Riverside Park

Tourist attraction β€’ City park

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Fabulous park, the kids spent over 2 hours playing and then I had to tear them away. There are toilets (exeloo, in reasonably good condition), water taps, bench seats, i think covered picnic tables, a second playground with lots of climbing equipment etc, and even a little local library. Great place... People often mention park, Great, kids, playground, picnic, river, ship, great, pirate, tables,

Walking is my favorite form of exercise, and riverside park is one of the best walking trails I've been to in Australia, and lots of things for the kids to play on. I liked it very much.

What an awesome playground for the little and big kids. Everybody was having such a wonderful time... that is until the mutiny happened. The kids got together "lord of the flies" style and kicked the adults overboard, which was fine because it was in sand. They then made a bunch of demands and took our phones and jewellery. One of them even managed to get rum somehow. Although that might have been a little person posing as one of the pirate children. It all got a bit out of hand after that. At least they put the fires out and contained most of the pint sized bandits.

Healthy for walking and jogging. Beware of the bicycles and dog poop. Apply sunscreen and insect repellent before coming. You can go fishing, too.

Riverside Park is a beautiful park down by the river. I walk there regularly when visiting family in the area.

Good park for kids but very little parking and people taking the tables from very early on in the day and holding all day for an arvo event.

Would've been the perfect place if the toilets weren't out of order!

Hopeless parking space.. Had a picnic with 20 friends last Saturday. Some of us had to park outside the park.. carried our picnic gear, chairs, drinks, cutlery from 200m distance. We are all retired senior citizens in our 70's suffering from arthiritis etc. Then some of us were hit by parking fines even though we did not park ON the Boulevard. Not happy at all!!!

Great views, cool place to hang out. Watch out for the late night scooters that shine their lights into car windows and spray grass on the cars, stupid kids.

Great selection of Playgrounds along the River Walk. But this is the highlight! The Black Sapphire is a MUST for any wanna be Pirates! Great all ages selection. Even better for the sounds of birds and scenery.

A great way to entertain the children without any costs involved except your time and supervision. The pirate ship is really great and there is a slide nearby for older children.

Lovely place to walk & take your dog πŸ˜ƒ A decent amount of shade trees too! The children's playground there is really nice...especially the pirate ship πŸ˜‰ There is a public toilet near the playground. There is also a number of drinking fountains (with dog bowl attached) & bins along the walkway. Mostly flat except in one part where it could be an effort with a wheelchair. There is parking at the playground including disabled...however it is a very popular spot & it fills quickly! You can park also opposite aberfeldie park & cross over onto it.

Great local park. Looks great with river in background. Not a great deal of shade over swings and climbing area. There are only 2 swings. There is a pirate ship and rope climbing area. There are a few undercover areas with tables/benches, handy for birthday parties or if serving some food.

  • 4/5 David O. 2 years ago on Google
The kids love this park. The pirate ship sparks their imagination. A really good community library gives a chance for kids of all ages to pick up a book. Do bring the kids and any books to swap and unwind.

Toilets + park, a pirate ship, a good one for the kids and close to the river, but far enough back from the water that you're not stressing about then running to the water
