What a great surprise this park was even though we use to live in Melbourne and drive pass this all the time, we never went. A Fabulous walk with it all being sealed and very easy to yet to the other side of the Park. Lovely Old Bluestone Bridge, water flowing and lot's of Bird Life. Make sure you walk up to the lookout even though it's up hill, take your time and it's easy to do. A few Sculptures up the top, a playground and even some Big Thing Items. Walk back down the hill and across the yellow bridge and you can see more of the lake flowing. A great place to ride bikes but please USE your bell to let people know you are coming. It was different to go in the Winter and we enjoyed seeing the trees without any leaves but I'm sure it would be Beautiful in the Autumn with lovely orange leaves as well. It could easily be an all day activity and the kids have plenty of room to run around. They have toilets, seats and table & seats, so make sure you take a picnic lunch. We hope everyone gets a chance to go. πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ€—πŸ‘

Great outdoor for a sunny day hangout. The lake takes the most look times. You could walk for fresh air and green view getting out of the Coburg crowd in a minute here. No idea about the night time here.

A very pleasant and wonderful area of the creek here, you get to see a lot of natural bird life like the swamp hens, ducks and even sea gulls, the stream is very clear here and lots of places to just sit and relax. Overall a good place to visit.

A pleasant stroll on this park and first time here with the folks for a monthly outdoors bbq catch-up, unfortunately that bbq spot are full of bird shxts, it seems like pigeons are hiding under roof when nobody was there, we finish the food and decides to just stroll, too dirty to sit on the bench near bbq pit anyway, other than that, this place are marvellous, this grasses area are perfect for picnics. And they have a flying fox here at playground can you believe that? Outdoors gym are available there too, that creek walk are such a pleasant walk. Lots of birds here, ibis, duck, parrot’s cousin etc

Great park, playground, toilets, tables & chairs, plenty of trees. Playground could be a little close to the lake / water for those parents who don't keep an eye on their kids.

Very beautiful big park. It was quiet greenery park on sunny day. It used to be over crowded on the weekend for weddings πŸ’‘ & birthdays πŸŽ‚ They have a small quiet waiting area at the Covid test site on wooden decking in front of carpark. It's nice to have fresh green air and the best view.

Nice park but unfortunately not enough cleaning conducted by the park monitors. I don’t blame them though. As I was walking, a large family was having a picnic and elderly member told a child to throw rubbish over the fence next to the statue. I guess you cannot train some citizens to do the right thing.

What a great reserve to spend time out with the whole family. I lived in Melbourne for over 5 years and this is the first time time I manage to visit it. There are several outdoor facilities such as gym, BBQ, playground and water creek. The only thing I would recommend to maintain more frequent is the bin removals.

There are many people gathering, playing games and sports, picnicking, having BBQ, jogging, cycling, sunbathing and sleeping in the reserve today, Saturday. The swans, seagulls, ducks, chick-like water birds and other birds along the creek are attracted to the smoke, smell and the food. So, there are a lot of flies. Insect repellent is necessary. Don’t feed the wildlife or leave food or drinks unattended. The clouds are pleasant today.

I went fairly early in the morning for a covid test. If you suffer from back probs or hayfever as I do, then best go before they open. The queue took 1.5hrs on a steady incline and the wattle tree right by the entrance sent me over the edge. Watching the parrots have a feeding frenzy overhead was pretty special... Noisy, but special nonetheless πŸ‘πŸ½

Lovely walk down to the lake towered by tall trees which is beautiful to walk down what ever the season be. A fair size park with a big slide you just cant go wrong if you have children. Has three separate playgrounds and heaps of place to have a picnic even on crowded days. Was a old time favourite as a child now rediscovered and a favourite with my children.

Great little oasis in Coburg. It is very kids friendly - there is a nice playground. There are also nice paths for short and a bit longer walks and there is a beautiful monument to Italian refugees for those who are interested in history of Melbourne.

I loved visiting Coburg Lake in Victoria during autumn! The serene atmosphere, well-maintained walking paths, and stunning foliage made for a truly amazing experience. The peacefulness of the lake was exactly what I needed to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Coburg Lake during autumn for a serene and beautiful getaway.

Big Park area, lots of fun equipment around in the playgrounds. Lots of wildlife, maybe too many bin chickens. Only drawback is the bin chickens are quite smelly, too many of them

  • 5/5 Madi D. 9 months ago on Google
Very beautiful and mostly peaceful park. Great for walking the dog but doesn't appear to have an off leash area. Gets a bit noisy and dangerous around the outskirts with a high speed road right by the footpath. Park itself is great though.

I keep forgetting how lovely this place is. There are so many birds - seagulls, pigeons, ducks and those little swamp hens (?) - and lots of space for all sorts of different gatherings. Yesterday it rained, which wasn't forecast, so we were dashing back and forth under trees for a bit. The lake is so pretty and calming to watch, but our 1 year old was upset that we couldn't actually get into the lake. At least I think that's what she was gesturing about. Happy times and good amounts of shade/shelter.

  • 5/5 Usman S. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful views and a nice walk around the creek, lots of sun and shade. Great place for families. Public BBQs available. Lots of open areas for kids to play. A bit of a slope makes it hard for older people to take a walk around and toddlers to run and play, they trip.
