First time eating there. Really friendly service. The place is being renovated, so it's a bit of a worksite that lets in cold air. Chicken Parma full size is big, but a bit bland. The gnocchi was fluffy and big, but the sauce fairly plain. Fish of the day lovely. Steak sandwich was nice - with onion rings! Salami pizza is spicy and the base delightful and fluffy. Beef burger was good. Average prices. Popular with locals and family friendly.

Their Parma is next level and not your regular type! Really large servings - my wife and I shared their half serving (we're small eaters) and still were stuffed! $23 for a parma shared. Amazing value on their parma night.

Someone get us out of here!!! Tuesday night steak night family booking. 6.30pm table for 5pax 2 kids rcvd meals just on the 40 minute wait. 1x Porterhouse which was “just right” the 2nd meal the “Hangar Steak” chefs special, served cut up and looked like beef stir fry. The poor kid was so hungry from wait, needed to eat it but so upset his steak looked like scrap left overs - they should arm you with this simple information when ordering a steak 🥩 When mum got hers another 10 mins later she swapped her Porterhouse meal over - sending childs back and he happily ate hers. 3rd child did not get his chewy Porterhouse until 8.11pm!! He was so patient considering. We asked staff 4/5 times. Staff were overwhelmed tonight. We understood just watching the room and witnessing several complaints. Staff cannot fix this. Don’t believe a floor mgr was avail this evening to relate any updates etc Clearly not their best night in the kitchen. Poor kid. Final meal replacement came out 8.35pm. Sorry 2hrs for a family steak night debacle! Mother was offered a refund. The child should be offered refund waiting that long and eating by themselves. Highly recommend not going on a Tues. Compliments to the young staff they worked hard and 1 went out of his way to make sure meals were delivered in the end 🙏

Here’s a sad tale dear friends. Went in there 4:01pm for happy hour. Now despite it being written everywhere as happy hour Friday’s 4-7 was told that due to recent lockdowns happy hour is now full price to make up money. Pointed at the sign said that sign says otherwise and old mate is not having a bar of it. However, Postmaster across the road with their happy hour 4-6 follows through on their promises and with cheaper beers. 10/10 would postmaster again

Love the Tuesday steak night. $20 for rump and Congress with salad and steak chips. Thursday parma night is also great value at $20. The parma was huge and available in a variety of sauces.

Very friendly service. Reasonable prices and decent menu for all tastes. Chicken Parma is huge (full serve), but was a bit bland. Gnocchi very soft, but sauce also could do with some more flavour. Salami pizza was good - love the fluffy base. Steak sandwich decent with onion rings! Barramundi fillet nicely done, and brie bowl very nice. Undergoing renovations at the moment, so a bit chilly in places, but will be better when done. Easy access via Woolies carpark.

A great spot for summer food and drinks with your mates! The rooftop is covered but still holds the vibes and has great lighting! Super cool set up and great share plate options! The staff are lovely too! ☺️

We came here on a warm evening to enjoy a steak. Loved the big juicy steaks and chips with great selection of hot sauces and mustard. Busy casual atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. Prices were good for the serving size.

Stumbled across this pub after moving into the area and noticed the Thursday specials. Pub also has live sport and TAB facilities. A patron told me the machines didn't work however. Great feed, hit the spot. Only downside was they had sat us in the backroom without a booking and chips were cold when arrived.

Biggest parmas you’ve ever seen! The wait staff were fantastic and accommodating our last minute walk in group (thank you). Under reno’s but still old school and cruisey place to go for a bite, catch up with friends and shoot pool.

Great place to hang out with your mates or kids. I went to watch the ANZAC day match and see the Pies dominate the Dons and the staff were helpful and food and drinks reasonably priced and quality. Check out the size of the Parma! Fed my three kids and a free pot for me, for $20 that’s amazing!

Came here for for Parma night on Thursday. Huge Parmy and chips! all sorts of flavours + a pot of beer all for $20. Really busy with bookings for sit down tables so went out to sun area with the pool table and the sports on the tv. Food was decent, filling and the beers on tap are good. Mixed clientele with some families etc. Overall pretty happy with this place. Would recommend for a big feed and a good beer

I've been visiting the Skinny Dog for almost 20 years now. During that time it has undergone several transformations but it's later iteration is undoubtedly its best. The downstairs area remains spacious but comfortable. But the upstairs beer garden is where the venue really shines, especially when the sun is doing likewise. The food is good quality and the upstairs dining area is very refined for a pub. All this continues to make the Skinny Dog the best pub in the local area.

The "Bob" parma was a huge serving and tasted like a chizza. Absolutely delicious.

As good as it looked, it was the worst parma I've ever had. Just when I thought a parma from pancake parlour couldn't get any worse I get rewarded with this. This parma was extremely dry. So dry I didn't even think it was possible for chicken to be this dry, I couldn't even finish it. I thought maybe if I worked my way into the centre it would be more moist.. nope, cardboard. Salad was also terrible.. greens were wilted and dressing bland. The only reason I'm giving it a star is because the chips and beers were decent. To have "Our famous skinny dog parmagiana" on their menu is an embarrassment. Extremely disappointed, I will not be returning.

Very wheelchair friendly and accessible. Better to call ahead and get a booking and they will have your table ready to go. Fantastic serving size and the food is delicious. Excellent service and the drinks were kept topped up. 10/10 recommend especially for people who need accessibility.

I came in on a Sunday, normally love the place, food was really good as always. The wait and kitchen staff were lovely, but the bar staff were really rude and not approachable. I understand you may be hungover, but cmon. It’s not that difficult on a quiet Sunday afternoon at 6pm to smile and treat your customers with some manners. The bar staff made me feel like I was ruining their night just for ordering a drink, simply not good enough. Disappointing since it’s such a great place

Good selection of beers but not overly exhaustive. Good spot to watch sport or the races and put a bet on. Note that there is no food served in the outdoor area which is designated solely for smoking.

Great new space at the Skinny Dog - upstairs roof top bar area with fab seating and lots of TVs for the sports. Parma was great / pizza a little disappointing. Will be back though for a casual bite and a pint !

Ordered the Signature Skinny Dog Chicken Parma (whole). The crispy chips and salad were a good side to the delicious parma. The 'whole' size is fairly large but manageable if you are hungry. They used a good amount of cheese and sauce and a large slice of ham. The chicken itself was nice and juicy (albeit slightly nearing too juicy) and the right amount of thickness. The sauce, even though plentiful, tasted a bit plain/basic however. Still a delicious dish overall and recommended!

Skinny dog is excellent Friendly staff, great food and watched AFL/races, looking forward to seeing the renovations and rooftop I ordered the schnitzel was elite (and too big)

A pub with significant history and very important to Kew. Food is still not quite there. Menu is a little disjointed. Should have a look at some of the great gastro pubs in Melbourne and stick to that

Honestly the best pub meal. The food is amazing - and I’ve eaten at a lot of pubs. The decor/look of the inside isn’t that nice and not dog friendly at the moment but totally worth it for the food and service. They’re also going through renovations so it will be 10/10 I’m sure once complete.

Impromptu Saturday afternoon, first time visit here. It wasn't crowded, had the footy on a massive screen. Food was good standard pub food and a good choice of tap beer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would have been five stars but it's currently having some renovations done so a bit shabby on decor etc. All in all a good stop. Thankyou 👍

Full Parma ($30) is filling and comes with a good salad and chips. Half Parma was $27 so best to get the full as you can take the leftovers home . Staff were friendly and on point. Parking is next door for two hours free of charge.

Loved the food. Loved the wine. Has a pretty good selection of alcohol including, wines and beers. Only 4 stars because it's under renovations atm. I'm sure once it's done, it'll deserve 5. But I can't believe the size of the chicken schnitzel... huge... I loved it.

Excellent, large meals. Excellent service. Happy and friendly. Repairing inside so dusty air if your being picky. Garden was fantastic. Would go back for sure

I should call it one of the best quality steaks I ever had , try it 👌

Got recommended to head here for a Parma... it was monsterous... but seems to be a case of quantity over quality. Was dry and pretty stingy on the ham. Ordered a brownie for dessert after... again very dry. More of a chocolate sponge cake than a brownie. Bit disappointed. The atmosphere and venue seem nice though.

I have frequently visited this pub over the years however I won’t be coming back. I walked in early this evening and asked for a table for 4 people, the person behind the bar asked someone else, who I can only imagine was in charge, however after not even checking she just pointed to the bar area and said you can find somewhere and sit over there, she didn’t even make any eye contact and completely making myself and my family feeling like our custom was not valued. We walked straight out and to the pub across the road where the staff were friendly and welcoming and a complete breath of fresh air compared to the horrendously unfriendly staff we had encountered at the skinny dog.

I don’t know what happened to my favourite Parma joint :/ this used to be my favourite place to come but today I was served a crusty, overcooked, dry, reheated(???) parma when the rest of the people I came with were served a normal looking parma. Upon bringing this up with the waitress, she said “oh, you should have said something when you were served it”. Sorry for giving this sad looking parma a chance. You’ve also changed the gravy on me </3. What is this foul pepper concoction you’ve created? Photos include the parma I was served vs the Parma my friend was served.
