Really good café situated in the heart of Adeney Avenue, right in front of the tennis club and local Kew football and cricket clubs. It can get very busy on the weekend, and the other peak times are in the mornings. The coffees and toasties are really nice. They used to have the salmon bagel but don’t have it anymore which was my favourite and before local cricket matches, i would order these every Saturday before going across to VIC Park to watch the cricket. One other recommendation is the chicken schnitzel. Overall really good service and friendly staff. The prices are also reasonably affordable.

Atrocious coffee, excellent pancakes and rosti, average eggs benny, good service and convenient parking. There’s always a weekend crowd grabbing takeaway coffee, though I was thoroughly disappointed. The long black tasted extremely bitter and burnt. It wasn’t palatable. The cappuccino was overly milky and had a very thin layer of foam. The flat white was milky too and probably the only one that could pass as coffee. 0/5. The pancakes were fantastic and the side of bacon requested crispy were very crispy. The side of Rosti was really crispy and delicious too. However the Eggs Benny was quite average with just too much going on. 3/5 Service was great and the team was polite and friendly. There’s lots of parking out front. 5/5 With lots of cafes in the area and such a competitive industry, the coffee really needs to be better. Probably will not return even though the pancakes were great.

Adeney Milk Bar Cafe left me utterly disappointed with an experience that can only be described as dismal. The customer service was shockingly dry, resembling a desert devoid of any hospitality oasis. Staff members seemed disinterested, offering a level of interaction that bordered on nonexistent. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer seeking a pleasant experience. The atmosphere only added to the dismay. Far from the cozy ambiance one expects from a cafe, Adeney Milk Bar felt like a scene from a dystopian nightmare only good maybe for take away coffee. The decor screamed neglect, contributing to an overall creepy vibe. To make matters worse, it was disheartening to witness a place with such potential fall into the abyss of poor service, unsettling surroundings, and subpar offerings. Adeney Milk Bar Cafe is an unfortunate example of how neglecting customer experience can turn a potentially charming spot into a regrettable pitstop.

Service was simply awful. Servers were more interested in talking to each other and the barista then taking orders out. The kitchen rang a bell over and over again. The servers seemed content with talking to each other for a significant amount of time before deciding to pick up my food which was then cold

I’ve visited this cafe approximately on 5 occasions, twice for eating in. The first time I went it wasn’t busy with customers, yet we had to go inside the cafe to ask for some menus and then again to order our food. Staff were more interested in having social chats than serving customers and clearing tables. As you can see, poor customer service is a common theme on some of these reviews. Revisited again for takeaway coffees as we like to visit the park across the road. They always get my partners coffee order slightly wrong but we never say anything as he feels awkward saying anything. Went back again today. This time they get my order wrong and name wrong (called out Daniel) despite spelling it out to the staff member. Went back to query my order as my coffee was super sweet - I don’t have sugar. They insisted they got it right. I know what their Almond coffee taste like without sugar as I’ve had it several times. Their response was “so you want me to make another one for you” - saying it like it was my fault and I was an inconvenience. They were not nice about it so I said no and threw it in the bin. If you’re looking for nicer coffee and customer service go to Tru coffee on Burke Road. Bean Thief do great coffee too.

Nice spot for a coffee. Open a bit later in the afternoon than others which is handy. Lovely golden chai and I got a lovely refreshing coffee berry tea over ice. Nice peanutbutter protein ball for a mid afternoon snack.

Overall 3.5 Lovely spot with good ambience and great staff. We came for brunch on a Saturday and were able to get a seat easily. Unfortunately the products were pretty average. Coffees use industry beans for their milk beverages. The coffee seemed well made but the result was super milky/weak. The smoothie was nice but also for 9 bucks you'd hope so. The food was on the plus side pretty well sized and not crazy priced. Everything was roughly 20 or less which is low for the area. That being said it was pretty bland.

Good location where park is just around corner, calm, cozy and relaxing. Coffee and chilli scramble are tasty as well. Perfect place to enjoy a sunny day.

Place looked busy so had high hopes but it was a little underwhelmed unfortunately. Wasnt much cohesion between the flavours and they came out lukewarm. Quantity is good though as well as the price point. Maybe what I ordered just wasn't my thing so worth checking out overall.

A tucked away brunch place opposite the kew ovals and cemetay, they have a great cold drip coffee if you ever want that but we went for brunch. I suggest you sit in a more open part of the cafe if you don't want to be forgotten about, but otherwise food is pretty good and well priced and came out all at once!

I had their homemade felafel wrap and it was delicious, nice and warm and crunchy and their matcha latte was very authentic as well. Would come back again!

Cute location and coffee was fine but that's about it. Service was slow and grumpy. I ordered poached eggs on toast. When my food arrived, eggs served on cold bread, I asked if the toast under my eggs was toasted and the waitress said "No?" So that was weird, having to ask for the bread to be taken back to the kitchen to be toasted. We also waited a while to pay at the counter while staff were all having a chat. Maybe an off day? Weird vibes.

Really nice coffee and great chais as well. Generous servings for chips. Great neighbourhood atmosphere. Service is nice but not super warm, which is a shame given it seems to be such a community spot with lots of sporting events all round. Toilets are also not the cleanest.

I have driven past this place so many times and it's always busy. I finally went in today and DELICIOUS breakfast and really good coffee. Was very cosy too and we ended up stayed for >2 hours. Will definitely return!

I was told off by a female staff (not in a very polite manner) not to bring my dog into the cafe (indoor) when I was just by my own (no where to tie the dog leash and no staff helping at outdoor area that time) and I just want to do payment after my breakfast. To avoid all this, it’s better to put a notice outside stating NO dogs allowed to come in. Anyway, now I know I can pay at their take away window. But got to know this in not an enjoyable experience. For dog lovers, please remember to pay at their take away window if you have no one to look after your dogs.

Great coffee and savoury goodies! We love coming here almost every morning to get a coffee before work. Friendly staff and always smiling. The only thing I would recommend is expanding the vegan menu. In terms of mains there isn't much. A salad (need to remove eggs) and oats/muesli. If they would add another vegan option (hot main) that would be amazing and definitely eat here more!
