Beautiful luscious Green Park. Quite big for a good run around and play a sport or with the dog. Dog friendly with poop bags around but didn't see any water bowls. Nice lake and a couple of kids playgrounds around.

Lovely Park to walk around.Four times around the park equals 10,000 steps. It's very well maintained with lots of trees. Then it's a 15 walk to the beach for a takeaway coffee at Elwood Bathers. Parking is easy in New Street with a six hour limit.

Amazing Huge open grass area, that is Great for Dogs. Quaint little ponds to admire the water life. Enclosed playground on one side, and open playground on the other. Great Skate park. This place has it All. (Only 1 toilet tho) It's a worthy addition to any visit to Elwood. *8vD

Great place to take your fur babies to socialise with others. There is a big bulldog group that generally heads down there on a Saturday morning around 10am. The only real issues with the park is the cricket teams that seem to be taking over and the lack of bins available around the park. Other than that the place is perfect.

Lovely lake and ovals, with bike / pedestrian paths going all around it. Lots of happy dogs and apparently there are even turtles in the lake.

Pretty much your average park with lots of lawn area. Dogs are allowed here & often found on outings with their owners if the weather is suitable. Also found here are families enjoying daytime outings together, again if the weather is suitable

One of the last places to see natural marshland and herrings. Peaceful and a great place to start if you want to walk the canals to the sea.

Beautiful green park and one of the best off leash dog parks in the area! There's a few sports areas and a pleasant lake to walk around. It's quite busy during certain times, but the park is expansive so there's plenty of space. Brilliant park to take your dog, with lots of dogs to socialise and plenty of space to run around. Two gated children's playgrounds at each side of the park, wth plenty of benches and a toilet block.

There today for 10k charity walk. Bizarrely don't think I'd ever really walked around this park, just driven past it multiple times. Anyway lots of beautiful greenery like all Melbourne parks have and the obligatory public art.

Signs all over the kids area saying not to let dogs close or have them off leash near there... so what do people do? Walk through the playground with their untrained dogs to jump on and scare kids.

Great place for dogs and kids. Plenty of sports equipments. Great and friendly unleashed area. One improvement would be an outdoor fitness equipment.

Fabulous park for those with young kids and a dog to exercise. Two playgrounds with toilet facilities and water fountains, large green spaces (2 ovals) to exercise the pooch. For older kids there's also a skate park on the other side of a very pretty lake. If dog owners were more vigilant about picking up after their pets the green space would make a nice sports space as the grass is very well kept. I think there were bbq and covered picnic spaces as well.

It's such a nice open space to take the dogs to run around. Water spout & tap to get a drink and dodgy do bags provided to dispose of waste responsibley. Lots of beautiful birds, trees, and a pond. Cafe close by.

I love bringing my dog here. It's very clean and spacious, and my dog gets to socialise with other dogs.

The old golf course is a great rare bush escape bay side. Great small tracks and a few jumps for mountain bikes.

  • 5/5 Donna L. 2 years ago on Google
Great place, plenty of green space, trees and play areas for kids and families. A flat exercise/walking track wraps around the outside of the park with some paths leading into the centre of the park. A wonderful place to walk your dog off lead with loads of other dogs for them to socialise with too.

Great off lead dog park. Provide dog bags in a couple spots. Could do with another couple of water station as only 1 for dogs and it's crowded during busy periods. The other station is near the kids play area so not overly well located.

We visited here last week with my toddler and baby and had a great time. There is a large playground structure with stairs and slides as well as a huge sandpit. The park is fenced but the gates are not always closed. There is some great sitting areas for a bbq or picnic but the downside is that there is a flock of pigeons that seem to stick around and because of that there is bird poo on lots of the seats. As a bonus there is a cute lake to walk around outside the playground which is also fenced (a bonus if you have small kids).

Taking photos of the Womens Grandfinal was full of fun and excitement. Great location, home of the VAFA and strong support for women in sport. Highly recommend this park for events and footy

  • 4/5 Trish T. 1 year ago on Google
A well kept spacious park with a picturesque lake. This is very popular with dog owners where their furry friends can run off the lead, play with other dogs and chase their ball . There is also a play ground for the children and barbecues for a picnic The only negative is that not all dog owners have good control of their dog, so one needs to be alert.

They now have a line of ponds where the former Golf Club building stood. Nice walking paths and boulder crossing paths. Dogs have to be leashed. It's a work in progress, which will take many years to complete, but the council is doing the right thing returning former sports clubs on public land, to recreational park land which can be shared with wildlife, namely birds, ducks and plant life.

  • 4/5 Ramandeep Maan Local G. 4 years ago on Google
It is a nice place. There's always something going on; sports groups, friends, families, people with dogs, people without dogs, kids playing. A highlight is that it is pedestrian only. It has drinking water facility for both people and pets. It is well maintained by council. Fresh air & Clean. The lake is beautiful.

Lovely spot to start the day. I came for a walk and coffee pit stop and stayed for the doggies that greated me. The dogs may have been trying to eat my croissant, but hey I would surrender anything for a stolen moment.

  • 3/5 Harris S. 3 years ago on Google
There is no shade available on the swings. This makes it really uncomfortable on a hot day.

  • 4/5 Julie K. 3 years ago on Google

  • 5/5 Stuart M. 3 years ago on Google
Fantastic park with skate bowl/ramps and playgrounds for kids of all ages. Open grasslands for any type of family gatherings and plenty of room to kick a footy or soccer ball or set up the stumps for a hit of cricket.

A good park for dog owners; there are multiple spaces for a dog to run around without intruding into anyone else’s space, the walking track is quite serene, but there is no drinking fountain.

Love this park - especially the new nature reserve which is a reclaimed golf course. A lovely spot for a ramble, yet close to shops!

I used to play golf here and now I walk and ride my bike. I'm so pleased they kept this for the people and it is massively popular. Looking forward to the water feature being built.
