The location, the restaurant decor and ambiance promised a lot. Beautifully build with ample space and quirky decor. Large images on the walls and a long bar welcomes you into a vast space with a home feel. The food was rustic and the service was good. The starters were appetising-the croquettes and the vietnamese rolls were good. The mains could be a bit more refined. The duck leg was overcooked and quite dry and the beef was quite greasy and also overcooked and finess in presentation was definately missing. I was very surprised when I tried the stuffed red peppers and they were absolutely fantastic. I should have ordered them as they would certainly have left me happier. The desserts had the home feel too. I liked the cinamon crème brulée with the bisquit as the apple crumble was a little underwhelming for me. Perhaps cooking for a corporate event might have been a bit overwhelming and i would like to try it again in more relaxed settings. If you are in the area i think it's worth poping by for a rustic bite in this beautiful place.

Stella’s Kitchen is located on the iconic Montague Estate in Narre Warren Sth, near Lysterfield Park (where the access point to mountain bike trails are). The premises itself is modern, light and sits comfortably in the natural landscape with sweeping views overlooking the apple orchards. There’s ample parking onsite, plenty of indoor and outdoor dining and takeaway options as well as a fabulous produce store selling providore items, gifts, apple cider and juice, together with a wide variety of the apples and seasonal fruits, fresh from Montague’s orchard. We tried some of the Montague Envy apples and plums, which were delicious! We dined in for brunch, just before 11am. The restaurant was busy, but we were greeted within minutes and promptly seated. The waitress pre-warned us that the kitchen was short staffed and there would be a wait for our meals and coffee, which didn’t bother us. The coffees arrived within half and hour (they were spot on) and the meals were delayed as expected, but communication from our waitress was excellent and she offered a free drink while we waited. We enjoyed a house sparkling apple juice, which was refreshing and super tasty. The meals themselves were well executed and presented, despite the kitchen being short staffed (it didn’t impact on the quality and presentation of our meals). The mushrooms and smashed avo were delicious and the eggs cooked to perfection! The amenities were clean and well stocked and everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. We can’t wait to return to try the dinner menu.

Had a really nice lunch here today. Had the chicken and mushroom scallopini. The presentation was outstanding, and so was the marsala sauce. Had a nice flat white as well. Next time, I will try breakfast.

This is a modern, contemporary build with a large bar, fire place and enormous dining space. We had a corporate dinner there and our feel is that there is place for improvement with regards the food. There were dishes very fat and oily and the food was not refined. We got the rustic vibe but the execution of the dishes were a bit hit and miss.

We had a great experience at Stella's kitchen. Beautiful setting, friendly staff & great food. Tables are kind of tightly packed so imagine it would get quite loud & cramped during busy periods. But was lovely for a weekday brunch

Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Food: 3.5/5 Service: 2.5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Beautiful location, views out to the orchard and stunning natural lighting throughout the whole venue. The few times that I have come here the service has been so so slow. The other pet peeve is if you're not after full meals but rather coffee and scones, the service is not as welcoming and rush you out (but I guess it's just business). Strangely when you're there for full meals, the wait times are long! It is on the pricier side but I suppose it it justified by being such a unique venue and the only one anywhere near this location next to Lysterfield Lake. Definitely has potential to be 5/5 starting with refining the service quality and speed. Scones are delicious here with "real jam"! Do check out the produce & gift store on the way out, lots of goodies!

Very nice place to come and enjoy a meal. Great service, great food. It has a cosy feel to it. The venue itself is very classy and very modern. Would be great to have a party here! The food was really nice, flavours were amazing. And portions where worth the money. I don't think it's too expensive, our meals were around the $30 each. All up a great place to come and have a drink and some food.

Stella’s could easily be 5 stars and I think they are working hard on it. I’m sure they will get there soon. My only gripe was insufficient toast with my eggs and charging me $2.20 for the extra unbuttered slice. But a generous serving of eggs. Oh well, I hope they read the review and take notice. Otherwise a great place and setting. Granola was excellent with generous milk serving on the side. I love prana chai which is strong and that is what I got. Great little grocery store attached along with a takeaway cafe. Very nice garden to walk around plus you can go walk off the breakfast around lysterfield lake afterwards. Lysterfield park is close by. All in all I recommend it if you’re close by. A great breakfast place.

Dropped in for breakfast after a hike in Lysterfield Park. Was super impressed with the place from the modern architecture to the internal ambiance. The staff were friendly and service excellent. The mushroom brekkie served was the best breakfast anyone has served me in years it looked and tasted great. Thanks Stella!

I'm so glad I stopped to check out Stella's Kitchen after my hike around Lysterfield Park. What a gem! A sprawling building housing both the restaurant and produce store all sourced locally. I had a wonderful coffee and creamy garlic prawns with rice. My only complaint is that although the dish was so creamy, there was hardly any garlic in the prawns. Staff were gems too, attentive and friendly

We had the pleasure of dining in at Stella’s for lunch over the long weekend. It was so busy but without feeling like you were bustled in with everyone. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous, the staff are so friendly and the owner came over for a chat as well. Your food is cooked as ordered so there is a short wait time, but believe me it is worth it! The meal portions were so big we couldn’t finish everything but we all agreed it was the best meal we had in a long time! Highlight recommend the beef brisket burger 10/10 !! The store has so many different varieties of apples and other produce as well, we left with a bounty of treats to tie off a really great dining experience. We will definitely be back! ☺️

I had a delightful experience at Stella's Kitchen. The lunch, especially the creamy Garlic prawns and Duck Salad, was superb. The portion sizes were generous, filling us up quickly. The ambiance, both indoors and outdoors, added to the overall charm. The option to purchase fresh produce was a delightful surprise, and the fruits were exceptionally fresh and delicious. Being conveniently located next to Lysterfield Park makes it an ideal spot for a meal followed by a leisurely walk. Can't wait to go back!

What a beautiful establishment - a restaurant, a cafe, a fresh produce & gift store, an orchard, a view & all situated a walk away from Lysterfield lake. We walked in without a booking & they quickly found us a table. (Lots of outdoor seating) Great service! The menu has a variety to choose from, our meals were exceptionally fresh & tasty, packed with flavour. The🍎 🍏 juice is a must try, you won’t be disappointed! Plenty to see outside around the grounds whilst enjoying nature. Lots of parking & a walk around the Lake is a bonus. I look forward to going back & trying more of their dishes.
