Amazing room. Manager was rude. I forgot my original card that I reserved the room with and asked the worker if it could still be charged for the room. Manager shouts from the back room “We have to have the card!!!!” Then comes out and is immediately hostile/talking over me. We put another card on. When we checked out, they charged the original card that she had so vehemently denied they could not do. We also asked to check in an hour early and they refused. Not very accommodating. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. Maybe better management or policies would improve the stay.

This is a nicely decorated small community hotel that is losing out on capturing a good amount of business, due to overcharging for what they offer. The building has been upgraded quite nicely and should be booked up months ahead. However, the pricing needs to be adjusted to accommodate the clientele of the community. This is not a hotel, bar, and dining room in the heart of the Loop. It displays a pleasant, upscale atmosphere that could easily be enjoyed for dinner and a weekend out, a small wedding venue, a friendship brunch or dinner outing. The owners could benefit from the assistance of a business consultant.

Excellent experience and stay! Part of our stay was an surprise to my wife. They helped with the execution of the surprise and even gave advice! Beautiful hotel, exceptional clean (very important during this time), and superb staff! This place is a hidden gem for sure! Feel just like you're downtown Chicago. This is now my favorite hotel, perfect for a quick getaway, Excellent atmosphere and great restaurant in side hotel! Can't wait to return! This review isn't justice. These are the places we need to frequent to ensure they stay open! Thanks La Banque for an amazing experience and making me look great to my wife😁

I wish I could describe my stay. But I didn’t stay. Tried to treat my mom to a girls weekend after thanksgiving. Called to tel the hotel we could not make it and rescheduled the stay. I was told it was moved over the phone. We get there with no place to park because the hotel had no parking rules for people while Re not guests. Walked half a block to the hotel just to find out we don’t have a room AND the charged me a no show fee of 300 dollars. We explained to the “manager” what happened and she offered us a different room, which was missing a key feature I booked the room for. I then asked for me 300 dollars back because it wasn’t a no show I called to say I couldn’t make it. She then told us that “she’s already being generous by letting us rebook and offering a room” …..horrible embarrassing experience. Then when my asked for a complaint number she gave her the hotel number….seriously? I’ve also ran into issues with hotel in passing. Racist staff. I jus want my “no show” fee back. Why would I want to stay after such a rude experience from your manager

To some up my stay here in one word, it would be awesome 👌. This boutique hotel is clean, and the manager is just a pleasure to deal with. I stayed here for business, and she took great care of our entire team. This hotel is a gem 💎 in Homewood.

Amazing decor and over-the-top, courteous customer service. Some of the room appliances are dated and malfunction, but staff are quick to correct. Great breakfast and food options with close-by restaurants.

This place is simply outstanding. The room are elegant, the entire vibe of the hotel is classy. This is one of the few hotels that are on par with Chicago's north side hotels. Food is good, except fries skip them. Even the check in and lounge is a treat for your senses. Clean all around, staff are friendly, amenities are nice. This a well polished machine. This is great getaway when u nd a break frm yo 9 -5. Prices reasonable, If you hv doubts..I say spend the money!! You ll thank me later. So if u want a luxury hotel diff from yo avg holiday inn come here and unwind, its a kinda far but not ridiculous, I recommend this place for vac, annv, just to treat yourself.

Stayed for New Years Eve and in the room was a small bottle of sparkling wine with horns and a cookie! The hotel was quiet and very clean! Love the location! Will return!

Very convenient location, beautiful room, nice staff, but awful breakfast. No hot food at all, except coffee and hot water. The croissant was hard to even bit in. It probably 1 week old. I had to get back to work at 8, no additional time to grab another breakfast. For his price, shouldn't it at least cover fresh bread?

I loved this hotel! Spent the weekend and felt like I was in an oasis. The hotel is small but the rooms were beautiful. We had one of the largest rooms 😉.

Had dinner in the restaurant. The female server was great but the chef was having an off evening. Had to send the first entree back, I didn't care for the taste. Second entree was sent out incomplete. Have been here several times, this was the first time with food issues.

It's pricey but most boutique style hotels are especially around holidays or weekends. Many different rules due to pandemic I'm guessing. Like we couldn't have a drink in the bar unless we had reservations when the bar and most of the restaurant were empty. No one seemed to know if we could order room service. Luckily we had a family party and went early. We noticed glass broken in a picture frame immediately entering the suite and the attendant on duty removed it in minutes. We were in an accessible room which includes lots of grab bars and side floor area, there's also braille on the door. The tub however is a regular high side so someone can't roll in or walk-in. You could probably bring a slide seat though. They include a dark wash cloth for makeup removal. A nice coffee station with fridge, in room safe, robes, iron, dryer, etc. Nice one time for mom to enjoy the holiday. It's right across from the Metra station and has ample free parking. Many great restaurants in the area if you want something different like Red Bird.

The room is huge, as is the bathroom. Everything is nice and clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly. They had a hot chocolate bar tonight, which was a fantastic idea too. I normally stay at chain hotels, but a coworker set up this hotel for a work conference. I was skeptical before I got here but I’ll definitely try to stay here again the next time I’m in town! Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel. Clean, quiet, easy check in and check out procedures. I would love to stay here again. Room was comfortable and I was impressed. The room was booked by my daughter when I visited the area for the weekend so I don't know the price she paid. I was very happy with my stay.

This charming hotel is definitely a gem located in the heart of downtown Homewood. From the stylish decor to the swanky restaurant, I truly enjoyed my local getaway. The only changes I would suggest would be upgrading the tvs to Smart Tvs for movie streaming, improving the morning breakfast selection and having a skeleton crew so that in room dining can occur at least until 11pm on weekends

Nice enough but some issues. First you would get another star if you replace that smelly disgusting carpet leading from the lobby to the bathrooms. Holy cow - how can you be that nose blind? The entire hotel smells of it - c’mon guys.

Overall great hotel, the lobby art work, the halls and rooms are Gourgous. When I booked the room they ask you to write what you would like in room. added service. I only requested 4 additional Caffenated Kpods. We arrived, one caffenated 5 decaf. Went down to front desk girl gave us 4 "caffenated" got to room nope, decaf, called she was very nice said house keeping would drop off correct Kpods..you guessed it 4 more decaf, was really surprised bar at hotel closed at 1000 I know these are minor inconveniences, but for a luxury hotel it's those little details right? The only other issue I would add is the bed was pretty hard now I know everybody likes things differently so maybe other people love the bedding. Typically with more expensive hotel the bedding is top notch. These are small details, and there is so much more to like about this hotel and I will certainly be back but they were things that I didn't expect for what I thought this hotel should be. I would also like to say everybody, everybody from the staff was super nice from the bartenders to the front desk the managers everybody was great they just love their decaf LOL

I stayed in the deluxe king room #203 from 2-7 - 2-8 and checked out on 2-9. This was meant to be my wedding getaway as we reserved the Vault and had a dinner party which was great. Courtney and Chrissy were AMAZING. This is where my praise for LaBanque ends. My wife and I left the hotel on Thursday afternoon as we had plans for the day. I called the front desk to inform them that we would like our room cleaned. We returned around 1030p and our room had NOT been cleaned at all. I had to call the front desk for fresh towels. The bathroom had NOT been cleaned as the sinks were left untouched. The dresser and desk countertops had not been cleaned. We did not receive fresh mugs for coffee and our leftover coffee from the previous morning remained in the mugs. I made this known to the front desk attendant; he apologized but didn't offer fresh mugs. I have never experienced anything like this before at any hotel that I have stayed in. The attention to detail from your housekeeping staff is sorely lacking. Upon checkout the front desk didn't thank me for my stay nor ask how my stay was. Not surprisingly, they didn't seem to care about the issues with my room at all. Management mentioned that this was a "small operation" and that housekeeping didn't get around to my room because it was "too late"; mind you, I called to have my room cleaned at 12p in the afternoon. Needless to say our wedding getaway was marred by the gross negligence and subpar customer service from LaBanque.

the staff greeted all of us with a warm welcome including our two dogs. They are dog friendly hotel which is a plus to us! Our room was small but manageable. The linens were dirty (stains on them and holes on another) from bedding to towels. This made me feel gross when staying there. I can’t express in words how terrible this part was. Night shift were very kind, conversationalist, good eye contact. One gentlemen did leave a good cleaning solution in the room for us even though we brought our own just in case. That was kind. Two staff offered our dogs bottled water as it comes complimentary with the rooms. Very sweet of them! Turns out water and coffee is complimentary with the hotel rooms. Downfall there isn’t a lot of grass to walk the dogs on and they don’t have doggie bag station so I highly recommend bringing your own doggie bags. However if you walk around to other residents nearby you can find other patches of grass. We found a couple stools not picked up by guests so we picked them up. They have a cute small shaded area you could sit out in the front, that had two benches. It’s a quiet hotel for the most part. When we stayed there were a few other dogs staying there too. The lobby is stunning! My husband loved the restaurant food, I wasn’t able to take part in it due to migraine coming on. We were supposed to stay till Tuesday but left earlier then planned. We left due to the linen concerns. Thankful for the kind genuine staff they have on board! However at night I noticed there were two young gentlemen working. We loved Nathan. With the other one that isn’t Nathan, there was a woman (possibly staff) with him behind the desk. It’s not a very big hotel but quaint.

This place is a hidden gem. It has an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. The only reason they got a four star instead of a Five star is because their restaurant and bar closes at 10 pm on a Friday. That's just retarded on their part. But otherwise there food is top notch as long as you can there before closing time.
