What a beautiful place! There is something here for everyone to enjoy. The lake is so gorgeous and picturesque. There is a beautiful 2.5km circuit trail around the lake. It is not too slopy, so it is a pretty easy walk; however, if you get tired there are several benches dotted around the trail. This is a great trail to walk your dog. There were also so many cute ducks and ducklings paddling in the lake. The lake is also good for activities such as fishing and kayaking. There is a large playground for the kids to enjoy. There is even a fun water feature, which perfect to play in when the weather is hot. Sheltered seating is available for parents to relax while supervising their kids. There is lots of grass place for outdoor recreation activities/sports and for kids (or adults) to run around. There are also many BBQ facilities and sheltered picnic tables/benches available.

Took my 2yo and 5yo niece for the Park and Waterplay. Absolutely amazing spot.. lots of swings, climbing structures (for all levels) , slides, bbqs, places to sit in the Shade, paths for kids to scooter or ride their bikes. Water Play area is perfect for the little ones. Toilets clean and close by. There was a Coffee van until 12 noon. Highly recommended

Very beautiful and spacious place, especially the lake is massive and spread over large area. The lake is the major source of attraction for visitors. There are always certain number of people all over the lake, walking, jogging, running. Best place for perfect leisure time and there is enough space to fit in large groups of people. There are many wildlife also, especially birds.

Lilydale Lake Park is an absolutely beautiful spot! Our dog and my family had a wonderful time exploring the nice grass walking paths around the lake. It's also a perfect location for photography in nature with the stunning scenery. There are food trucks available if you want to grab some breakfast or any meal for the day. The park is well-maintained and the area is clean, making it a great destination for a day out with family or friends. The playgrounds are also well-maintained and perfect for kids of all ages. Highly recommend visiting Lilydale Lake Park!

Lilydale Lake is a lovely place to visit where you can go for a walk, a jog, to ride your bike or enjoy a picnic. The track around the lake is a good size and has an offlead area for the dogs too. There's a decent playground that includes swings suitable for use with wheelchairs & younger children too. There's also a water play area, which is fantastic in summer. You will find plenty of space to set up a picnic rug. Plus there are dezcent & clean BBQ facilities as well as numerous outdoor table settings to choose from (there are undercover tables also. Parking is generally not an issue and is in close proximity to the public restrooms, playground & picnic area.

One of the most stunning spot to go for a run. So many activities to do over here. We went for our park run. Each circuit is 2.5km long. During our visit there were 2 coffee vans and 1 potatoes chips truck. Greta outdoor facility.

The bird life is outstanding, so for all you bird watchers out there, there is a huge phenomenal variety in this area. Next time I’m bringing my binoculars and parking myself on a jetty or a park bench. With the recent flooding, some of the benches aren’t reachable. Kinda of eerie actually, like out of a halloween movie or something. My only wish is if they had more benches in and around the park. Still, this place is amazing! Has everything you need. Clean toilets, picnic & barbecue areas, free parking, outdoor gym, mini yachting, kayaking, supping, walking/running/cycling track, dog training area and dog walking track, mini beaches, kids playground, history stories, views, library, fishing and more. There aren’t any restaurants and only consist of a coffee van, potato’s and donuts food vans. May be more in summer, not sure. Very kid friendly and family orientated Lake. Eastern suburbs. It’s just lovely. Take sunscreen and a hat. Oh and just try to be courteous to all people using the tracks. Keep left, pass right, listen for bicycle bells and move left. Don’t walk 4 in a row, this is selfish. For safety too.

Love the playground and water park grandchild loves it there. Great food trucks and icecream really is a good place to go. One downside if you go for a walk watch out for the dog droppings lot of people there won"t clean up after their dogs.

We come here regularly for walks, playground and picnics. We get to eat at the picnic table while kids play nearby. Walking track takes us 45mins with 2 kids. Nice sunset view from the lake.

Peaceful, spacious recreational reserve with a large but relatively shallow lake as it's centrepiece. Beautiful views over the lake at sunset. The playground seemed popular but not crowded. The walking track around the lake saw a constant flow of cyclists, joggers and dog owners. Some nice fishing spots around the lake too. Waterbirds are abundant. Very peaceful place to spend time.

Great for kids or a relaxing picnic. Water park is busy on hot days but worth it. Other playground had my kids attention more though. Great walk around the lake takes me about 30-40min to walk. There's fishing groups, kayaking and a little beach area as well. Board walks around different areas of the lake and theres also food vans on weekends. It's a great spot ☺️ get there early if you want a table or shade on the lawn though. Recommend taking a shade shelter.

This artificial lake is not just a great place to spend time with friends and family at. It serves a great purpose for the community of Lilydale from experiencing flood that inundated many of its areas years before 1988. It offers a variety of amenities from children playground to outdoor fitness activities. Paddling around the two islands is something to try. There is also cafè off the walk track that is situated along the library. Look for a sign that points the direction. There is also a river where your dog can play and swim in. The breeze was perfect today. The main parking area can be very busy and full during weekends and holiday but there are also other parking areas nearby; check the map. This place is a good spot for a picnic, special occassions, and for meditation. Visit the place and take photos to show to your friends.

If it's a warm day is a great place to head to. Has both a splash park and a sandy beach by the lake. Facilities are good too with bbqs, toilet block, etc. There's lots of parking but on hot days it gets very full so maybe use the overflow one 400m down the road.

Lovely place for a visit, walk or picnic. Hugely popular. Lots of car parking. Paths and tracks that are wheel chair/ pram friendly. Large block toilets. Dog friendly. Large play ground for kids. Plenty of picnic tables, some with overhead roof. Bieber, the lush green grass is suitable for a blanket too!!

It's a very peaceful and relaxing place to visit. You can enjoy a quiet stroll, go for a run/bike ride or there's a good playground area for kids. There's a decent amount of benches if you want to take a seat. Good amount of grassy areas for kids to run around as well. Nice, large carpark too and BBQ areas. Really enjoyed Lillydale Lake.

Absolutely lovely dog park with a little dog only stream that's clean and well aerated running right through it. Friendly people and well behaved dogs. Big enough to avoid people if you wanted to. Gorgeous place definitely worth a little extra drive

Beautiful spot for a walk, a run, a picnic, rolling down mini hills, fishing, kayaking and more. Few off leash areas for the doggos but they’ll have a good time just around the lake on leash, plenty of sniffing to do.

Overall a good playground and park. Needs a little refreshment in the playground area, like mulch and cleaning, but still good. The walking and running trails around the lake are good too, although would be better if they were bitumen instead of gravel

  • 5/5 Pauline M. 3 years ago on Google
Had a ball in the playground yesterday afternoon with my adorable 7 year old niece, she just loved the water feature part and so did I, the playground was really safe and well maintained, there was heaps to do, from playing on the monkey bars, to going down slides, jumping through the water park, getting spun around and hanging upside down, climbing all the ropes, playing school and shops, driving in a boat, hopping across rocks and much much more!! It was heaps of fun, even for the adults, will definitely be going back again.

Highly recommend. Great spaces for picnics, exercise , and play or even enjoy the water play area over the Summer. The family will enjoy it. The toilets are clean too so that's an amazing bonus. Can't fault Lilydale, except that parking can be limited but thats because it's so popular. It has bbq for public use.

Beautiful playground for the kids. I felt out of place being a brown person in that area. Alot of people were staring like we were aliens or something. Other than that, it's very beautiful

I often excercise here if I'm in the area visiting family and friends. My nephew and niece love coming to the playground here at Lilydale lake and the play facilities here are fantastic and so well managed and maintained. The only thing missing is a kid safe fence to stop kids running off to lake or road and to keep dogs away from kids There is always loads of kids here and you can see how much they all love coming here by the look on their faces and how happy they are. Makes me broody. Maybe it's time for me to settle down and have a family now :-)

  • 5/5 Shuey L. 3 years ago on Google
First time visit here. I quite like it. There is sand near the lake(kid might bring pail and spade next time), a rather big playground for kids to play (dry and wet) and there is a food truck selling warm food and ice cream truck (not sure how regular they visit). I will definitely come back again to explore further.

We spotted a lot of rabbits and various birds too. The other side of the lake has a big park for dogs. The walking trail was nice too. Overall a good experience. We will definitely come back on a rather sunny or a non-rainy day!
