A great way to spend a summers day with friends. Jells park has one of the most beautiful landscapes surrounded by trees. The park also has a lake, great for relaxing and watching the birds play. The park has a number of barbecues and toilets spread around the area. The trails that lead through Jells park have some of the best scenery of any park! Highly recommend spending a day at Jells!

It's a good place to picnic. There are some picnic area and BBQ. You also can just have a seat on the grass. Everyone here really enjoys and spends their time with family and friends. It's so good especially with amazing weather. Btw, you can have a walk or ride the bike around the lake!

Beautiful park, nice view, picnic tables and benches. Forget about the Café and bring your own stuff. They lock shop at 3 while several customers are asking for coffee.

Great park with excellent playground facilities for the kids. Lots of excellent walking trails. Can easily spend half a day here, perfect place for a picnic. I think there is one cafe on offer but in my opinion better to bring your own food.

The park is very big and never get too crowded. Lots of birds to see. Good for family to bring kids or dogs. Always have people walking here and there so it’s kinda safe to come alone. Also the walk is not too short and not too long 👌

I love coming to jells park with my family on weekends. There are quite a few trails and one of them is around a lake that is home to some ducks. Jells park is the perfect place for a picnic or get together and has some outdoor tables. They also have toilets and lots of parking. The only downside is that the directory is sometimes hard to follow but aside from that is is a great place to go!!

One of my favourite places to take the kids for a bike ride, play on the vast playgrounds or visit the ducks. There is a cafe for dine in or takeaway food and coffee. It's also a great place to go for a run. If you want beautiful views while getting some exercise, this is the place to visit.

Beautiful Park. Great BBQing facilities Shame that water was out of bounds due to Blue Algae as we had planned to do some fishing!

Nice large park with lots to do for both adults and kids. Very popular for picnics, cycling, jogging and events. Only downside is the single, over rated and overpriced cafe.

Lovely park lots of open space. Plenty of different trails that all interconnect so you can just freely wonder and have a different experience each time you visit. If you have kids the playground is exceptional in size and a variety of equipment. Lots of cyclists, and wildlife.

It's a beautiful wide-open park in the heart of Melbourne's eastern suburbs. It's an ideal park to go for a picnic or a long walk with family and friends. There are several barbecue facilities and playgrounds for the kids. There is a large lake in the middle of the park which is a good spot to take photos. The park also provides habitat to an abundance of rare bird species. Moreover, there's a restaurant in the park which is a great place for a coffee and a quick bite. There are also public toilets and plenty of free parking lots.

It is one of the best playgrounds in the area. When you are in, you won't feel like you are in the suburbs. It's big and beautiful. Lots of trees with a view of Dandenong ranges. It has everything...playscapes, bike tracks, a nice little lake, and long walking trails amongst the wilderness full of birds and other wildlife. It has quite a few BBQ with sheds, enough parking spaces, toilets 🚻 and a nice cafe. I go there when I have nothing to do and when I have a lot to do. Go there alone, with a friend or family, and enjoy nature.

Fantastic park that melds into a few trails. An early morning park around the lake is refreshing. Discover the birds, ducks and if you choose, take the trails as far as you'd like. Once done, visit Madeline's cafe for a bite or just a drink. It is vast, well maintained and beautiful.

Lovely park for walking, relaxing, biking, eating and gathering with family and friends. It is obviously a great place for children as it has several playing areas. It has many seats and tables .. some are old and the others are renovated. These tables are distributed between the trees . SO, you wouldn't feel very hot during sunny days. There is a coffee directly beside the visitor centre. Photos of its opening hours and menu are available. Car parks are available a long the enteries. However, toilets in this park are dirty and with bad smell. Two toilets I have checked , and both did not encourage me to use them, looking infectious. Additionally, although the park has several BBQ areas but they are dirty and unclean.

I have been so thankful for this park during our second lockdown in Melbourne. Lots of walking tracks. Beautiful lake with walking track around it and some benches. Lots of space to be able to find a spot for your group to picnic. Cafe does takeaway only until January 2021. New playground being built to complement other playgrounds. Well worth a visit with family or friends.

Great nature based play space spread across a large area. Sand pit with water tables. A awesome ropes course. Slides and swings. There are lots of tracks to choose from, around the pretty lake and lots of friendly ducks. Madeline's in next door for takeway coffees and treats. Sit down cafe option was not open when we went at 10am. Toilets and parking onsite.

A group of us meet up once a week to do meditation. Grass should be cut more often. There are no bins, so you must take your rubbish with you. Last visit some pigs had eaten there and left mess behind. We told one of the Parks workers and she cleaned up straight away. Great feel, beautiful scenery of lake and trees. Wonderful energy. Love it

Great place for long walks or just chilling out with a picnic. There's heaps of space everywhere, so you're not bumping elbows with everyone. The BBQ areas are spread out nicely, so you get your own little spot without feeling crowded. It's the perfect spot for a lazy Sunday or to get some fresh air and stretch your legs. Great for a day out with friends or family, especially if you're looking to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

It is a busy place, but itt big and has everything including a few restaurants for you to get some food or seat down to enjoy a cuppa. Love the lake it has, and still not able to walk around it (ie. Lack of time). Will try to do this next time when I have 1.5hrs to kill....

One of the largest parks in the vicinity, Jells Park has a bit of something for everyone: nice walking tracks, cycling tracks, playgrounds and BBQs (for once the lockdown restrictions are lifted), lots of grassy space, and even a cafe, birdwatching and even fishing. My personal favourite is the lake, which looks nice at sunset on a clear day, and the conservation area where you can see the bird colonies. There's always car parking. Do note that the gates are locked at night, though there is 24 hour exit.

A beautiful park for walking, running and cycling. Once COVID19 is over, it is also great for having BBQ's and picnics. This morning was so beautiful with the fog and sunrise. There were plenty of people doing their morning exercise. We use this place as a starting point for our round trip cycle to Ferntree Gully Quarry (another lovely place) and back. A total of 37 Kms. I would recommend this place for all manners of activities for individuals, groups and families. Enjoy.

A nice park to walk around, with lots of bird life. There are a number of trails around the area which are suitable for Cyclists and Walkers, which also make it Wheelchair friendly as well. This location would have received 5 stars if there was a few more accessible places to view the lake from, and a walking trail right around the lake, otherwise it’s a nice place for a walk.

A great place for those who love birds and birdwatching. There are plenty of different bird species flying and hiding around. There's also a hiding spot where you can sit under the roof and witness the hectic life on the lake. There are also nice areas for picnic, the huge lawn makes it possible to play all kinds of sports. Apart from that there are many trails you could take if you like hiking but I'd not recommend doing that when it's sunny and hot as there is little shadow.

On Sunday 17th Jan 2021 I had the unfortunate experience to visit the ladies toilet facilities. They were a disgrace - filthy, smelly and totally unacceptable for the general public to use. I expect better from a government organisation that is so focussed on health & well being esp with the current health challenges. Direct some funding to clean these facilities.

It's a beautiful park with natural bird sanctuary for the ibis, herons etc. Big park for families to bring children for a picnic. There are at least 2 playground and great walking trails with great views of huge ponds with lots of wildlife. There is also a cafe for coffee there too. Plus public gas BBQ station.

This is a well planned and laid out park. Lots of ancillary services ie netball and soccer fields. The park has a multiple car parks, a cafe, bitumen cycleway, toilets, park benches/tables, a lake and a fantastic playground area. Dogs are allowed on leash.

It's a nice park to have pinic and walk the doggie. Very spacious if having pinic. park near to the east entrance car park to have access to toilet and cafe. There are two little playgrounds nearby. Haven't explore the entire park. There's a section where it is a reserve with wild life and dogs are not allow in that section.

Superb and popular open bushland park with ample parking, under cover picnic tables and chairs, BBQ's, toilets and playgrounds makes Jells park one of the jewels of the Eastern suburbs. Look out for the abundant native bird life. Great place to go for a picnic with the family. Remember to take your rubbish home with you at the end of the day.

Jells park is a classic... 4 stars because it sometimes become very crowded but maybe I'm too harsh. I like the walk around the lake, it is peaceful and easy to do even for seniors. If you pick a quiet day, then it is 5*.

Huge beautiful park, perfect for long walks and hangouts! Lots of birds to see as well as endless stretches of green lawn and a lake as well. There can be many visitors but the park is big enough that it doesn’t become an issue. Get walking!

Jells Park is an oasis of parkland nestled amongst quiet suburb Wheelers Hill, urban development and busy roads. As you stroll through the park’s Red Gum grassy woodlands, heathland and around the wetlands, it's easy to forget you're surrounded by the suburbs. And busy roads. This is a great park for a family day out. Cook up a feast on one of the free electric barbecues or enjoy a picnic on the lawn. Kids of all ages will love exploring the adventure playground. Modules are included for junior kids and disabled access, as well as older children. Braeside Park offers a variety of educational and recreational opportunities. Get active and walk, jog or cycle along the multi-purpose trails. Walk around the lank and you’ll find the bird watching hut. Stroll through the park’s Red Gum grassy woodlands, and around the wetlands. A series of complex and valuable environmental communities find their home here. Discover the diverse range of bird life, listen for frogs.

Back to jells park again. Beautiful park, perfect for long walks every weekend. Always super busy and popular during weekend not easy to find a parking around playground. You can have a BBQ, picnic with family, go for a walk around the lake, see the birds or ride a bike there. Cafe on site for breakfast & lunch.

Beautiful scenic park with the most gorgeous view of the mountains and lake. This is literally THE perfect spot for a picnic on a warm day or to walk your dog. There are plenty of picnic benches to enjoy lunch with friends/family, although the ground is also quite flat and soft if you would rather lay out a picnic rug on the grass. I will definitely be coming back here again soon!

One of the biggest parks in suburban Melbourne. It's got plenty of parking and is usually busy in good weather. Being such a big park means you don't feel the crowd. There is usually a place to set your picnic area on the ground. It's a dog friendly place so you do see lots of people with their dogs. Its got a cycle tracks and lots of people running and jogging. The Lakes a good place to sit and watch the ducks.
