Great place for a relaxing day. Suitable for everyone. No entry fee, only parking fee for cars but very reasonably priced. Nice cafe and toilets inside. Very well maintained. Loads of squirrels and birds that kids enjoy. Would need an entire day to go around the garden and the greenhouses. My kids 9 & 2 enjoy spending the day here and have never complained. Every time we have visited, there has been something new, doesn't get boring. Very limited Parking space and can get full quickly on holidays. So plan ahead.

Nice garden and very well maintained. They do not have dustbins here and visitors are expected to take their trash with them. It is good and very relaxing 😌. They also have 2 tea rooms and it is nice and has many food options 😀 available. Good place for family visit and to relax on weekend 😌

Such an unbelievable place! The botanical gardens are truly a gem you need to see when in Dublin. It's pretty big and you can find all kinds of plants here, and it feels kinda strange to have something like this in the middle of the city, with entrance free of charge. It's not very modern, but in this case, it kind of just gives it even more 'authenticity' and vibe.

This public and free garden is a breathtaking oasis that harmoniously blends nature's beauty with artistic treasures. As you stroll through its lush green spaces, you'll encounter a rich tapestry of trees, plants, vibrant roses, and immaculate lawns. Each corner of the garden is adorned with exquisite sculptures and captivating works of art, transforming it into an open-air museum. Nestled within this serene haven are glass houses, showcasing an eclectic collection of plants from around the world, each carefully curated to replicate their native environments. It's a botanical journey that transports visitors to different countries and climates, providing a captivating educational experience. This garden is a true masterpiece, a place where nature and art coexist in perfect harmony, offering a picturesque and enchanting escape for all to enjoy, free of charge.

This was absolutely atrocious. We left halfway through because it wasn't worth our time despite having spent 25 euros on it. They treated the history of Bram Stoker as more of a comedy than an informative and it made for some really bad scripting. The actors weren't bad really, they just had terrible material to work with. They also suddenly started singing Rocky Horror Picture Show midway through the "performance"? Never seen anything so bizarre. Bad sets, bad writing, a true waste of money. Do not visit.

I visited Castle Dracula on Saturday the 1st of April and it was a fantastic experience. It was a brilliant mixture of spooky and funny and also included a great bit of history about Bram Stoker. The cast of actors was small but they really gave it their all and put on a great show. If you're looking for something different to do in Dublin then this is a great way to spend an evening.

Very nice place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and tidy. The flowers are getting very beautiful at this time of the year. It's a calm and peaceful place to get some lazy day. The coffee shop is very handy. The parking slot is very small, just few places, but it has affordable pricing. Totally worth the visit.

I could spend my days lost in there, rain or shine because nature is just mesmerizing. Not to mention the greenhouses which are both, delicate and majestic! Get a guided tour if you would like to find out everything all at once but if you have the chance to go back again and again, just take your time to enjoy ❤️

Truly the best botanical garden I’ve ever been to. It is incredibly expansive, and you can easily spend half a day here strolling through the different areas. There is everything from rare plants to vegetable gardens and everything in between. The cafe has surprisingly good food for a decent price. Free entry, just pay to park (about 1 euro/hour). We would absolutely come back again.

This was so horrible we left half way through. Very disjointed storyline, a mix of serious and spooky bits then a campy Rocky Horror sing-a-long... then we left. I applaud their efforts bringing interactive theatre to Dublin but this was a fail.

I attended the free guided tour with Charlotte on Sunday. The car park was full by 2PM so I recommend walking here or taking public transport. Picnics are not permitted in the gardens but there is a cafe on site. The tour was wonderful and so informative. Charlotte is so knowledgeable and I think the tour changes every time depending on seasons etc. I would highly recommend a visit here.

A supernice place for walking. Amazing trees. Due to corona virus all glasshouses as well as inside exhibitions are closed. However you can book guided tours of the garden (outside tours). Entry is free. There are lots of squirrels, waiting for nuts.

Literally have no words to describe this breathtaking botanic garden, I can say with no doubt on my mind that it's the most beautiful one I've ever been. It has vast variety of flowers, trees, fruits, vegetables, herbs... An amazing place to come and forget the busy life of dublin, sit on the grass and have a lovely picnic enjoying the incredible view of the gardens.

We loved coming here. First off, it's free, which is so refreshing when most other countries would charge to see this. The people working here were very nice and helpful. They were happy to engage and answer any questions. One gardener even walked around with us telling us about the plants and his work. Highly recommend.

Even on a late Autumn day, the gardens hold treasures to discover and colors to behold. Be sure to discover the lightly distributed sculptures, especially the one dedicated to RNA and DNA, near the fern wall. In autumn, the salvias provide a burst of color to help cure the blues. Best of all... it's free! And the 30 minute bus ride from the city center gives tourists a better view of the city of Dublin.

The show took about 2 to 2.5 hours. I loved the haunted house combined with the history about Bram Stoker and Dracula. Very interesting. I got a little confused when we got to the singing part and magic show. I wasn't expecting it at all since I thought all of the evening would be spent on Bram Stoker. But I did enjoy the magic show in the end and I loved the little goody bag I got for being a VIP. There were a few too many people in the crowd for me. Some spaces were hard to fit us all. I would still recommend this evening to others looking for a fun and spooky night.

Very lovely garden with it's own magical charms We came here during our university break, and it was very calming to sit and enjoy the flora and fauna. The squirrels here are super adorable and friendly. They have a pair of swans and a raft of ducks. So pretty and cute. I saw the biggest cabbage that I have seen in my life. It was at least 5kg. I was so excited. There are many beautiful greenhouses that were built probably 100 years ago, but sadly it was closed when I visited the gardens due to covid. Do come and visit if you like a place away from the city They have a cafe and FREE clean toilets.

I will recommend You take a walk to The National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, just 3 kilometres from Dublin city centre, are renowned for the exquisite plant collections held there. They are home to over 15,000 plant species and cultivars from a variety of habitats from all around the world. The jewel in the gardens’ crown is a set of exquisitely restored and planted historic glasshouses. Most notable among these are Richard Turner’s Curvilinear Range and the Great Palm House, both winners of an award for excellence in conservation architecture.

A lovely place, very peaceful and stunning botany all around! The greenhouses are currently closed due to COVID-19 however, there are tons of species outside to look at. A lovely place for a walk in nature. They have toilet facilities available as well as a tea room

The buildings here alone make this worth visiting. If you’re not a plant person you may not get tons of enjoyment from this place but I recommend a stroll through anyways as it’s free. If you are a plant person you don’t need me to convince you to attend. Plenty of things to see and the grounds were beautifully kept. I would love to return here one day.

Years since I have been here as I now live a long distance away. Things have changed but now very child and elderly friendly. Another 2 weeks or so and the Tulips will be out. Lovely though with the underplanting of Crocus, daffodils and woodland anemone.

The botanical gardens consist of a large park with different areas, and several greenhouses. I absolutely loved the greenhouses, they are well-maintained, display a great variety of exotic and native plants, and in the big one you really feel like in a jungle, I especially liked the small jungle-hut hidden in the forest. Parking (for a fee) is available, As well as a café (botanical garden tea rooms) where you can find food and bathrooms. Everything there to have a lovely trip, There is no entrance fee; which i think is great 👍

A gem tucked away just north of the city centre with herons, ducks, squirrels and of course, an abundance of plant life. Entry is free and the wonderfully restored glasshouses and cafe make this a great spot to visit.

Well maintained national park.. Not as extensive as the Kew Gardens but considering its free entry can't complain. Still plenty of green to see even in winter...Spring /summer would probably be better. The park can be seen in 1 to 2 hrs time. Cafe is fine.

The National Botanical Gardens of Ireland is a beautiful oasis of calm and beauty located in Glasnevin, just three kilometres from Dublin City Centre. The garden is home to over 15,000 plant species from habitats around the world. I visited the garden and was amazed by the sun-dappled trees and the serene atmosphere. The garden is perfect for nature lovers and those who want to experience the beauty of Ireland. I enjoyed walking along the woodland trails and taking in the beautiful scenery. The garden benches were perfect for taking a break and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The garden is divided into several parts, including the rose and rock gardens, double herbaceous borders, the pond and river walks, the organic fruit and vegetable garden, and wild Ireland, the native conservation area. The National Botanical Gardens of Ireland is a premier scientific institution that contains important collections of plant species and cultivars from all over the world. Entry is free, so it's a great place to visit with family or friends. I would highly recommend visiting National Botanical Gardens to anyone who loves nature and wants to experience the beauty of Ireland.

Excellent performance! educational, compelling and interesting. Do not be put off by the location as you will be very much surprised! The Castle has great decor and is very well put together. You are entertained through out! You meet different actors as you walk through the castle and each character tells you their story and educates you about Bram Stoker and the life he lived. The magic show was mind blowing! I wont give too much away! If you are looking for a fun, unique, educational night out then this is the place!! definitely something different and would recommend for all ages!

(Translated by Google) Very entertaining, but more of a magic show. I find it misleading to call something Dracula Experience, where you don't get to see any vampire actors / characters. Suitable for fans of magic demonstrations. For everyone else rather disappointing ... Absolutely stunning. We did have to get a taxi to visit the gardens from where we were but it was absolutely worth it. The gardens were so gorgeous and I appreciated that they had signs on so many of the plants to identify them. Lots of fun nature to see as well - magpies, fat squirrels that come up to you to beg for food, storks, ducks, etc. The conservatories had more exotic plants (cacti, palms and more). At the end we just found a bench to sit on and relax. Gorgeous.

Gorgeous day out. The gardens are stunning and so well kept. Lovely seating areas and perfect for a family picnic. The car park is small so I would recommend to go early, it's one car out and one car in system. We visited Arlington Cemetery that's beside the gardens which was beautiful too. The only downside was the cafe had run out of sandwiches come 2 O clock, I would recommend the cafe in Arlington instead. Overall a great day out!

The place was brilliant. There were many different plants in there, such as cacti, tropical plants like pitcher plants and coffee , and African and Australian plants as well. The greenhouses were quite big, and some of them had decorations in them like the hut that can be seen in some of my photos. It's really lovely to see all the plants that wouldn't normally grow here. The place looked clean and looked after as well, so it was up to standard. A place you should go to if you take an interest in plants or gardens.

Castle Dracula was a truly spectacular experience. It was a great balance of different kind of acts and the very talented actors and actresses were amazing and really made us, the audience, feel like a part of the performance. Me and my friends talked about it for hours afterward, eagerly discussing every bit of every act. It is very much worth its price and I highly recommend this event for anyone living in or visiting Dublin. I know I will, to my friends back in Sweden.

Visited Castle Dracula with my husband and my sister on October 30th. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. It was from 7-9pm and broken by an interval. The first half was wonderfully spooky, terrifying and thrilling at the same! We screamed, ran and laughed our way around the incredible set! The second part was enthralling, with an amazing magic show at the end that left our minds blown! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here and have been raving about it to our friends since! Highly recommend!

A few friends and I went to visit Castle Dracula and were pleasantly surprised, as we arrived in a gym we did not know what to expect. As we entered the castle we knew we were in for an eventful night! I loved the magic show and all the crazy characters we met along the way! did not stop laughing and screaming! great night out.

A large oasis of beauty and calm. It is very picturesque, and I would recommend a visit by people of all ages. Very useful name signs on most plants and trees makes learning a joy. The Tours are free and delivered by interested qualified OPW staff.

Amazing green area in the heart of Dublin. Full of colour and wildlife. Victorian glasshouses. Snacks available, toilets open. Free entry. Limited parking. Go early in the morning for peace, solitude and parking.

This place is always so relaxing for me...I love the fresh air...the sounds of the bees on the flowers...the different blooming flowers every different seasons. It's free of charge to get into the gardens and there are washrooms if you need to use a bathroom.

Outstanding. Just wonderful environment for exploring trees and sculpture. We dropped in to deliver and install for Cunningham-Bell, and the experience was delightful. Well done to all for such an incredible collection and event in ‘Sculpture in Context 2021’.

Even though the glass houses were closed due to Covid it is still a beautiful spot in the middle of the city. Perfect for a stroll and a peaceful time out. It was in the middle of December and still so many flowers were blooming and the bees and butterflys were flying around. Lovely!

It's a magic place! Colours, smells and sounds make you relaxed. The garden is very cured and tidy, you can see thousands species of plants and flowers from everywhere in the world. I attended a free tour guided, the guide Jeal was amazing, she gave us a lot of information and we smelled different plants. A beautiful experience! Highly recommended 👍

Such beautiful place! Well worth the visit. It was a pity I could see everything. Might need 2 hours or so to see the whole garden.

Such a beautiful nature especially that greenhouses are finally opened. Really enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend you visit!

Amazing place. Crazy how much diverse plants can be. The different greenhouses offer all the different tropical or unregional plants from all over the world's which for most of them I didn't know existed. The outside areas are also lovely, but preferably to be visited on a sunny day.

What a wonderful place with many flowers in bloom. We did our own walking tour of Dublin and the gardens were certainly worth our 3km walk with some helpful locals showing us where to go Some of the greenhouses are still not accessible but that did not detract from the rest of the well maintained gardens and grounds. We wished we could have spent a bit more time here

Great botanic Gardens near the Glasnevin cemetery (or inside? I don't know) It's a really pleasant walk to do since it's kinda huge and mostly green. You can find a lot of botanical species and different themed greenhouses. They are also a lot of differents animals like turtles, ducks (and a beautiful mandarin duck!) and squirrels. They are wild but probably pretty used to humans since you can manage to approach them. I even saw people feeding them. It's also totally free so it's a nice place to visit for an afternoon. We spent a really nice afternoon on there.

First-timer visiting the gardens. Its a beautiful place to enjoy the summer. Magnificent trees, good walking paths, ducks and birds, squirrels by the little lake were lovely to watch.

It's free! Great location and layout. Very professionally tended and you can really see the employee's care about the work they do. It's fantastic on a nice day and has a great atmosphere. One drawback is the carpark it's very small and holds very few cars so arriving early is a must, otherwise parking in nearby Glasnevin village is a good option and just walking 5 minutes to the gardens. They also hold both free and paid events(around 5 euros) every month but they fill up fast. I haven't been to any of the events yet as they restrict the numbers and only hold them for one day. All in all a great day out and pleasant experience, recommended if you're in the area!

A lovely Saturday well spent in tge Botanical garden. Maps available at the service center near entrance for €1. Loved the squirrels wandering around, very cute and friendly. Loved the swans as well. Guided tours available for 5 euros see first photo uploaded with my review.

What a wonderful find! This is, without doubt, the best botanical garden I have ever seen. Admission is free, the grounds are extensive and immaculate, plus there is a visual surprise around almost every corner. There are a couple of cafes but prices are high and the food is adequate. However, getting a sandwich to go and eating it on a bench, providing it's sunny, is a wonderful thing.

Lovely park and walks in Dublin city. Lots of trees and flowers with descriptions on little plaques. Nice cafe on site. Plenty of ducks and Swans on the water with lovely little bridges. The Glasnevin cemetery is adjacent also with a lot of famous Irish peoples memorials.

I started my holiday in Dublin here after the flight over it was a beautiful calming place to walk around. I was thrilled to see the carnivorous plants straight away since I'm a bit of a plant nerd. The greenhouses are beautiful and the plants are so well cared for. I would definitely go back.

Beautiful garden, buildings and glasshouse. I would highly recommend this garden. The day I attended the garden had rain showers, it was still beautiful to see. I'm looking forward to going back to the garden, hopefully with no rain!!!!! The restaurants nice, but pricey.
