I’ve been trying to find the best way to describe this little gem of a cafe. Let me preface by saying this: one-fourth of the duo couple that owns Blended, Noor Al-Mazorui truly embodies the definition of a renaissance woman, no shortcuts made to claim her truth and live the life she has strived for herself. She has overcome many trials and tribulations by consistently focusing on finessing her culinary skills. Noor has become a fixture on the social media scene in Qatar (and beyond), helping to break away at the stigma that has long accompanied Qatari women in the digital media space. I digress, what makes this place so special is- aside from it being so close to my house- is the splendid warmth of the interior space and overall relaxing ambience that always draws me back. The menu is kept to a bare minimum which impressively boasts gluten free and vegan options but I am personally obsessed with their light-as-a-feather chicken sandwich sprinkled with sesame seeds and also the appetizing (albeit pricey )chocolate truffles. Do support local businesses, especially well executed ones that beat out international franchises any day of the week!
