Equipment lacking and poor customer service. Overall not worth the money. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

Rec Xpress is a great gym with excellent equipment and amazing staff. The trainers are extremely friendly and very helpful with building a routine. The ability to use all 6 gyms js very convenient and allows for easy gym access. Rec Xpress is a great choice of gym.

Absolutely pumped to leave a fantastic review for this gym. The weight training floor & cardio gear is perfectly set up for a fitness playground. Parking abounds, at all times. The staff? Total legends sharing advice and creating an excellent experience. Can't recommend this place enough.

I joined Rec Xpress a year ago and haven’t looked back! Impressive range of equipment in great condition considering the low membership fees. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the gym is clean and well set out. Would highly recommend for anyone starting out in their fitness journey or looking for a relaxed gym to join.

Rec Xpress in East Brighton is a great gym. The equipment is always looked after (far better than another well known gym!). The staff are so personable and friendly and do care about their customers. They will design a personal program for you, if you ask, at a very reasonable price...and I'm on a pension!! Yes can get busy, but what gym doesn't these days?

As an avid member of Rec Xpress, I have to say it’s the best value gym in the area. For only $15 per week they have pretty much all equipment you could need all kept in good condition, all facilities are always clean and all trainers/staff are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone into fitness, can’t go wrong with signing up for Rec Xpress.

Used to like it here, but v disappointing - now too crowded, people not wiping the equipment, dodgy manager (the blonde one). Have moved and joined SNAP 24/7 up the road - great premises, rules with regard to numbers (so never crowded!) and strict on hygiene. And they have a month free on joining - five stars to SNAP!

Love the gym..light sunny plenty of space lots of equipment well laid out well managed...don't get in your way. AbFab

Love this gym. Friendly staff. Close, relatively quiet, has all the weights and machines I need. No contract required and weekly rate is spectacular.

I was a RecXpress member for 8 years and had a very enjoyable time whilst there. I was not overly active in the community - I simply went on my own time to maintain a level of physical strength and fitness - but that's all I needed and wanted to do and RecXpress had everything available for me to do just that. They also have an app which is handy for learning good form. Having access to all their sites is super helpful for switching up the scenery every now and then. I can't make any complaints about my experience - if you're in the area and want a simple, no fuss gym - go to Rec.

I have been a member of Rec Xpress East Brighton for over 8 years and taken advantage of it’s 24/7 access regularly over that time. There is a wide range of cardio and weight equipment that is well maintained and updated/replaced from time to time. The staff are all friendly and the gym is cleaned regularly. I consider it to be great value for money.

The team are fantastic. My husband has been training with Bec Gibbs for a year now and seeing great progress - strength and fitness goals - she is knowledgeable and friendly and makes you feel so welcome. Very normal and whatever your size you are made to feel worthwhile and welcome. Can't recommend Bec highly enough!

The gym is always clean and the equipment in good working order. My trainer (Bec Gibbs) is super helpful in teaching me how to use equipment correctly. Would strongly recommend.

Great option if you're after a 24/7 well-equipped gym at a very affordable price. No classes (so you're not paying for things you don't use) but personal trainers are available if you wish to engage them for some guidance.

The gym is well maintained and extremely clean. Has all facilities needed for the goals I'm needing/wanting to achieve with my overall strength and muscle training. The staff are really friendly and make me feel welcomed. Their PT's offer great services and expert advice, I feel very looked after and guided with my current progress. Definitely would recommend!

Everything there you need. Well priced

It's very clean and well maintained. You can't find price like this anywhere. It's perfect for people who likes to work out in a quiet place and not be bothered by anyone. PT is available and the trainers look super friendly. I always found East Brighton one to be quiet and spacious. I probably avoid the more crowded times. I can't complain. I do like some cardio machines in Bentleigh but I just go there when I feel like.

Great few well run gyms with all the basics you need. Wish they could offer classes and more personal trainer options but other than that, great.

This gym is pretty decent and good for the price. It’s clean and well maintained, and the gym has a nice open layout with multiple different sections. However, can be pretty busy depending on the time you go. Overall still pretty good, well worth the price .

My wife and I have been members for over two years and enjoy the experience. The staff are friendly, always willing to assist if needed. The equipment is pertinent to our age group and is regularly cleaned. Very convenient for us and is not overly busy during the day enabling use of all equipment when you want it.

My favourite gym nearby using Fitness Passport. Well-organised and maintained workout equipment and weights, clean and spacious. Not overly busy. Convenient 24/7 hours. Great for getting a workout done efficiently with no fuss. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Rec Xpress is a fantastic gym, really friendly staff and a wide range of equipment that they update on a regular basis. Their membership prices are very affordable and you gain discounts on multiple different products. It’s always very clean thanks to staff and the great community of members. I’ve been going for about a year and a half and wouldn’t rather be at any other gym.

I’ve been a member for eight years (!) and shouldn’t be leaving a positive review, as it will likely just increase the amount of people that come to my gym! However, credit where it is due, this is one of the best gyms in the area - large floorspace with a good selection of quality machines and free weights. A great atmosphere for all levels of experience. A special shout out to Bec and Baxter. The staff can make or break a gym, and they are both friendly and helpful with all things gym related. Appreciate the chats we’ve had over the years!

Visited the gym whilst on holidays for 2 weeks. The staff were great and offered a temporary membership. The gym was never busy and there was plenty of equipment available everytime I went in. Couldn't be happier, if your in the area check it out, or maybe don't wouldn't want to ruin the quietness of this little place.💪💪💯

Rec Xpress has been a great gym to me so far, I even convinced a few of my friends to also join Rec Xpress as well and they all have loved it too. The staff are nice and friendly, the gym is cleaned regularly, the music isnt too loud, there are a lot of machines. For the free weight area, there are duplicate dumbells but not for all weights, this isnt usually an issue though as mostly everyone respects their environment and doesnt hog an array of dumbells at once. You can drop weights. There are bathrooms and showers, as well as a scale. Open to responding to any questions about the experience at Rec Xpress (east brighton), also the membership allows you to go to any of the venues.
