Great sized rooms and excellent staff. I cannot say enough about the staff here. Their breakfast is lacking some things, such as milk and cereal which I personally found odd. But the staff was so accommodating and willing to please. We had a really noisy fridge so they switched it out within an hour and then called to make sure the switch was satisfactory! It is just down the street from a Chilis and Olive Garden and it is really easy to access the highway. Only took about 30 minutes to get to Chicago. The beds are firm but really comfortable. There are different firmness level pillows. The hallways were really quiet at night, which was appreciated. We had a room with 2 queen size beds that was a nice size room, had more than the usual 2 beds. There was a little extra space where they had a cute chair and reading lamp that provided a little extra space. I'd stay here again.

I drove to Chi for weekend to visit family I reserved and paid on Hopper. The hotel did not know how to process this and said I had to pay at the desk and Hopper was only a hold. Immediately found out i paid for the room twice. Called Her, they were on the problem right away and tried make it right with hotel. The staff did not know what to do and did not refund me that weekend. Took several days to get my money back. In the meantime I did not have access to $400 that i really would have liked to have while visiting from out of town. And the carpet in the room was soaking wet, still wet at checkout 2 days later. Nice beds and great pillows.

Clean, comfortable, staff very friendly and professional. Reason not giving the 5th star payment system only accepted card with chip. I travelled 8hrs. and was told I could not pay with my card I use for travel that is a swipe only and it was no other option. So I was being turned away because of Holiday Inn not having all options available.

Hotel is remodeled and nice (floor 4 at least). Front desk was amazing, personable and really helped us out . Well worth the price. If you're bringing kids and plan on swimming, make sure to reach out and see if the remodeling is done. Definitely be back. Nice job by all.

I stay the night here this particular location is being remodeled. The check-in persons are overly eager to help you in any shape or form. They are super intensive and nice. The rooms are spacious, they're clean and they have a microwave coffee cup refrigerator for your use. I will definitely go back if I'm back in the Chicago area

We are here on a business trio for my husband so my son and myself have been able to enjoy the luxuries of the hotel more. Ms. Johanna and Ms. Pat are awesome early in the morning greeting you with smiles and great conversations. The cleaning crew is excellent and to my experience both managers have been helpful and kind. I love the area and they make sure you're well accommodated. The pool is heated and clean. The only thing is the wifi signal isn't as strong

The room was very clean. The whole establishment was very clean. The breakfast staff was extremely polite and helpful. The staff at breakfast brought me everything I needed without asking. I haven’t had service that nice in years and I’m from the south. I loved my stay here and have no complaints. Pay the staff more cause their great !

One of the worst experiences staying at a hotel. Room service knocks on your door despite the do not disturb sign. We asked for a late checkout and they still sent room services to the room on 3 different occasions to rush us out and then lied and said they never gave us a late checkout. Breakfast will give you a stomachache for days. 0/10 I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels across the country and this was by far the worst guest service I’ve ever received.

Instead of being treated like a normal guest. Because I work for IHG as well, my stay wasn't as good as it should have been. Diane the GM was very rude and stated in her words we don't do late checks out of 1 pm. When as a Gold member I have an 2 pm option. And yes Diane as a employee I know its subject to availibity but you didn't say it was unavailable you stated we don't have it like you never give late check-outs. Issues that I noticed and wasn't going to even say anything about but I wasn't recognized as a member or anything. My whole point is I should have been treated like any other guest/member. I just wanted a little time to get my kids showered as they had just came out of the pool. I wasn't worried about myself I could have waited. Yes, I was given until 12 when I came down at 11:40am to make sure I had a 1pm check-out but I thought that was when check-out was originally. Just be a little more understanding with guests as an Ops manager I understand a little understanding goes a long way with guest relations. The fact that the response from the property was so combative and not apologetic was really shocking to me. No response is needed from management as you all have already called me a liar anyway.

The lady at front desk was polite and helpful. However the rooms could use better cleaning and the pool. But it was decent.

We have family in town here and for years have been trying to find a nice hotel to stay at when we visit. All we’re ok. But wasn’t able to get comfortable. This hotel has been wonderful for us and our family! We feel safe here with our children. The pool is nice, and WARM! The breakfast is good, workers are sweet and helpful. And the beds/bedding are probably some of the comfiest we’ve stayed in. We will continue to stay here for family gatherings! Thanks Holiday Inn!

I developed severe food poisoning (Dr. confirmed) after eating at their breakfast buffet. Diane (GM) was very defensive and rude when I kindly spoke to her after trying to reach her for over a week to find out more information about the food preparation. Also, upon arrival to the room there was no toilet paper, no working room phone to call lobby to ask for missing toilet paper and the bathroom floor had black marks which I wiped off. Bottom line they take no responsibility for their mistakes - and if you stay here beware of the breakfast as I was very sick for 5 days.

10/10 would not recommend coming here. I stayed here for my best friend’s wedding & tbh, I would’ve rather chanced it flying in the morning OF the wedding. The managers Diane & Carroll were so rude during my stay AND after. I’m STILL dealing with my bank for a dispute because THEY didn’t verify the person who was checking out their room, room number, name or credit card and assumed since we have the same last name that I should pay for both my room and someone else’s room. I called them and asked for a refund since I paid for my room with another credit card & I shouldn’t be responsible for paying for someone else’s room, I don’t care if the whole hotel all had the same name, that has nothing to do with me & THEM doing their job to make sure the correct person is charged for the correct room. They told me that I wasn’t getting a refund until someone else paid for that other room, then basically told me that it’s on ME to get in contact with that other person so that they can pay for the room. I called for an update on my refund, Diane literally told me again that I wasn’t getting a refund if no one else pays for the room I didn’t stay in then had the nerve to start yelling at me like I’M supposed to do their job w/ getting in contact with a guest of THEIRS! & on top of all of this, they actually gave my room to someone else! I’m so glad I was walking out of my room the same time the other person was walking up because I asked what room they were in and they confidently said the same room number that I was already in! IMAGINE IF THAT HAD BEEN A STRANGER! CRAZY! Definitely wouldn’t stay at this hotel again even if it was the last hotel in Illinois! BUT! Jennifer & Kennedy & I believe his name is Kevin, were very nice & helpful. They’re the only reason why I even gave this location any stars. 🤗

Location is convenient near highway I-94. 30 minutes drive from downtown Chicago. Hotel staff was very nice and cooperative. Breakfast was great. Price is competitive and affordable compared to downtown Chicago.

Heather was at the desk when I arrived. She asked about my travels into Chicago and about my day in general. She checked me in and said to call her at the desk if I needed anything. Thank you Heather. The the lobby bathroom was clean. The room bed and room bath where clean. Bathroom had wall mounted hand soap and lotion. Nice. The shade in the room was an older electric model that did not work. Room darkness was achievable.

Heads up this Hotel does not look like it looks online. They ran out of food for the guess and this supposed to be included. They had no linen like towels for the guess. Our room literally had one set for every one to use. This is for sure a 2 rated hotel and I sincerely would be Leary of the high rating .I didn’t check the date on them to see if they were years old. However, any good reviews from at-least 3 years ago I would be concern. Sometimes these companies take the time to write good reviews on themselves. This might be Franchise own and not corporate . However corporate does not want the name smeared. They must uphold the same standard or lose the use of the name.Usually, we never give or even bothered with Reviews unless the experience is horrible. Also, for those who don’t like to live with pets in your home. Beware they allow pets. Geesh. I’m certain we will be back to Chicago often but we will not stay here.

Had some problems checking in. Arrived at 10pm and had to wait an hour until in the lobby until the issues got sorted out. Front desk staff was very helpful and gave me an upgrade for the delay. The rest of the stay was smooth and rooms were cleaned every day.

Front desk staff was awesome! I believe she said her name was Lupe? Either way, terrific service and overall guest experience!

Service animal not accepted. Front desk told me I would b charged $300.00 for my service animal. Then it changed to $100.00 cleaning fee. I never had as much trouble as I did here when traveling with my animal. I do suggest this company do there homework on service animal laws.

Room was clean and comfortable. I spent three days here on vacation with my 11 month old daughter and was pleasantly surprised with how quiet and clean the property was even under construction and renovation. Special shout out to one of the managers (Fran) who came thru in the clutch. Traveling with an infant can be really stressful but upon checkout Fran helped me load my luggage and brought it down to the car and loaded it up for me while I strapped my daughter into the car. Greatly appreciate the awesome customer service and would highly recommend as a place for families, single adults etc.

The hotel is under renovations ATM so taking into consideration that anything unavailable at the moment is only bc they are making it even better, I think this is a very nice property. It feels safe and the beds are amazing! It is the staff though that brings you back here. Johanna at breakfast has been the absolute friendliest and most helpful person (especially at 6am when I typically don't like anyone!) The then there is the sweet girl with the freckles who has helped me when I locked myself out of my room! And the amazing gentleman who found me some forks when I couldn't find utensils and tried to have dinner ... It's staff like this that make a work trip seem like home! PS only issue is y'all could really use better breakfast food (Johanna makes up for the lack of choices tho) Hopefully after renovations the regular breakfast will be back!

My semi broke down and I chose Holiday inn express to stay. You will not be disappointed by this place. They are extremely friendly and accommodating! The room was around $150 per night but well worth every penny because of their professionalism and willingness to accommodate. Look no further and it's right off the interstate. Plenty of delivery places nearby. I chose beggars pizza and was not disappointed!!! Great job Holiday Inn Express!!!
