Great experience ,dining in Chimes!. We went on a late Saturday night. Started with a cocktail wich was really well made!.. very friendly staff...🍸 Menu... too many good options! Chef himself visited us at table and helped with selection and suggestions. Not sure if somehow he was reading our minds !!!! All the food from Entres to mains arrived in right time and was cooked to perfection! Tandoori Mushrooms, lamb cutlets and chicken tikka as entre were allllll so yummy! Meats were soft, juicy and melted in your mouth! Main we ordered butter chicken, I had them before either too thick, too dry, too watery! But this one was THE BEST BUTTER CHICKEN I ever had. Vibrant colour, juicy chicken and creamy!!!! Don't miss out... We also ordered another lamb dish by suggestion of the Chef himslef which was a new experience, but yummy!!.you could say all were fresh ingredients! And last meal, ICE CREAMS!!!😍 It is obvious the Chef knows his business and stuff. We appreciated the fact that he engaged himself into our dining expereince and took it to the next level! He also invited us to complimentary shots of liquor as we were the last to leave!!!!! So Compliment to the Chef, Garuv, thanks for great Indian dining experience.keep up the good work! We will definitely come back with more people!!!! (They also do functions as buffet, and forgot to say music was really great!!!)

A great Indian restaurant with amazing menu. All the food we tried were all delicious and yummy in tummy. Chicken tikka, butter chicken, beef vindaloo to note a few among the vast menu. All freshly made and I must say the chef knows his business when it comes to Indian dishes. The Nans especially the butter and cheese ones are so yummy and will melt in your tummy. They have many other varieties of Indian breast and rice as well. They have a great collection of wines, beer and hard liquor. And have coffee bar indoors. The choice of desserts are limited but are delicious. Gulan jamun with ice cream, the different verities kulfies, carrot halwa to name a few. A great place for couples, family and bachelors. The staff is very friendly and make you feel home. The ambience is good with instrumental bolly wood classics playing in the background. 10kms off Melbourne CBD in Balwyn North, is worth a drive to enjoy the delicacy. 5 stars for the food and hospitality. Great Indian restaurant. Have been getting food for many years and absolutely love it. With so many choices to pick from, the Butter Chicken is still my favorite. Have dined in many times and find the atmosphere very relaxing. If it's a cold wintery day, I get it delivered. Always fresh and so tasty makes you want more. I also can't go past without getting some roti bread as delicious to have with my food.

We had great time at banaras Indian restaurant yesterday ,I must say that food was very tasty,quality was superb,chicken tikka was so delicious,I had chicken tikka before in other restaurants but this restaurant chicken is so yummy juicy and delicious. Their food quality and freshness speaks itself. I had chefs specialise tiki chaat and pani puri , it was so delicious,mains was also so so good that you will not stop liking your fingers 😄 special Ice cream,I never had ice cream like this before,suberb 👏👏 Staff was so friendly and welcoming🤗 you guys are doing great job 👍so keep it up, we will come back again and I will definitely recommend to everyone. (We went as a group of 6 people )To be honest, stunned with the food authenticity , even though I am vegetarian but paneer tikka , harra bhara kabab , samosa , pani puri was just perfection. We also request for Soya chaap that was out of the menu, and that was mouth watering. We loved every item that we ordered. Also, The chef/boss of the restaurant was very welcoming and kind. Great experience.

It was our wedding anniversary. The amazing staff (Praveen) and chef (Gurvinder) made our evening really special. The food was delicious and hospitality was wonderful. Ambience was also really good so I'm definitely going there again and will recommend Indian food lovers to visit this restaurant.

We went there with friends on two consecutive days and had a variety of foods from the menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, freshness and taste of the food. The staff were very polite and attentive and the chef made time to come out and meet us. So far, I haven’t had Indian food this good anywhere in Australia. Way to go Banaras….

We went on Friday night. It was quite a busy but the exceptional Banaras team services exceeded our expectations. It was a truly amazing experience, the food quality is 10/10 and the taste which cannot be compared with any other Indian restaurant. A go to dinner place for many more weekends with a taste of great wine:)

Hands down the best Indian restaurant this side of town ! I recently dined at this restaurant with a group of friends and it was truly an exceptional experience. We ordered a fair few dishes but for me the grills were the best . The chicken tikka masala had tender marinated chicken pieces with aromatic spices , grilled to perfection . The chicken malai tikka was melt in the mouth succulent and , true to the menu description, not at all creamy . The paneer tikka was chargrilled just right served on a bed of grilled onions and peppers . The Amritsari fish was crispy and bursting with flavours.😊 My friends loved the daal and yes , the ever faithful butter chicken . The tandoori rotis and naans were fresh as can be and the garlic naan deserves a special mention . Serving size is ample and dishes are very reasonably priced . Have come to know that is under new management from a month ago and I wish the owners and the chef all the best 👍

We had the Groupon deal. For starter we had Andhra chicken. Mains was Palak Paneer and Lamb Madras ended with house made Pista kulfi. Food was delicious. Gravies not greasy at all. Lamb was nicely cooked in good southern style coconut gravy. Friendly n pleasant staff. Definitely recommended

It was all a bit nondescript. In terms of entrees the chicken tikka was sizeable and tender (tick) but not overly flavourful and the Amritsari fish was over cooked. For main I had butter chicken and the sauce lacked the thickness you usually encounter and wasn’t as creamy as I often experience and prefer. The garlic naan visually looked as though it would be really garlicky but didn’t taste particularly so. Overall I found the experience underwhelming thought other diners enjoyed their vegetarian dishes
