The best Gym i’ve ever been. They have all the equipments that you need plus the friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Totally agree on the poor communication reviews.Disappointing communication skills from the people in charge of the gym. I have tried to cancel my membership 4 times now, (since March) this year, and I know the gym has been closed a bit because of Covid 19, but every time they open and I tried to get in touch, I was simply just ignored by the people in charge of the gym!

These guys really need to sort out this place. Most of the staff is rude, most times don't even say hi, they talk amongst themselves and ignore people walking in. The toilets always smell so bad, especially the ones at Mount Waverly. It's not that hard to use some bleach and clean things right. You can smell them just from standing outside. They spend all this money on renovations and a new gym and can't even clean the gym right.

Overall nice gym. But I don’t understand why there is a female only area. Why the segregation? If there is a female only area where is the male only area? Why should I pay for something I cannot use. Why I pay the same membership amount so someone else can use their own space ? Thats pretty stupid ! And if you remove the female only area and the useless Pilates room, you could make the best gym ever with more space and equipment

5 star gym. Excellent equipment and plenty of space. Good and welcoming staff. 2 stars taken off due to the stupid music played everyday that spoils my workout. Right in morning most of the songs played here are mostly rap or pop containing vulgar and abusive language and that too so loud that even after wearing my own headphones with noise cancellation on the outside music is still heard. Gym management should consider decent music selection keeping in mind that members are of all ages ranging from teenagers to elderly people. At least set volume to a level that does not disturbs anyone. We are in gym not in a disco. Even if music is off no one cares as 90% of members are wearing their own headphones. I hope management will consider this review and take an immediate action.

The best gym in Mount Waverley and near by suburbs. Great selection of machines and equipment. They have all the equipments that you need. Some said that the toilets are not clean. It is difficult to clean the bathroom after each person. Part of it is on the clients to take care of and part of it is the gym staff responsibility. The staff cannot follow everyone to the bathroom to make sure that they don’t make a mess and clean that up after them. Members are also responsible to keep the bathroom clean. I’ve added photos that show you how people leave their trash in the gym.

Great equipment and venue. Water fountains are chilled and good pressure, always an oversight! Cable machines, plate loaded machines and free weights all set up in a great way. Matched with three lanes for push pull and legs it's easy and machines are pristine. Huge overhead fans are good for ventilation. The mural on the wall is completed. Only downside is now the casuals are still a good price but you get locked in once the staff leave. You have to follow someone out. So I guess you can't come in after the staff go as well now as a casual. Lots of preworkout and protein supplements for sale and in RTD. There's also now a vending machine with meals in it and microwaves to heat that food up.

Great facility, disgusting exit process. I left the gym 6 months ago and I thought I already told the front desk that I wanted to quit a month in advance. No record of that was recorded so many months later I was hit with overdue fees of $187, which I payed in full. THEN 2 months later, they hit me with an overdue fee of $45. Ive payed the $187 in full already, this is absurd.

Really great selection of machines and equipment, unfortunately it's the most unclean gym I've ever been to. Toilets are nasty and nobody ever puts their weights away. Dumbbells are put into a complete random mess on the rack. Could be one of the best gyms if not for these issues

If you are serious about bodybuilding then this is a dream come true. Row after row after row (long rows!) with Hammer Strength machines and equipment. For example, there are more than ten machines that each hit the back differently. And I love the music that is softly, and sometimes not so softly, fills the air with just the right beep to get into the right motivation. It is clean and very well-maintained. Well, they have only one water fountain, and today it was broke, and that is my most serious complaint. And on second thought, my only complaint. I read through the bad reviews and they are from fitness first-like people, not serious about real and hard weight training. And perhaps they are right. Perhaps the customer service is poor, I don't know, I was too busy staring at the weights and salivating. Because that's why I am there, to lift weights. I am a bodybuilder, not a primadonna. And the finale, the price.... and it is surprisingly reasonable. Comparable to anytime fitness, and it has the added benefit of a 19.95 monthly contract with no term. This is the place you drive across Melbourne to experience the feeling of being in a real gym. I trained a few times at Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, California, and this is the closest I have seen so far in Australia. A borderline religious experience, something only understood by those who love and live bodybuilding.

Terrible gym. Alot of people on steroids and walking around with Coke cans under there arms. Equipment was greasy and oily. Bad atmosphere. Not a place for athletes. Staff are extremely rude and have no customer service skills.

Reception was pretty rude when ask if they do free trial or not as a lot of gyms do Bench was slippery Bars are very slippery and old Do not recommend Won’t go again

Definitely need professional cleaners to clean the place and keep the are clean, especially the toilets walking past the male toilets as a female you can only imagine what is going on in there. Time to invest some money into cleaning the facility from our memberships please.

This gym has the most disgusting girls bathroom. Dirty, hair all over the sink, stuff on the bathroom floor. Yet there are signs everywhere telling everyone to be hygienic when they can't even clean their own facilities.

I used to go to a fitness centre at Kingsway Glen Waverley. Classes are ok , most particularly their HITT program. However, I find the gym had very limited space and basically you could hardly move during peak hours , because most members like myself, find it's the only time - after working hours- I get to go to the gym. I've terminated my membership and have now signed up with muscle city. All the issues I have had , all fixed and taken care of. I now have enough space, helpful and skilled trainers, awesome HITT classes.

Not one person here wiping machines and weights down . 🤮 just one lady who used the cardio machine. They have someone here full time at reception, I suggest you tell these beef brains that no ones wants their steroid sweat all over everything .

Best gym in Melbourne. Great equipment and atmosphere. Can always guarantee you’ll have a great workout. The only down fall to this gym is the bathroom facilities. I think it’s time you guys invested in some professional cleaners who regularly clean the bathroom. Sometimes the smell in there is unbearable.

Good gym with good equipment but bad service. The receptionist had an attitude. Didn't felt welcome. I went there to become a member. Just because I didn't receive a warm greeting at first impression, I had a sense that the service will be terrible after I become a member. So I left after having a tour by myself.

I’ve been a member since the gym first time ever opened… and regretfully am disgusted at management’s, policies and unfair contract terms and behaviour towards members. The only thing the company cares about is taking your monthly fees $$$… without care, respect or regard of your circumstances or loyalty. I’ve watched this amazing gym with great people and great equipment when it first opened turn into a monstrosity, robotic staff, lack of humanity, with toxic and selfish energy and above all poor customer service and extremely ruthless contract terms and company policies. However, there are some great staff members that still work there and very grateful for their relationship over the years, something management don’t care about.. Try yourself and make up your own mind…

Teenager banned after a scuffle in the carpark, understandable. But to keep the teen's entire rest of his paid up front membership, to the tune of almost $400 is a pretty lousy move. Not only that, it appears the instigators of the 'scuffle', one of whom is a well know politician's son, have NOT been banned. Disappointed in the business practices and ethics of this company.

Best gym in the area. Full of dedicated members focused on training hard instead of having a social club meeting. The equipment is great and caters for all types of trainers. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is the functional fitness area needs more and better quality equipment. Overall, I am really happy I left one of those cookie cutter, social club gyms.

This place is amazing, LOVE it! The staff and members here is amazing!!! They help you with work outs and things to do and you shouldn’t do, a lot of pros that can help you out. Also the setup of the supplements is great because you can find your fav quick and easy as they have wide range of supplements that surprised me!

Amazing gym that's totally made me love working out again. With that said, they need to be less stingy with the fans and turn them on more often... its at least 10 degrees hotter than whatever it actually is (it's a sauna in 20 degree weather). Also a gym that massive having only 1 water fountain is a joke.

Might seem a bit intimidating to newbies but it's totally the opposite, staff are so friendly and welcoming, members are nice, respectful and always willing to give you a spot. Awesome gym! It’s huge with lots of variety, and even on their busiest of hours, there’s still something for everyone to use. The vibes are amazing, which is what you want!! The Gym also has a supplement store with some of the best protein and pre workouts out there, which personally I feel is essential as I’m always running out lol. I Highly recommend Muscle City!

I have been a member for over 4 years now and joined when they first opened. It has become my second home and a great place to train. As a female in a body building gym, we may feel intimidated however this is not the case at MC - I always feel welcomed and supported by the staff and members. The equipment is great and they have the best hack squat in town! Would highly recommend to check out for a casual or even become a member!

I am proud to have been a Muscle City member since they first opened in Mt. Waverley. We walked over from our office one day and Derek was kind enough to take me and my work colleagues around just before opening making us feel very welcome. MC gave us amazing membership prices for the unbelievable equipment made available to us. I also use the Bentleigh East gym as it is close to my home and still love it. Muscle city has been my number 1 gym for around 4 years. The equipment and machines are great quality and regularly updated. Being 24 hours it is so handy and the other members are considerate and polite.

Loving the reformer pilates room at Muscle City Mount Waverley. I really like that I can come in when I’m free and don’t have to book a class. The physio led programs are brilliant and so is the post natal programs. Thank you for providing this room for us. It’s absolutely brilliant.
