Beautiful park and garden. The place offers plenty of fun activities and resources to explore: + old train engine is located at the main entrance to the park. + Athletic track for runners and walkers. + Beautiful man-made lake and BBQ facilities are the key to a nice picnic or a day out. + Kids will enjoy the slides, swings and playgrounds. + Gazebos offer a good shelter in case weather happens

Crowded, popular, BBQ, sports, playgrounds, diverse activities, birds, swans, ducks, sun tanning, skating and more. The running trails are long, from high to low.

Was disappointed when we arrived from an hours drive and saw the steam engine was fenced off. I’m sure this happened many many years ago but we used to go here as kids and play on the train

I love the walking track, so many locals out and about each morning. It's got a great playground for older children, with the long slide, flying fox and the gated playing section.

A good place to bring the kids "to burn off some energy". There is plenty of parking at all the entrance points, and wheelchair access is good. Signage for the public toilets could be improved, and young children definitely need to be supervised around the edges of the lake.

I visited Edwardes Lake Park today, it was a Perfect September Spring Day today. I could write a whole book about about how Beautiful and Wonderful this Park is, and always has been, but I want to keep it short and just say "Trust Me", You need to be Here.

An amazing park in the area. The massive lake and the area, is home to a lot of flora and fauna. Edwards lake has a rich history in the area. The park is very kid-friendly and there is lots to do there. There are picnic areas all around the park, a 1.5 km paved walking trail around the lake, a historic locomotive on display, a large playground with a flying fox and a giant slide, an off-lead dog park, and more... Edwards lake is a great place to visit with family and friends.

Very busy on public holidays. Noisy, lots of people putting their speakers out loud and BBQ smoke wherever you go. The off leash dog park is not very big, but is fully fenced for the runners. Plus divide to small/shy dogs and big ones. High grass not being mowed, so I was pretty scared of snakes. Dogs can’t go into the water or run around, many signs of enforced on leash. Overall this park has a great potential but maybe on a quieter day.

A very nice place to have a BBQ with family and friends. It has a nice walking trail for those who want to walk and enjoy the park. Kids can play in the playground which has a long slide, couple of swings, zipline, and others. Also, there is a running track. public car parking where you can park until 10:30 PM.

Great place to take the kids. Lots of equipment for them to play on and plenty of open space for them to run around. Also bbq area and public toilets.

Great place to take the family for a walk, or a picnic or to the playground. Especially love that it's close to the Off the Boat Pizzeria, where they do delicious gelato and pasta. Went during lockdown and it was packed so you know it's a popular place.

The reservoir of Reservoir- has appropriate birds and a track/field place to jog at. Would be 5 stars if there was a coffee van there- one requires sustenance. If walking here there's a bunch of great bakeries on the way though, croissant and chill man.

This is a well kept lake and surrounding park. There are benches to sit at and you can see a playground and mini flying fox for kids to play on. You see alot of locals using the public park, riding bikes and going for their daily walks. It's very relaxing.

Good walkways around Lake, paths well maintained, suitable for walks/runs. Lots of duck and a pair of black swans. Recommended for runners, children and couples. However the toilets area can be quite smelly

Edwards Park Lake is like a beautiful paradise park. Serene & full of .tranquillity.🫢 Lovely picturcule of intense strength and disposition.πŸ‘πŸ’• Made up of wonderful track & path-ways. Trees and Greenery dominate the landscape. Handy local toilets make a break, not a problem. This park ranks with the best in Northern Suburbs & beyond. Thank for a piece of Our Creator's beauty divine.πŸŒˆπŸ’ Peter. Children's playground & side - makes this park/Lake, Special.πŸ˜„

A great place to walk, picnic or play. The enclosed playground is great for the little one's. Walking the perimeter of the Lake had scenic appeal and easy walking pathways. A great place to visit.

In Melbourne for the weekend and I must say this is one of the best parks I've been to during my stay. It's pretty big, very lively, bicycle tracks and walking tracks right around a massive lake, lots of plays areas and very spacious. Some birds I haven't seen before so it's always a sight to behold.

  • 2/5 Dyverze 6 months ago on Google
Grew up around here and always loved coming here still do esp with my dogs. The running track is awesome, although they should really consider putting up fences around the lake for safety reasons

  • 5/5 nicole o. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful quiet space in the morning. A great distance around the lake and you get to see a lot of bird life. A lovely escape to a natural space in the suburbs.

Brilliant. lots of things for kids to play with. bbq, walking safe tracks, great atmosphere and very good rum balls at the van

  • 4/5 George M. 1 year ago on Google
Great place in the area to go for a walk, especially if things are wet. It has great amenities with BBQs, covered areas, playground and an old train. On a negative for me is the destruction of non native trees to make way for native shrubs and trees that will take decades to grow and replace the fallen trees. Additionally, more and more areas are being blocked around the lake for more habitat for shrubs and wildlife. The intent of the park was to be a place of enjoyment for people in the area. There's so much land around the creek before and after the lake, that would be better used for this purpose. Originally, the lake was suitable for swimming and boating, hence the boat house. I don't see why paddling on the lake could not return after many years of rehabilitation.

Beautiful lake that seems to always be a give of activity. Often a coffee truck in the car park, and when it's not there are a few coffee shops in just a short walk. Can't whether it's a vibrant nature walk you're after, or an area to have a picnic with friends& family, this place has everything! Even a historic train!

  • 5/5 Michael K. 1 year ago on Google
Big park around the lake. The old steam engine is fenced off. Wide paths. Plenty of people walking around. A few seats along the way. Toilets were clean. Plenty of parking.

Good view, good wildlife, enough space for drinking adults who are having a fish and chips picnic to hide from parents and kiddies. BUT lack good public toilet

  • 4/5 Quatermass 1 year ago on Google
Quite a decent leisure area. For kids there are playground items and structures, and the birdlife is always enlivening around the shores. There's a big restaurant across the street. It would be good if there were a bridge further south over the Northern pointy extension of the water body, if it could be constructed without destroying any ecology that is. A bridge there will be well used and worth it.

On a summer evening, the chill vibe of families enjoying the playground, bbq's or simply enjoying the space is wonderful. We take our dog for a walk around the lake to watch the sun set and call and end to the weekend. Only one of the reasons to love Reservoir.

I love Edwards park lake. The walking track around the lake takes about 15 - 20 minutes. Lots of barbecue areas for families and playgrounds for kids. Lots of water birds. Even a semi professional athletics area with running track e.t.c. Plenty of parking right next to the park. Also quite a few exercise stations at different locations around the lake.

The jewel of Reservoir. Even in Covid + Winter this place is hive of activity and I would totally go there from way out of town. Wildlife, birds and frogs chirping and people casually doing their exercise, pets and play equipment. It's a clean park and quite romantic or great for kids. Summer would be paradise in this little loop and ideal for a BBQ on the grassy hill. Sporting equipment around the place and even a BMX bowl and basketball hoops. Fun central.

Beautiful park with good facilities and nice lake. I like the old train displayed there. It's clean park in general, the only downside i see is the toilets but i guess that is standard quality across all parks in Australia. I like visiting the park with my family regularly.

I went here with my family and we had a lot of fun. my grandma had been in a nursing home for months without going outside, but we managed to plan a day out. she had such a fantastic time and that was the happiest I have seen her in a long time. she asked to take my phone to take some pictures and I assumed she would take pictures of the flowers or trees but instead I get my phone back and check the gallery to find this seagull. I am not sure why she took such a liking to this particular seagull but if it's what makes her happy then it makes me happy. my son later saw her looking at the pictures, he's always been close with his great-grandmother, and asked her what the birds name was. as she hadn't chosen a name yet, she offered for him to name the bird. so here are the pictures of Monster Truck the seagull who you may find if you decide to go to Edwards Lake Park.

The lake/park itself it’s BEAUTIFUL! The reason for the 2 stars is because the lack of bins around the lake track. I pick my dogs poop up like a good boy but I am tempted to not do so as I have to often carry it around more than half the track. The bins that are provided are often over flowing as well. A bin between the boat club and water overpass would be great..
