If you are looking for a Catholic Church in the heart of Dublin City, this is it. This church is literally tucked in right by all the branded stores, in the busy Dublin City. Going in this church, you would feel like you are transported to a place that is far away from the hustle and bustle that the city has to offer. There is daily mass as well as daily allotted time for confession. Just the ambience that the church offers is beyond comforting. Even if you are not a Christian and you are looking for a place to sit alone and contemplate/meditate, you needn’t stop yourself from going in. This church is perfect.

Upon arrival in Ireland, one of the first things we needed to do was attend Sunday Mass. St. Teresa's Church was within easy walking distance from our hotel so choosing to attend Mass there was an easy one to make. The church was very nice but the altar area was glorious, in my opinion. What made it so wonderful to me was the altar design itself. Below the altar surface was a display area, within which was a statue of Jesus, after he was removed from the cross. I thought the pose of Jesus was a touching one and the wounds in his feet, his one hand, and his side are clearly visible. What enhanced this scene for me was the sight of the Tabernacle, centered directly behind the altar. Looking at the altar gives you a view of Jesus in death below the altar, and the risen Jesus, contained within the Tabernacle behind the altar. To me this was a wonderful reminder that Jesus died for us, rose from the dead, opening the gates of heaven for all of us who follow his teaching. I enjoyed attending Mass in this church but how could I not, my Lord and Savior is physically located within.

Architecturally splendid city centre church lovingly cared for by Carmelite priests. The sung mass on Sundays runs a close second to Palestrina choir in Pro Cathedral. If you are a lover of latin head for Pro if not stay with magnificent voices & organ playing in Clarendon Street. Also do view the beautiful sculpture of the dying Christ by Hogan under the high altar. A very busy welcoming church with very well delivered liturgy.

St Teresa’s Church is an oasis of peace, a beautiful old church, in central Dublin off Grafton Street. Well worth a visit for prayer and reflection.

In the middle of a busy shopping district, this Carmelite church is an oasis of peace. I recently brought some U.S. visitors, they loved it too. Gorgeously decorated, it is a spiritual place. One can pause here and weigh up what's important!
