to
control
everything.
The
hotel
has
its
own
private
sandy
beach
which
looked
really
well
maintained
and
pleasant.
However,
it
was
only
available
to
the
guest
between
9am
to
6pm.
The
pool
was
absolutely
beautiful.
The
temperature
of
the
water
was
perfect
and
the
water
was
clean.
In
order
to
avoided
overcrowding
the
hotel
designated
each
guest
a
3
hour
window
in
which
they
can
enjoy
the
pool
facilities
which
made
perfect
sense.
The
resort
also
has
a
pool
side
restaurant
that
provide
drinks
and
outdoor
eating.
The
amenities
in
the
room
was
extensive.
From
the
usual
soap,
shower
gel
and
shampoo
to
sewing
kits,
vanity
kits
and
dental
kits.
As
you
can
imagine
these
were
all
low
quality
and
disposable
but
perfectly
functional.
The
room
also
comprised
of
a
blow
dryer,
iron
and
ironing
board
and
we
were
treated
to
a
fresh
bowl
of
fruit,
curtursy
of
the
hotel.
The
bed
and
the
pillows
were
really
comfortable
and
we
enjoyed
a
good
night's
sleep.
Our
stay
included
breakfast
which
was
decent.
Pre-covid
the
breakfast
would
have
been
a
buffet,
however
post
Covid,
you
order
what
you
want
and
the
waiter
just
brings
it
round.
They
allowed
us
to
either
eat
in,
at
the
restaurant
or
bring
the
breakfast
round
into
our
room.
The
menu
was
English
and
continental
and
everything
tasted
ok.
My
only
complaint
would
be
that
the
coffee
tasted
like
it
was
an
instant
coffee
and
the
mushrooms
were
over
seasoned.
Overall,
we
really
enjoyed
our
stay
at
the
Al
Sultan
Beach
Resort.
The
value
for
money
was
good
although
I
would
make
sure
you
shop
around,
and
I
will
recommend
this
hotel
for
couples
and
families.
