Elwood beach has to be my favourite metropolitan Beach here in Melbourne. Great view of the Bay and great view of the CBD and sunset. You also get some decent dining places in this area. Perfect for a weekend walk!!! Highly recommend Elwood beach to any newcomes to Melbourne!!!

One of Melbourne's nicest. Great line of sight to the city. The beach is nice. Be wise and check water quality, especially if there's been a recent downpour.

Brighton Road/Nepean Highway, right near the intersection of Glenhuntly & Hotham St. Very odd building, let by Agents but "managed" by Owner. The flats were in desperate need of renovation as were the garages which were in very bad shape & barely big enough to store a mid-size car. Property adjoined the Gardenvale Hotel with it's bottleshop exiting right next to the driveway... peace & quiet? Negative - owner attending every other week, pottering around & disturbing residents. If you're contemplating renting in the area, think twice before renting this property!

Sweet spot for clear and bright photos ๐ŸŒž +1 ๐ŸŒŸ Massive parking space. +1 ๐ŸŒŸ An awesome location. +1 ๐ŸŒŸ Clear water -1 ๐ŸŒŸ Congested road to get in and out of above said massive parking space. -1 ๐ŸŒŸ Need of more toilets or perhaps dedicated changing rooms to take pressure off the toilets.

Great beach with a hill that has a view of the city and the bay and Brighton beach to the other side. The beach is also nice for having a swim and sometimes has a gelati van parked there too. Thereโ€™s a water tap to wash the sand off your feet too if you need it.

Lovely and quiet beach. Highly recommended. You would become a regular visitor after your first visit. The sunset is spectacular from here. Biking tracks are good. Few mins walk takes you to kids play area with zip line flying fox. Let's praise all this is free of cost.

This is a very beautiful beach in Melbourne. Although it is not a large beach, it is far less famous than the St. Kilda Beach or the Brighton Beach Boxes, and it is further away from the city centre than the St. Kilda Beach, I love its more cosy atmosphere as this beach is less commercialized. I canโ€™t see any stalls or shop at the beach when I visited the beach in early May. I just sat on the beach, listened to the waves and enjoyed a wonderful sunset on 6/5/2018.

Well maintained beach which makes it ideal for families. The waves aren't too big at Elwood beach which again makes it ideal for families with kids. There is a walkway all along the beach front, you can also water out onto the warfs. Not much in the way of food at the beach. But there are plenty of cafes within a 5-10mins drive of the beach.

Just a perfect nice beach to lay back enjoy the views or go for a swim with the family friends there's restaurants ice cream nice area to just sit down and cool off. If I could recommend something bathrooms are really bad and need to be sorted as we live in a country that should be able to afford to fix or rebuild.

The beach side of Elwood Beach is beautiful, clean, and fun. The beach goes on for miles, and you can experience soft sandy beach, or rocky beach where you can step from rock to rock and get as close to the waves as possible.

(Translated by Google) It is a large and wide beach. The sand is soft and the water quite clear, I could see a band of little fish around me. At first it felt very cold, but then I acclimated. As we went during the week there were not many people. As usual, in the road that borders it, people are jogging and cycling. Widely recommended. Recomendada ampliamente.

The beach was clean on the left side and the tide wasn't very high. The water is cold though at 5 to 7pm. There was algae on the right side near a thing that was man made. It might be poisonous though. It has a tap to wash your feet on the other side of the drinking tap near the front of the beach on the left side.
