Just moved into the area and booked an appointment at hawthorn Medical, was very easy and got a non urgent booking within 2 days. Arrived for my appointment and the reception ladies were very welcoming. I saw Dr Alison Ryan who was lovely and answered all questions. Highly recommend.

Fast, efficient and quality advice

Reception staff were very helpful in arranging a short-notice phone consultation, as I had just developed Covid and required antivirals. Dr Taher was professional and helpful, as always. As a retired health professional, I can say that I have great confidence in this practice.

When you need healthcare, Hawthorn Medical are there and waiting to go that extra mile. The whole team are committed and willing to help you. The GP's listen and are willing to meet you where you are at. In my opinion, for quality medical services, you can't go past the team at Hawthorn Medical.

I have always struggled to find good GPs in the past 11 years since I arrived in Australia. Dr Mathuraa is one of the two GPs that I truely feel they are wonderful that I’ve encounterd in Melbourne. She is very attentive, listening to my issues properly with care to assess my health conditions. She is knowledgeable. I’m glad that I’ve found her close to my place and now I know who I need to go to when I have health issues.

My whole family has been seeing Dr Holden for many years. Always professional, very knowledgeable and good with kids. I would highly recommend him and Hawthorn Medical in general.

My family and I have been patient’s of Hawthorn Medical since they opened and have been very happy with the service to date. Dr Karen Choong has been amazing in seeing our whole family. Even though we have moved out of the area we still visit the clinic for our healthcare needs because of this high level of care.

This is such a great surgery. Everyone we have interacted with here is friendly, professional and really understanding. We will definitely be using Hawthorn Medical as our family doctor going forward. At my recent visit with my child, I was made to feel at ease and the doctor we saw gave me plenty of time for questions, was empathetic and sincere and made sure I could follow up if anything else came to mind. It’s these small things that make a big difference to feeling more like a person in a situation that can often be rushed and stressful.

This was my first experience at Hawthorn Medical and I went there on a recommendation. I saw Dr Krishna and he was fantastic. I haven't had that level of care in my adult life. Thanks very much, I will be back.

Just like all of these multi-practitioner clinics, the experience is as good as the person you see. I have had two very delightful consultations with two compassionate, patient and caring Doctors here - Dr Young and Dr Taher. Unfortunately my daughter got sick over the weekend and the reception booked us in to the earliest appointment that was available on Monday - for which we are grateful for. Disappointingly that compassion, patience and caring didn’t come through from the third doctor. Over 30 minutes late, no pleasantries, she man-handled my incredibly shy 2-year old daughter (who had no issues with the checks the other doctors completed previously), and before asking what the symptoms were or any background she launched into prescribing antibiotics. Disappointing bedside manner and particularly from someone who’s touted on the website as having children and paediatric interests.

I went for 15 mins consultation with GP and paid expensive cost only to be told something that i already knew (basic thing). My mom back home have similar condition as me but the doctor there prescribed her with proper medicine, while mine only to be told that it will goes away by itself 🤦🏻‍♀️ Such a waste of money & time.

Amazing experience, was my first time in Hawthorn medical, the personals are really welcome from the lady in reception to the doctor, the place is clean, and have some equipment to attetand the kids, my little 4years old boy enjoyed doing some drawing during my consultation, the doctor take time to listen you and to make sure you are okay, first concerning the COVID symptoms for the safety of All, then listen carefully what are your symptoms and examine you to make sure of what you described....I attended to get the medical certificate after mixing my important English test, for my nursing school, which I wasn't able to rescheduled if no proof of that medical certificate. The doctor who did my consultation that day did not just write down my medical certificate, he takes time to Ask me why I wasn't able to attend that English test and how I'm feeling, as I was feeling kind of down concerning my energy he checked my blood pressure and prescribed me to go do blood test to make of was going...O did really appreciated him doing that... that Day I did not be able to pay for my medical consultation fees, as students and single mum he arranged for me to still be consulted and asked just for my Medicare number and explain me about the Hawthorn medical is private for me to know for next time, was nice and appreciate from them. I totally recommend Hawthorn medical and I will definitely go back there myself.

I have been to a few doctor clinics in my years but this is the best managed clinic I’ve ever seen doctors run on time & if it’s a Telly health they are on time with their calls especially Doctor Sarah Taher she’s very caring & no rushing you out , gives you time you need with professional care great team Sue

DOCTORS and nurse are very professional and efficient. Ambience good, but the front entrance door needs to be more sensitive. Receptionist could be better to offer to any help to clients even for simplest of things in card payment procedure and any necessary documentation.

Visited the clinic for the first time today. I moved suburbs and my old GP was too far away. I saw Dr Sara and she was amazing! She was very attentive & intuitive (more so then my old GP), I walked out feeling heard and on the right path. Highly recommend.

Dr Sunny Krishna has been my GP for just over two years. Dr Krishna has provided me with the highest level of care, often going over and above what any person could reasonably expect. Dr Krishna's professional, personable and highly educated approach to treatment is refreshing to say the least.

Dr Sunny Krishna is a very good doctor, he puts you at ease and is very knowledgeable. A plus for my case, he was a physiotherapist. I can only recommend him! And the girl at the reception was lovely too!

One of the most expensive GPS around, and always always the longest wait times with no valid explanation as to why. Poor scheduling seems to be the main problem. Twice I've had to leave as I couldn't wait any longer and then rebook
