I thought all of the bad reviews relating to money on here were a bit far-fetched, to be honest, until it happened to me. I had to cancel my membership early due to injury/illness. The following day, the gym deducted $150 from my account. I was given no warning of this at all at the time of cancellation. I was told I would have to provide a medical certificate in order for this cancellation fee of $150 to be waived - fine, I had no issue with this. What I did take issue with was $150 being removed from my account, without my knowledge or consent, particularly when there was no need for this to occur given my reason for cancellation. Due to being unwell and injured, I was in a difficult financial situation at the time, yet it took them well over a week to reimburse, despite me pleading with them for the funds to be reimbursed sooner. I don't understand how they can take funds instantly, but have to wait for a particular day to reimburse you? The facilities here are good but it's not worth your time - they want only your money and care for nothing else. Good luck getting out easily if you do sign up!

Great Gym, happy ,smiling staff...always great going there!! Not forgetting clean!

I been with Genesis for long time, I used to enjoy going there but recently lots of equipment been broken and haven’t been fixed, lots of equipment have been moved to the coach area, I feel like the gym has big space but not enough machines. I am thinking to move to another gym once my contract is finished. Hope they can fix those issues before my contract ends

Unprofessional staff Named as Layla. while Joining i told her Clearly That i am moving to other state very soon, she said When ever i am Moving i need to Inform them a month before to Cancel the Membership. now when i called them for Cancellation they say That i can't Cancel as its a Contract of 1 year. While Joining i asked her clearly about the contract she said Its no contract, i can cancel any time i just need to inform 1 month before. Never ever Trust this Gym Management jlas they just lie to sell the membership. Really Upset whit their Behaviour :(

I have been a personal trainer at Genesis for a year and half and this has been a fantastic environment for me and my clients. I was able to help my clients achieve their goals, the gym is clean and tidy and has all the equipment that I need as a coach. The members are friendly, and the staff are friendly & professional. I worked in other gyms before and Genesis has been by far one of the best I worked at. Can't beat their price either!

Terrible Experience:Joined Genesis 2019. Send them an email to cancel my membership in April 2020. Didn't know that I had to visit the gym to cancel the membership. They had no courteousy to reply me. Genesis have been charging me way after April. Talked to the bank March 2021 stopped future payments. Now Genesis sending debt collector to collect $400.00 + because I haven't visited the gym to cancel the membership. Apparently I haven't read the fine print.

Really disappointed in my experience with Genesis Preston. When signing up the manager was very eager to take me on board and promised I would be able to cancel at any time. Despite having been a paying member for over 12 months, when cancelling it was made extremely difficult and I have continued to be charged. When I called the centre the staff member Layla who took my call was rude, and the customer service was some of the worst I have experienced.

A decent gym for anyone that is looking to keep fit

Really great place for training and classes. They have a nice private steam room separated by genders which is great! It is on a busy road but if you go after peak hour traffic it's easy to get in and find parking within the gym.

Re: Unprofessional communication and Service. Professional staff resolved problem required. Due to my contract had finished, In July2021 , I requested to cancel my membership in writing via ur official website to Preston Genesis, where I joined in. No longer I received comfirmation email from them and mention they will contact me in3-5days. Unfortunately I didn't received their call. In November2021, I called the centre about this. The receptionist advised me to email them the email I received as evidence. After that, there's no more charge from my account. I thought my cancellation request has been approved until two weeks ago. I called them again cause there's fee charged again. One of staff contacted me and asked me again to email the evidence. After I email all the evidence to her, she asked me pay the cancellation fee as I didn't inform them 30days notice?! seriously?!If not, why I received the confimation email from u with subject CANCELLATION REQUEST! Now I need related Department to resolve this. SUCH A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES.

After cancelling they keep taking money!!?? Watch out guys Just look around the area you will find better gyms than this one Here you will find Hidden fees, bad customer service, annoying PTs.. etc! I signed up for $18.99 per week, after only two weeks they asked me for more than $100

A decent gym for the price! It’s always nicely cooled, has an extra room with some equipment and machines (for warm ups or if you’re a bit shy for the main floor), isn’t too busy and the people that go aren’t as “hectic” as some of the other gyms I’ve been at, seems like the group fitness classes go off and get good results if that’s you’re vibe. Overall it has a “regular gym for regular people” vibe! :) <3

I was up until recently a group fitness instructor in RPM for nearly 9 years at the club,and i can't speak highly enough for all of our Group Fitness Managers over this time.Nothing but the best of times .Keep up the good work :-)

I like the variety of classes and instructors. They take interest in there members. Great to have a 24/7 access gym but also having it staffed during the day is an added bonus.Facilities are always clean

After having many negative experiences with other gyms in the area I was so thankful to have found Genesis! As soon as I walked in they showed interest in me and my goals. It feels good to have a team be invested in my fitness journey.

Management and admin should be a bit more concerned about retaining current customers rather than attracting new ones. Zero customer service and only rudeness once you have signed up. This gym deserves to go broke.
