Nice strolling along the beach. Not the prettiest beach but gives good vibes. Many people fishing along the pier. Lots of people walking their dogs. Some playing beach volley.

Beautiful, clean, smooth sand beach. There's also a beach for dogs, separated with the main beach, so you can bring your 4 legs friends there without hesitating. Free shower stands are available everywhere. Kids playground is also a plus there.

St. Kilda Beach, nestled along the shores of Melbourne, is a true seaside paradise. With its soft, sandy shores and the gentle lull of the waves, it's a haven for beachgoers and nature enthusiasts alike. The beach boasts a vibrant atmosphere. On any given day, you'll find sunbathers soaking up the Australian sun, families building sandcastles, and water sports enthusiasts riding the waves. It's a place where you can kick back and relax or dive into the excitement of beach volleyball and kite surfing. What sets St. Kilda Beach apart is its lively promenade. The Esplanade is lined with charming cafes, offering everything from a quick coffee to a gourmet meal with ocean views. It's the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely brunch or evening cocktail while watching the sunset paint the sky with brilliant colors. The iconic St. Kilda Pier adds to the allure of this beach. Take a stroll along the pier, and you might be greeted by little penguins returning home at dusk. It's a unique and heartwarming sight. In summary, St. Kilda Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone in Melbourne. It seamlessly blends natural beauty, recreational activities, and a vibrant dining scene, making it a beloved spot for locals and tourists alike. Whether you seek relaxation, adventure, or simply a taste of the coastal lifestyle, St. Kilda Beach delivers it all.

Sensational St. Kilda beach simply stuns! Soft sand stretches several spacious miles, sheltered shallow sea suitable for swimming, surfing, snorkelling. Scrumptious seafood served seaside, superbly satisfying. Sunbathing, sandcastle building, sensational scenery, stunning sunset show. Serenity, serendipity, and smiling sun-seekers. Surely, St. Kilda is simply superb!

Fun beach for young and old alike. Stretches from behind the StKilda pier where the yachts and boats are moored up to Port Melbourne and down south to Elwood Beach. So many different places and ways to enjoy the beach. I should say I grew up here…down at Elwood so I’ve seen this beach for more than sixty years. My father sold boats in the building that today is the restaurant. Anyway that’s a whole other story. This time we brought our granddaughter to the beach beside the StKilda Yacht Club. Fossicked for crabs in the rocks, built sandcastles in the sand and chased fish and anemone in the shallow waters under the blue sky. Watch out for the cyclists as you cross. The only pain point? Paying $16 for the afternoon car parking, but better than paying the $94 fine if you don’t! They’re rebuilding and doubling the pier right now so it’s a little bit messy and cramped. Still some magical experiences to be enjoyed. Who knows the story of the penguins at StKilda pier? Aren’t they supposed to be at Phillip Island?

A very nice place for a walk anytime of the day but not a typical beach where people set up tents and everything as the shore is quite close. Lots of shops around and things to see such as the solar system scale model which I really enjoy

#St Kilda beach Well worth a visit, nice park there as well as beach. As pier was under reconstructions. Went to see the sunset, did’t see it as cloudy. Fairy Penguin not seen, as the Penguin viewing platform was under reconstruction at the end of the pier.

It was too sandy. My 3 kids got really sunburned, and got rashes from the sand everywhere. It was too hot, and there wasn't any place to sit in the shade. also, the seagulls kept taking our food. i called animal control - but they never came. on top of that - no one wanted to give me their sunscreen. im never going back.

There can't be any doubt, St Kilda Beach is Melbourne's most famous and popular beach with tourists and locals alike. It can be packed with beach lovers on a hot summer's day but even on much milder days you'll usually find some activity there. With its pristine white sand, the boardwalk, and backdrop of restaurants and eateries, it really is a fun place to visit.

(Translated by Google) Visit in December 2019. Melbourne's best sunset spot! You can see the ocean turning red. The penguins that appeared after sunset were able to see them more closely than expected and were smaller and cuter. If your purpose is to see penguins, be sure to check the sunset time and go before that to see the sunset! A seaside suburb of Melbourne, St. Kilda draws both locals and visitors with its wide stretch of sand beach on Port Phillip Bay as well as its shopping centers, eateries, and relaxing vibe. The suburb dates back to the Victorian era, when it was a destination for the city’s affluent residents.

Nowdays can't easily see the penguins as they locked the whole thing up during covid. The beach is huge and people that want privacy can easily find a secluded spot to yourself. Very nice boardwalk, big and clean and not hilly. Very windy in some spots. The actual water is clean and no jelly fish. Very good for jet skiing. Very accessible. Parking is cheap easy to find.

Lovely place, with a lot of construction going on. Don't let that deter you. Awesome boardwalk for fitness buffs. Not the best for any waves, but the water's good for a splash. Paid parking around the place though, plan for that.

St Kilda Beach is one of my favourite beach in Melbourne. I came to this beach every new year time except during 😷 pandemic! Happy spot for family and friends. Going alone is so boring bcoz you need someone to share!

St Kilda Beach is known to be the most popular beach in Victoria or Melbourne...you gotta go on a good day when the sun is shining and when the sky is super clear....the water feels like a mirror...the amount of people that go there is absolutely ridiculous nowadays....so many people but highly recommended, really cool beach....

St kilda is always a beautiful spot to visit. The beach included. We spotted a dolphin in the water extremely close to the shore this evening. He was bopping in and out of the water where three guys were swimming. You could spot the dolphin fin now and then on the water. Sadly we met with the tail end of the good weather for the day by the time we reached St Kilda from Mornington, and it started to get a bit stormy. But its still nice if you're a beach lover like me. Worth a visit.

Beautiful place to visit, lots of shops. Close to the city, but far enough away not to feel the city rush.

I visited at night. It seems the penguins area was under construction. There is no access to see penguins right now.

It is a really nice beach close to Melbourne CBD and easily accessed by public transport or car with a lot of paid parking slots along St Kilda Road. There are a lot of things to do in the area: - walk along the beach - sunbathe, swim on sunny days - visit nearby beautiful gardens - walk along the pier - play water sports If you love penguins, you can walk through the pier, to the St Kilda Penguin area (seem to be temporarily closed now), then you can see some penguins sometimes.

The best place for sitting and watching the sunset. I would recommend cycling and running along the beach.

The vibe is unique in St Kilda Beach. It's the people sitting on the grass, the clean water of the ocean coming in the air with the smell of salt, a guy playing a guitar around the beach bringing happiness and calm, it's life! If I were you I would go to the bar and have a beer to give a plus to all this.
