My favourite walking trail for morning walk. Quiet area and easy to get to. Doesn't get too busy at all so can easily find a parking spot off street.

A nice little place to go for walks. Peaceful and pleasant. The full circuit takes about 20 mins and is very popular with joggers/walkers.

Nice easy walk with good paths. Plenty of birdlife but don't walk in the grass as a lot 9f dog owners don't pick up their dogs droppings

What a great park- walking through certain parts feels like you’re in the mountains and not in the suburbs. Huge variety of bird life and plenty of paths to walk too.

My first foray here was early 2017 and, at the time, it was more like a construction site than a reserve. I returned here quite by accident late 2018 and am impressed with the improvements made. Lovely place for a short walk and was quite beautiful at dusk on this particular Spring day. A few entry points here and there, but I'd recommend parking on Lakewood Drive if you're not arriving on foot.

Such a nice reserve, great to go to for some exercise and fresh air. Good circuit around the lake for walking, running or riding. Great for taking photos or flying a drone. Lake has a small pier and there are ducks and sometimes ducklings. Note that there are often a lot of people here.

Great place for a walk, and a spot of birdwatching. There is easy parking at a number of points around the outside of the reserve.

Good tracks and many to choose from . Take food and a phone incase u get lost. Infact take a fishing rod and a BBQ, dont forget slab of your choice. Bourbon and coke is my preference but u may like sipping a shandy or maybe a cup of tea. And if you know the way out , make sure you help a lost c#*t and show him or her the way out to but only one and no more.

Nice little park, great walk around the lake which also goes through a nice bushy area. NO off lead area for dogs and no bins, (carry in carry out). Lake holds Red fin and eels, doesn't get stocked with trout which would be a nice touch. Plenty of water foul for bird watchers.

Nice area for a walk or for a run sometimes senior riders came to ride from young to old you can get some peace and serenity here. It is a peaceful place not far from knox shopping center. It is best to see the little ducklings in spring here.

This place is nice to walk your dog on lead only, nice for the kids to walk with parents. Beautiful lake with lots of birds and frogs croaking away. Not allowed to feed the ducks at all. No toilet facilities that I know of, better to park on Lakewood Drive along side the reserve. One of the owners dont like you parking out the front of his place on Applewood Drive although the access gate is better that way. Take a risk if you want.

An oasis in the middle of suburbia, locals so lucky to have it. Absolutely beautiful reserve. The lake is stunning and has fantastic bird life and good paths around for walking and cycling. Enough space to easily distance from others during the pandemic.

Beautiful serene quiet place to walk. I walk from Harcrest Hub carpark. About 5km to and back. Cut across the harcrest estate and our towards Edgan reserve, and continue the lake.

Very nice place, many ducks and ducklings around. It’s a shame that Knox council wants to remove such a treasure, I usually exercise around it is about a 2km walk all-round.

Fantastic place for local residents to picnic, bike or scotter riding, walking and also jogging. If you are lucky enough, you may see black swan!!

  • 5/5 Benjamin S. 2 years ago on Google
Perhaps Knox’s best kept secret. Fantastic park that changes all the time. The ducks, swans and kookaburras are just a few of the birds there. The frogs talk all year. See it on a beautiful day or a wet day and see the difference. Great riding or walking and can park in any side street around.

One of my most favourite places in the world. Love to come here at evening/dusk and sit by the lake. Quiet and serene, beautiful scenery and trees. First came here as a young lad and I'll be coming here for years yet!

Nice clean place to walk. 0 fitness level needed , flat land all the way with wide foot path. Great place to picnic if you jsut want somewhere quiet , minimum human traffic. Various wild life.

  • 4/5 Katherine M. 2 years ago on Google
Pram friendly in that the path around the lake is sealed. There is a short section of boardwalk which certainly makes the pram bounce but bub seemed not to mind. Quite lovely and shaded in parts. Interest is perhaps a little limited; once you've walked around the lake a couple of times you've probably seen all there is to see. Plenty of ducks :)

Lakewood is a place for mindfulness, exercise and a reason to reconnect with nature. This reserve features a lake surrounded by swamp and trees with a path weaving in/out and around the nature. If walking the path it is approximately 1.3 to 1.5km all the way around depending if you take the longest route or not. This place is usually quite busy with, fisherman, runners, walkers and even cyclist.

There are dirt paths, asphalt paths and park seats. Some of the dirt paths are narrow; the asphalt paths are wider. There is a lake with a viewing platform. Bike- riding is allowed.

Very small lake with stupid rules not allowing kayak for fishing.

A great reserve that has chafed so much since it first came into existence. As a kid at the nearby local school we often can here to do tree planting and to see those trees nearly thirty years on is wonderful especially with all the wildlife that now call it home. The sunset views here are amazing, so I do highly recommend you bring a camera with you.

A beautiful lake with some monster fish !

  • 5/5 Jane M. 3 years ago on Google
This lake and reserve is a real gem and not known by many, even some living close by. There is a walking track circling the lake shared by cyclists of very roughly just over 1 km long. As with all other shared paths, beware of cyclists. This is a peaceful reserve and many locals enjoy an end of day circuit of two around the lake. In my younger days I used to go for a run around the lake and, although mostly flat, found it to be great for that purpose. Bird life is present and there are signs describing the various types of birds. The only thing bad I can say is that Knox Council should install BBQ facilities. Unfortunately, I hear that there are plans to fill in the lake and convert it into a wetland.
